A Noble's Request

Setting: Amyrlin's Office: White Tower, Tar Valon

Characters:
Micana - Keeper of the Chronicles
Raemira - Amyrlin
Adelina - High Seat of House Tiigril
Lyren - Youngest Noble of House Tiigril
Nobreon - High Seat of House Bortawin

Micana says "I had most of the guards remain in the courtyard. Lady Adelina brought her brother and this one with her."

Raemira inclines her head regally to Adelina, Lyren and Nobreon, but stand she does not, "Good evening. Lady Adelina, Lords." She murmurs, then motions to seats about the room for others to sit upon. Afterwards her eyes go expectantly to Miri, as if to obey some request already spoken.

Miri exits the Amyrlin's Suite.

Raemira turns her eyes to the others once the maid has left, "Now then, Lady Adelina, what is it you wished to speak about"

Lyren bows respectfully, but waits for Adelina to take the lead. His place isn't to speak.

Micana moves to a seat to the side and sits down, her presence remaining discrete.

Adelina enters with a look of calm. She has a hand on Lyren's arm, a sisterly gesture. After a moment she drops into a curtsy and says, "Good evening, Amyrlin." Then she moves toward the seat. "I wished to speak of the events at the Guild."

Nobreon moves and takes a seat beside Adelina.

"I am not certain there is much information I can give to you." Raemira speaks honestly, "I have not yet had time to interrogate the one prisioner that was captured, however it was confirmed there were two attackers.

Micana quietly observes how the people sort themselves out among the chairs available, remaining silent.

Lyren remains standing, a mask of emotionlessness keeping his eyes blank and unreadable.

Nobreon nods and listens in silence to Raemira.

Adelina nods and she takes her seat and straightens her skirts, "I had feared there might have been." She glances back as she realizes her brother didn't sit but her face does not change, "The information is not the only reason I am here, Amyrlin."

Raemira lifts a brow silently, "What would the other reason be, child?" She asks, her words meaning no disrespect at all. Afterall, she -is- Mother.

Adelina leans forward a little, "With the events that have occured resently I fear that I may not be safe staying in the city. So I would like to request a room for me and my brother within the Tower, since I feel it will be the safest place for us."

Adelina adds on to the end, "Mother." She seems to take to the Amyrlin title better though.

Raemira seems to regard Adelina quietly for a few moments, then inclines her head, "I believe arrangements can be made" She murmurs, "We've plenty of guest rooms here."

Nobreon raises a curious brow at Adelina's request, but again keeps his silence.

Lyren's slight nod betrays his fear that they would have been refused.

Raemira adds, "Would you also, at this time, be taking the training I had asked of you sometime back" Her eyes seem to delve deeply into Adelina, as she quietly watches the woman, playing a card she's been holding for awhile.

Micana sits quietly, her eyes moving from one to the other in quick movements as she tracks the conversation, focusing on faces, lips as the conversation progresses.

Adelina grinds her teeth for a mere second, but more than long enough. "I could also do that." She throws another glance back at her brother before looking back.

Nobreon appears in deep thought about just what the Amyrlin could mean.

Lyren's eyes flicker towards Adelina as she looks back, then he returns to watching the Amyrlin and the Keeper.

Raemira inclines her head, not explaining the meaning of the words in anyway, "Very well. I will speak to Lanta Sedai about some of the classes offered here then. She is the Mistress of Novices and would know what would best suit you since you have had private tutors." The One Power stays out of the discussion, "We can take this time to finalize some of the other things we've discussed as well." Raemira notes, "But I will save that for later. Was there anything else you wanted or needed to request?"

Lyren leans forward, speaking very lowly with Adelina, not sure if his question is appropriate.

Micana nods slightly, continuing to listen.

Lyren mutters to Adelina, "... training... for me? I... a... do once... return..."

Lyren whispers "Would.. training be out of the question for me? I still have a duel to do once we return..."

Nobreon glances at Adelina and then the Amyrlin.

Adelina listens to Lyren and then hears the Amyrlin but is stuck with her eyes narrowed at her brother. When she gets herself under control and processes what the Amyrlin said she thinks a moment and then says, "It could have been many people.."

Lyren nods his head slightly, stepping back again, leaving it to his sister to decide.

"Any specfic ideas, so we know who to look for?" Raemira asks, her tone suggesting she needs something more concrete to work from.

Micana 's glance sharpens as she watches, her expression unchanging otherwise as she awaits the reply to the additional questions silently.

Adelina leans forward again, "I would look for a Cairhien noble of high standing. Possibly..." She glances back at Lyren, "Lord Delos of Mogrend. Or Lady Emalthia of Kateel. Or any others that were in running for the Throne. Those are the ones that come to mind."

Nobreon raises an eyebrow at the names mentioned. You can tell me mentally takes note of them.

Lyren's eyes tighten momentarily.

Raemira seems to incline her head, "We will look through that list quite thoroughly" Her tone seems to implicate the Tower will do just that, "Now if you will excuse me... It is late. One of the maids can show you to your rooms for the evening" She indicates to Adelina and Lyren, since they were the ones who asked for sanctuary.

Adelina looks at Lyren one last time, "One last thing Mother. Could it be possible for my brother to train under some of the Warders?" She stands up though. This was definatly a last minute desision to mention.

Nobreon rises and bows before the Amyrlin.

Micana rises at the dismissal and moves toward the door, the rustle of her skirt making a rhythmic accompaniment to her motions.

Raemira lifts a brow silently, "Certainly." her eyes go to Lyren, addressing him personally, "If you can find a Gaidin willing to take you on for training"

Lyren straightens up a little. "Thank you, Mother."

Adelina curtsies and then straightens, "Thank you as well, Mother." Then she moves toward her brother, ready to leave.

Adelina is a little more comfortable with 'Mother' now.

Raemira inclines her head silently, watching the others.
