Ogier Grove: Tar Valon, Tar Valon

Tall trees of every make, higher than you've ever imagined, assault your eyes as you first enter into the Grove. Their sheer size is astounding, as they rise beyond the lowest spired building in the streets and several of the higher towers. Small paths work their way in and out of the trees, allowing one to go explore the wonders of this wide wonder, spanning almost two miles in diameter truly making it a forest inside the city.

Everything seems alight with color as pale pastels, strong reds and blues and other colors of the flowers come to life with the new season, the season of birth and growth, Spring. Birds chirp their happy songs and rabbits and other small wood animals that live in the grove pop in and out, unaware of any others. No matter the season, people come in and out of the Grove. Under the trees you can see children laughing and playing, while those older sit atop a blanket having some sort of picnic or luncheon.

There is one visible exit seems to be the gates leading to the TreeSingers Avenue. If you venture far enough into the grove you might glimpse a strange structure that seems quite forgotten, covered in vines and other sorts of vegetation.

Contents: Gregory, Wyntere, Meeko

Meeko is standing by the pond staring into the water. Her guard, Keats, is in the trees watching over her. She needed some time alone to think about the events in her life. Meeko is distraught over the whole affair of the man she once loved. How can a man such as Kirill break so, ah but the death of a family can do strange things to a person.

Gregory walks into the Ogier Grove, eyes scanning the area much like the famed Gaidin of the White Tower. It's almost as if Gregory is scowling, but his eyes seem ... emotionless, rather than hard and angered. Gregory makes no attempts at hiding his entrance into the Grove, he is not here to sulk in shadows and spy on others. By the towel around the Captain's neck, the man is here, perhaps, to get some quiet practice in.

Two hawks fly into the grove with a young lady following them. Wyntere is embraced and enjoying just being in the grove. She's got her gloves on and it's time for trying her younger hawk, Cale. There alot of things she has to think about lately and a nice break to something she enjoys is worth it.

Bending down to pick up some pebbles Meeko tosses them into the water. A small furry creature scampers up to her and she smiles "hello little one." she speaks softly as she pulls some bread from her cloak and holds it out to the creature. Meeko loves the animals of the Grove and they her. She then stands and skips a few more pebbles on the water. She is unaware that anyone has entered the Grove.

Gregory pauses to give the entrant to the yard an apprasing glance. A hawker, eh? Gregory nods to Wyntere before continuing on. Down the path he walks, past the pond where he stops to give the Acting High Ambassador a bow. SHe doesn't appear to want to be disturbed, so Gregory keeps it breif. "Light Shine, Ambassador Meeko," comments the Captian before he starts to turn and continue walking.

"Cale!" Wyntere kicks a few rocks cursing softly, that stubborn hawk. She takes off running to follow him. Glancing to Ladyhawke, she speaks with the hawk a second and then both hawks start skimming over the pond a few inches above the water. The young lady reaches the edge of the water and calls, "Cale, here." Come on, hawk. Come to me. Lady lands on one wrist of Wyntere, but Cale heads up to the trees. Well, such is life and the reason she trains them.

Meeko startled by the Hawks Meeko turns and then hears her title. She nods at the Captain "afternoon." she is not in a real good mood. Instinctively she turns to the wayward hawk and communicates with the little one "Wyntere he is freightened. I tried to explain nothing will harm him if he listens to you." she again looks to the Captain "how is Kirill holding out Captain?"

Gregory arches an eyebrow at the two women, then at the young hawk. That receives a bit of a frown, then it is gone as Gregory again nods to Meeko. "He is holding out as well as a man can stuck in a dank dungeon with the posibility of prisontime, exile and even death over his head, Ambassador."

Wyntere turns hard eyes on Meeko now. That's it! She can talk to him herself. "He isn't one that spooks easily." How is she suppose to train them with the other interrupting. "Cale, here." The young one flies down to her just fine after she opens communication up with the bird. Nope, this one is not happy with others messing with her hawks. She releases Lady to the air and feeds Cale. "Meeko, one doesn't always have the privileges of using certain talents and hawks must come to the sound of voices. My talent with hawks goes beyond my inborn abilities." And yes, her voice isn't one of exactly friendly.

Meeko nods to Wyntere "I see. Well oneday you shall have to teach me your secret to training them then." she seems to ignor the tone of voice and looks to Gregory "I fear the death of his family has driven him over the edge. It is a shame he was a good man." she sighs and most definately isn't herself presently.

Gregory turns his upraised eyebrow towards Meeko specifically and nods. "Yes, that would cause someone to loose their mind if they were instable to begin with. I hadn't heard about his family, however. Do you know what happened to them, Ambassador?"

Wyntere glances back to Meeko. "It isn't something taught to everyone. Just like you heal beyond your inborn abilities. I train hawks. There is no secret." Is that a 'no, i don't want to teach you'? Possibly. She looks to Cale and then sends him out again to fly a moment. You mess with him, Meeko, and I'll... well, that's as far as her thoughts get. Yes, she'll figure out how to survive beyond that dreaded words of channelers. Cale spins a few circles above and then Wyntere calls him back, "Cale, here." And again he flys off not coming. Biting her lip she looks to ladyhawke.

Meeko shakes her head to Gregory "no, nothing more than what he said to me that they were dead. He said something about everything he loved in his life was dead and I would be next." She holds back the tears as she continues "We were to be married oneday Captain. He swore his love to me, I even wear his mark." Meeko is having a bit of trouble speaking of this "Yes I knew he was married but he and his wife were having problems or something and he spent much of his time with me, he even taught me to be a thief-catcher. One night he came to me and attacked me at home, I should have reported it but didn't because I was so shocked at how he had been, he didn't even remember my name. I knew then he was ill but could not fine out why. Then he vanished for a long period of time and that horrible nite here was the first I saw him since then." Trying to control her emotions, the High Ambassador turns away and simply stares at the hawks in flight.

Gregory studies the Ambassador with coll emotionless eyes, the eyes of a Gaidin, some would say. Gregory nods thoughtfully, "I see. Though, you should have brought this information to light earlier, and you should have reported the break in before now, Ambassador." Gregory looks after teh hawks thoughtfully, then looks at Wyntere. "You have a ... talent with Hawks? If I may, what sort of talent? I have seen some hawkers before, but never been able to speak with them."

"Ladyhawke, here." This hawk is fully trained and comes at command. Wyntere then looks over to the captain. "I train hawks as you have seen all other hawks trained. I'm also a channeler that can speak with them through channeling." No, she won't hide that fact. It isn't like the tower doesn't already know. "But good sir, I must get back to Paulo's shop. I have chores to take care of." She looks up at Cale and whistles a little. Then the hawk flies down to her. So she trains them to obey all sorts of commands. Makes life a bit more interesting. "Bye, Meeko."

Meeko waves to her friend then turns back to the Captain "Sir I did not say he broke in. Kirill and I were lovers and he was free to come and go from my home as he wished. I did discover that the nite we met him in the Grove here that he went to my shop, scared my woman Maria and destroyed part of the herbs and shelving. I guess the stress of it all I just didn't remember to report that." The tears roll down her face. "I once loved that man and having to stop him from harming himself or others if difficult to live with. He is not right in the mind and I pray someone can help him."

Gregory gives Wyntere a nod. He says nothing about her being a channeler, his expression never changes. He simply watches the hawks, perhaps admiring them, before turning back to Meeko. Gregory gives the Ambassador a bow. "I understand, Ambassador Meeko. Thank you for your cooperation. I do hope this ordeal is over for you soon enough." Gregory looks up, and gives Keats a nod, knowing the man was there all along. For a moment, Gregory stands where he is, then purses his lips, looking towards the exit of the Grove. Returning his gaze to the two woman, the Captain gives a final nod. "Light Illumine your paths," he comments before exiting. So there will be no practice today, at least not right now, it seems.

Meeko nods to Gregory "Captain if you need any more information please feel free to contact me." she then turns and agains stares at the calm waters in the pond.

Gregory nods on his way out, calling over his shoulder. "Of course, Ambassador."

Gregory wanders west, leaving the peaceful Ogier Grove.
