Scene: Main Room: Will's Tavern, Tar Valon
Contents: Thanos, Mirla, Caryll
Caryll looks up just as the door opens to allow entrance to two newcomers. His interest is faintly piqued and he follows their movements across the tavern, yet still keeping to his business.
Mirla salutes the new arrivals with her alemug.
The large warrior smiles in Mirla's direction and offers her a small bow before introducing his small companion to Thanos in low tones. The slight man then takes a seat next to Thanos at his table while the big warrior stands nearby looking about.
Thanos and the small man exchange low toned words, surely not wanting what they are discussing to be heard or understood.
The warrior appears to be standing guard over Thanos and the other man, making his size very noticed by any who might want to venture near, although you get the smallest hint that there is some posing for impressing mixed into his stance and gaze.
Caryll studies the room, seemingly impassively
Mirla minds her own business and her own ale after the initial wink at the big guy.
From the corner of your eye you see the small man at Thanos's table push a small leather bag across it to Thanos, while the warrior continues to ensure noone gets close enough to hear clearly.
Mirla looks out the corner of her eye and smirks, leaning back in her seat.
Thanos examines the bag, you think you hear the chink of coins but can't be sure. He nods and slides the bag off the table and ties it to a beltloop, clear coinage in there.
Caryll has lost himself in thought in mid-scan, only occasionally remembering to sip at the ale in his hand. If the exchange at the table holds interest for him, it is not readily evident in his manner.
The slight man and Thanos exchange more words, and in a moment of excitement the little stranger manages to say in a not so quiet tone, "Then you will?" which means with a frown, then a nod from Thanos.
The slight man regains control of himself and stands, shaking Thanos's hand in graditude, then looks to the large man and steps towards the door, stopping a moment later when the big man leans down to Thanos.
Thanos and the warrior mutter a few words into eachother's ears before the big man stands and escourts the little one out of the tavern, passing a slight smile at Mirla before they are gone.
Mirla smirks. "Ah, secret deals held in tha dark 'a night. Gotta love 'em."
Thanos glances at Mirla and her comment, "Hardly in the dark of night lady. It seems lit well enough here." and he rises, the clear sound of the coins in his possession sounding off.
Mirla laughs. "Aye, but Secret Deals in the Light of A Tavern has /no/ poetic ring ta it, Handsome."
Thanos steps near to you as he makes his way out, "Perhaps so, although doubtless if it were a poem in the making it would need to be spiced up. Perhaps it will be yet." and he looks directly to you with a smile, "And I'd not be calling me handsome, my man Bandrin has taken a liking to you if I'm any judge of his eyes. And even I am hesitant to come between him and someone who has his eye." and he chuckles, turning to head out of the tavern.
Mirla smirks and salutes his back with her ale mug.
Thanos gives you a nod and opens the tavern doors, stepping out of sight.
