Summary:Confrontation and death at the Inn: Confrontation at the Inn with Fynlee, the pawn for the killer Mez'Tolth

Common Room: Flaming Arrow Inn, Tar Valon

The common room of the Flaming Arrow Inn attracts both travelers and residents of Tar Valon. Its casual elegance comes from the extensive use of waxed and carved golden oak. To one side, an solid staircase with bronze arrow banisters below the oaken railing rises to the upper floor. Across from the stairs, a huge stone fireplace sits below a mantle carved with flames and arrows on either side. Large beams cross the high ceiling, supported by shaped columns where lanterns are mounted. Windows are placed across the entry wall of the Inn, which lies opposite from the long bronze-trimmed carved bar by the kitchen door.

Some of the windows of the common room have been opened, and the fire in the hearth only burns at night and on cooler days. Occasional conversation drifts in from the garden tables outside, in use again. Arrangements of spring wildflowers grace the mantle and tables, their rich scents and color making the room cheery. Mouth-watering smells from the kitchen drift in and mix with the delicate scent of the flowers and even fainter aroma of Tabac. The morning light coming through the windows highlights the several hungry patrons sitting here at breakfast and those who move through the common room quickly, heading out to do their daily business. By the door to the kitchen, a hand-lettered sign reads "Todays Late Night Special from our cook is: Stuffed Trout, Greens, Bread and Cheese."

Keats comes down the wooden stairs from the second floor.

Shallenne comes into the common room from the stable yard outside.

Fynlee comes into the common room from the stable yard outside.

a large man, solid and tough enters the comman and looks around, a bit of a stupid look on his face. Lumbering to the bar, he orders a draft and takes a seat, his girth coveing the wooden stool.

Fynlee takes a seat at the Long Oak Bar.

Meeko enters the Inn after a morning of rounds. She inhales the wonderful smells of breakfast as she walks over to the window table to be seated. The Ambassador looks around the room, nodding to patrons and merchants she knows untill her eyes fall upon the man at the bar. Seeing Fynlee Meeko glares, the fire egnites in her being at the sight of the fool she knows as Mez'tolth man. Quickly she glances round the room again looking for the cold hearted man. She sits facing the door and in a position to see what is going on around her.

Keats comes slowly down the stairs, fighting off the night's sleep. His staff makes a secondary thump to his footsteps as he walks and he makes his way over to a table so he might order some food to break the night's fast. He doesn't seem to interested in those around him and waves over a serving maid to order some tea and some bread.

A few moments later the door opens again and a young Altaran woman steps in bright and cheery, a merry little tune on her lips as she brushes a few horsehairs off her jacket. Shallenne pauses just inside the door, glancing quickly about and smiling brightly to Meeko before setting a course towards the bar. She gives the large man who sits there a polite nod as she waits to get the barmaids attention.

The bar tendor brings a large mug of alie to Fynlee and he takes it in his massive fist, knocking back half the glass and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Turning on the stool, he faces the main of the common, seeming to take notice of the two ambassadors and the strange man, his eyes seem to shine with maleviolence at Meeko but he only takes another long pull from the mug and glances at the door. *the master said to meet him here* the giant man thinks to himself though his lips mouth the words, he takes another drink and waits.....

Meeko smiles to Shallenne "Grand Morning Ambassador how are you this fine day?" she directs her attention to Shallenne but most definately does not miss the look from Fyn. I hear a delegation is comeing into town tomorrow from the outlying cities. It is said the flooding is growing near and I hope you will be able to be there to greet them." she tries to hide her unease and rage at the Inn allowing animals into drink . "by the way have you heard of the disappearance of the merchants, I think Gerrick is up to something evil." she again glances around the room, pausing only momentarily at the scruffy looking man with the staff that just came in.

Keats scratches at his beard and seems to just realize he hasn't shaven that morning. Ah well seems to be the inward reply as the man shrugs. As the serving maid returns with his food, Keats hands over a few coins and starts in on his simple meal, glancing around the room casually as he does so.

"Oh, its a grand morning indeed," Shallenne replies with a bright smile. "And it finds me very well, as I hope it does you." She keeps half an eye out for the barmaid to be free as she talks across to Meeko. "I heard something of the sort, but I'm afraid I don't know many of the details. Perhaps if you've a moment to spare you might fill me in?" she asks hopefully. The barmaid finally finishes serving and turns her attention to Shallenne. "Yeah?" she asks. "Ah. I believe you have a man by the name of Fanrin staying here. Could you see that he gets this message please?" She hands over a sealed note.

Feeling a bit edgy, for a large man that isn't the best thing, waiting for Mez to show, Fynlee has the barman refill his stein with ale and regains his feet with a suprising lightness for such a massive one. He lumbers across the common and looks down at the little man with the long staff "Nice Staff" he says, a smirk on his lips "twould make a good toothpick" he chuckles as he passes on his way toward the fire. Again his eye sweep over Meeko and the fire in his eyes burn, he almost heads toward her but dosen't........

Smiling in that oh so sarcastic way at the big man's comment, Keats shoots a glare at Fynlee's back and then ignores him to chew on some bread and glance towards the ladies who are most likely gossiping at something or other.

Mez'tolth comes into the common room from the stable yard outside.

Meeko listens to Shallenne yet her attention is on Fyn as he rises and head to the new man. She quickly takes in the room and considers embracing but it is much to dangerous for her. She reaches down and fingers her dagger, a safety measure she started carrying since Mez escaped. "Do come over Shal and lets talk. It is rummored that Gerrick is threatening the merchants and some have mysteriously disappeared." she takes her food from the server. Her eyes still seemed glued to the interaction of Fynn and that stranger.

The message safely handed over, Shallenne acquires a glass of water before she turns away from the bar and makes her way across to where Meeko sits. "Thanks," she remarks as she pulls out a chair and settles down, casting a quick non committal glance at the large man and the other with the staff. "So when exactly did this start? I seem to have missed out on some of the details." She frowns slightly at that, as she does try to keep up with what is happening about the city, but there just seems to be too much to fit into each day.

Mez'tolth walks in through the front doors as though he has nothing to hide, a large smile on his face. His eyes quickly are drawn to Meeko and the smile seems to slither across his face, his eyes burning with fires and ashes "Fynlee!" he calls in a loud voice and the behemouth turns in mid stride, the beer in his glass sloshing over and some of it splashing on Keats, Fyn eyes the man and laughs a deep laugh "It is good that you are here" the small dark figure rasps, his voice as the grating of bones.....he strides across the floor to the table by the fire, his had ever-ready near the hilt of his dagger.

Fynlee turns and follows Mez'tolth.....

Meeko chuckles and gives Shal a quick glance "Well I know that since Zedrum has been back we see so little of you" Meeko comments in a playful voice. Her grip on the dagger tightens as she notices Mez enter the Inn and she hears his hated voice. Her eyes go dark as she whispers to Shallenne "be cautious that one has escaped and I suspect the body that we found in the stable loft was his doing." she cautions her friend totally forgetting the previous conversation. Dark eyes never move from the evil foe.

Keats casually adjusts his staff so that it would end up between Fynlee's legs, hopefully tripping the large man.

Motioning a server over Meeko hands him a silver and tells him to run to the Tower and bring the guard. The server nods and goes ashen as he turns to head for the door quickly.

"I try to call in at the offices as frequently as possible," Shallenne remarks a soft smile settling on her lips at mention of the scholar. "But with the business picking up now.. and Zedrum, maybe I'm not there as often as I should be," she admits with a little sigh. As her eyes turn to the new arrival, she murmers to Meeko. "A body.. in the stable loft? Light! I am missing out on some important facts."

Fynlee's feet catch the staff and he trips, falling heavely to the floor on his face and smashing his nose "Arrrrggggghhhhhh!" he moans and turns to look up at the little man with the Staff. Climbing to his feet he begins to move toward him but is stopped by a look from the Dark Little man with the long curved dagger. Mez snarls "you can have you fun later idiot, we must need to talk at first so bring you drink and sit" his words leave no room for argument and Fynlee does as he is told, wiping a trail of blood from his upper lip on the leg of his trouser, he turns his face toward Keats "just you hold for a time and I will treat you and your staff little man".

Keats chuckles as Fynlee falls and he comments smartly, "Sorry, didn't mean for you to trip over my toothpick." Grinning at his comment he takes a sip of his drink as he notes that the large man is stopped from trying to gain any revenge on him. As the stranger threatens him to, Keats simply puts his hands out before him in a welcoming gesture, all the while with a smart smirk upon his lips.

Meeko jumps as Fyn hits the ground, she cannot help chuckling at the sight of the fool on the floor. She then turns and leans to Shallenne "See that little man, the evil looking one? He is a killer, escaped from the Tower dungeon for murdering children. We found a body a time ago in the loft here and I suspect he is responsible for it too. Morc is in charge of the investigation and I do hope that server gets him here soon." she again shifts her attention to the man with the staff and grins, nodding her approval at his actions and his words.

Fynlee and Mez'tolth talk for a while in hushed tones and if you were looking you would think that Mez was doing the bulk of the talking, Fyn looking as a beaten dog. At length, the beer gone from the big man's glass, Mez hands him a fat golden mark "you do as I say or....." his voice trials off and the last is not heard, Fynlee nods and regains his feet, heading toward the door and shooting a look of dread, if such could be on such a man "You will regret that, I shall finsih my mas...ah, Mez'tolth's bidding and return for you" he says in a slow-witted way and goes out the door..........

Fynlee opens the door to the stable yard and heads outside.

Shallenne watches the little incident with a frown, a growing concern in her eyes about those two men. She turns her gaze to Keats, giving him a little smile, a pale imitation of her usual brightness. What a morning to pick to come and deliver that note. "He's murdered children?" she murmers with distinct distaste as she studies the little man. And then the other one is up and moving again, so her gaze turns to him, a little relieved to see him make his way out of the door. "I hope Morcath hurries too in that case," she agrees softly with Meeko.

Mez'tolth tuns in his seat, his eyes resting on Meeko and Shallenne and he stands, taking a step in their direction "Meeko" he says, his voice now sounding like steam escaping from a pit "It is so very good to see you" he smiles "and your friend....." he turns toward Shalleen and smiles a vicious smile, the fire of the dark one in his eyes "we haven't met.... Be so good as to introduce us" his eyes now on Shalleene, apraising her as though she might be something fun to play with and his fingers slide over the hilt of the slaughter weapon by his side. "Morcaht?" he laughs "I have been seeking the man" and his eyes blaze again, turning to Meeko.

Meeko nods to Shallenne about Morc and also the fact of the murders Mez has committed "yes he is a killer and from rumors I hear he is a spawn of the dark." she hisses out the words in total distaste. Hearing Mez's voice so close she looks up and glared "It was a grand morning till you showed up." her voice cold. "Morcath will be here soon and you will be where you belong." Eyes remain on Mez as her hand grips the dagger with a readiness to use it. "now leave us alone vile one." her voice in definate warning as she feels a tingle of saidar run through her in reaction to the threat so near.

Guenev comes down the wooden stairs from the second floor.

Dark eyes follow the man as he approaches, as Shallenne drops one hand into her lap, fingertips brushing over the hilt of her own dagger to reassure herself of its presence. Her other hand extends towards that glass of water that resides on the table, which she picks up and takes a swift sip from. "My name's Shallenne," she remarks to the man, fixing him with an unwavering gaze, that certainly takes some effort. "And I don't appreciate you looking at me like that."

Finishing his bread, the staff man sits back in his chair so he can sip what is left of his tea in a more leisurely manner. He glances around the room and ends up casually watching Mez and the two women. Doesn't seem like Mez is exactly the ladies man from their reaction, not that Keats can hear much from where he is.

Guenev walks gracefully in from outside, hips swaying ever so suggestively, lashes covering her eyes mostly. Scanning the room her eyes stop on Meeko, smile never faltering.

A chill expression crosses the little man's face and his mouth forms a tight line in anger as his eyes gleam with hatred and lothing "Should I come upon the man, he will be fit only for the grave when I finish, his left had carressing the medallion round his neck "shallene" he mouths the name and seems to calm "do you really know the woman with whom you are sitting?" his eyes glow as he glances at Meeko "There is more to her than you could know.... Meeko..." he looks at the Ambassador "I have need of your service, you will come with me for a time now" he says and turns to head back to his table, stopping after a couple of steps and looking back at her, still firmly in her seat "I said, I have a task for you!" his voice grows a bit harsh as though the woman should jump from her seat. As Guenev walks in, his eyes take in her manner and a small smile forms on his lips, his attention returning to Meeko "well" he hisses.

Guenev looks over the little man, dismissing him and finaly going to find a seat of her own.

Meeko glares, the fire in her eyes grow "I will not come with you, I do no task for on as evil as you Mez." the power rushes through her as the threat grows, shame she can't use it to choke this man on the spot, alas she does not have control. "Shallenne be careful please he is evil and is not below murdering for what he wants." Meeko remains seated.

Hrmming softly, Keats softly shifts the staff at his side so he can rise more easily and grab it if necessary. He sets his tea down on the table and sits up straighter as he watches this scene unfold before him.

The man's words cause Shallenne's face to briefly take on a puzzled look. Of course she knows Meeko.. has done for about three years now. She glances at Meeko, giving her a little smile, not quite sure what the man is trying to suggest and not intending to fall victim to any malicious games he might have desire to play. "I've no intention of causing any trouble, or getting into any," she reassures her.

Mez'tolth stops, his eyes drawing narrow at Meeko "You will regret that My Lady Fair" his voice again sounding evil with mal-intent and he takes a step in her direction, his hand falling to the hilt of his dagger...... The front door bursts open and Fynlyee returns, his iron cudgel in his massive fist "I am finished he shouts and head towards Keats"

Fynlee comes into the common room from the stable yard outside.

Guenev rises from her chair, again that seductive grace that seems to be born into all Arad Domani women. She moves for the door.

Meeko pulls her dagger in reaction to Mez's move. Her eyes defient "move back before I use you for target practice." she is not the one hissing. How Meeko wishes he could channel right now and stop this man. Morc, where is Morc when you need him. "Mez your a fool you cannot order me nor anyone and oneday I will watch your head roll for all the murders you have done."

Expecting something to happen, though not quite expecting it to come from the door, Keats was mostly ready when Fynlee shouts that he's back. Fool, he could've snuck up behind Keats and had a headstart on the fight. As it is, Keats is up and holding his staff at the ready when Fynlee comes closer. And it seems the little staffman is giving the big brute the first move anyway.

Mez'tolth watches at the Aes Sedai heads for the door and spins as Fynlee comes through it "Fynlee! I told you......." but the giant brushes past him, moving like a mountain toward Keats, the cudgel raised for a vicious blow at the man's head.......Mez pulls death from it's scabbard and holds it tightly by his waist, his eyes on fire and his attention pulled from Fynlee's attack on Keats he takes a small step back.........

Shallenne blinks as Mez moves towards Meeko, not quite able to believe what she's seeing. Surely the man can't intend to actually draw that dagger. "Light! This is as bad as being back in Ebou Dar," she murmers, as her hand hovers by her own dagger, not that she's much good at actually using it. The sound of the door opening draws her attention, a worried frown resulting as she sees the big man return and the cudgel in his hand. She winces slightly as she sees the Domani woman heading that way, hoping that Fynlee's attention is on Keats too much for him to cause any bother to the woman.

Guenev leaves the inn, to get guards, no doubt, unless stopped.

Keats steps back and to the side, out of the way of the downward swinging cudgel, and lashes out with an outside swing at the big mans knee, hoping if nothing more than to slow him down.

Meeko in her fit of anger over Mez, the escapee reacts as attentions turn. She looses her dagger at the man aiming at his dagger arm. She did promise Morc not to kill him even though she would love to right about now "Shallenne watch out." She knows how fast that little fool can be.

Keat's attack catches Fynlee hard on the cap of his knee and a loud pop, the distinct sound of breaking bones can be heard throughout the common as the big man's cudgel smashes down on the top of a table, splintering through. Even as the big man falls, his free hand whips out in a grab for Keats's boot.......Mez's eye flair with rage and he turns, but turns back to Meeko, the dagger holding it's place by his side, he begins to move in Fyn's direction, concerned that his lacky might be in trouble...... Meeko's dagger catches him in the right shoulder and sinks to the bone, his hand falls and his grip on the dagger losens but he is able to hold it still as he tries to slide it back to it's sheath and head for the door. "Meeko!" he screams, spittle flying from his lips "You....!" he manages to slide the dagger back but staggers as he grips the hilt of the one in his shoulder, teeth bared in anger.....

.

Watch out? Shallenne needs no encouragment to do that, though she seems to have thankfully escaped the attention of either man. Her fingers curling about the hilt of her dagger, she stands up from her seat in a very defensive rather than offensive manner, so that she might at least be able to move out of the way quickly. Not a typical Altaran reaction perhaps. "Just keep away from him Meeko," she urges the woman as she sees her launch her attack and then the consequences. "Oh, blood and ashes!" She takes up a ready stance, as she watches Mez carefully.

Keats smiles grimly as the sweet sound of squishing bone is heard through the common room, and thankful that the bone breaking isn't his. However, Keats isn't fast enough to get out of the way of Fyn's reaching hand, distracted as he is by other happenings in the common room. Going down he tosses his staff to the side and slaps his hand back to soften his fall and to get a head start, hopefully, on scrambling away from the large man with the broken leg and more importantly, the cudgel.

Mez'tolth reaches the door and exits, a finial sneer at Keats and another for the two Ambassadors "next time I shall have no compassion!" he manages to say just before he leaves. "Master!" Fynlee yells as he sees the small man impailed with Meeko's dagger, his hand tighting it's hold on Keats's boot, he drags the little man toward him and swings the cudgel in a wide ark, aimed at his chest "I will be done with you and then... that Woman must die!" his eyes smolder with rage at Meeko.

Meeko steps back from her seat, she does retreat as the flow of the power runs high. She wishes she could stop the man. As she does weaves of air eminate from the wilder in an attempt to grab him. Shame Meeko is not in control, she has no clue what she is doing.

Mez'tolth opens the door to the stable yard and heads outside.

Shallenne winces at the sound of the two scrabbling on the floor, her attention momentarily being drawn across that way. She quickly weighs up the situation though noting that Mez leaves, she breathes a little sigh of relief, despite the predicament of the other. Fynlee is on the floor, surely he should be easy enough to deal with. She looks to Meeko questioningly.

Still scrambling back to avoid being drawn into the big beast, Keats notices the cudgel coming towards him and reaches out for it, perhaps softening the blow a little though from the growl of pain it still hurt as it connected with his hand quite a bit.

As Mez leaves Meeko's attention goes back to the man who dared to take on Fynn. She is most definately impresses and remains out of harms way. As she relaxes a bit and the immediate threat gone, the Power dissipates from her.

Fynlee lifts the cudgel again and turns to launch it at Meeko with a snarl, shifiting again, he levers onto his backside, the useless leg draging now behind him and spewing blood for the compound fracture "your a dead little man, staff-man!' he shrieks as he lifts the little man like a bale of hay and lauches him in the direction that the cudgel just went..... sweat now pouring from his brow, he starts to try and climb to his one good foot......

Being considerably bulkier than the cudgel and not quite as aerodynamic, and the fact that Fynlee is on his back, Keats doesn't make it quite as far as the cudgel, instead managing to crash through a table a few paces away. Yet having quite a few bar brawls under his belt he manages to go through the table without too much damage (ahem). Staggering to his feet he turns towards fynlee and braces himself on what's left of the table in case the big man can actually make it to him.

Seeing the danger Meeko reacts. A weave of air goes out and knocks the cudgel off its path as Meeko pulls and looses another dagger in Fyn's direction. Fear and anger flowing through her, her eyes afire. Another weave goes out to cushion the fall of the brave man that took on Fynn but apparently the Wilder is not quite good enough, having no control over the weaves, to have helped the hero.

the dagger takes Fynlee in the chest and he staggers back, having barely gained his balance, holding onto a chair, he lumber after Keats, shooting a wicked glance at Meeko and tossing the chair at he as well.....her dagger standing out in his chest and blood pouring from the wound, the big man continues to struggle after Keats.

Seeing that she seems to have escaped the man's attention, Shallenne remains stood by the window where she is. Her dagger isn't made for throwing and she has no intention of getting close enough to actually use it. She stands gaping horrified as Meeko's dagger impacts in Fynlee's chest. With the cudgel not too far from where she's stood, she moves to pick it up, not about to let him have it back to use on her or anyone else.. as though he might be able to. Its a little heavier than she had anticipated though and it droops to the floor in her grasp.

Meeko ducks as the chair comes at her, she grumbles as she scrambles to find another dagger in her cape. Sighing she realizes she left the others home and crawls to a safe distance from the ruckus.

Well having no dagger on his person, Keats takes opportunity as it is offered and lunges at the big, lumbering Fynlee and grabs at the dagger, pushing inward with all his might and twisting all the while with a grim look on his face as he tries to ignore any retaliation the big man might be able to give.

Fynlee staggers back and reaches to take hold of Keats wrists.... his eyes buldging with the pain in his chest and his leg "You little...." he starts to say as Meekos dagger, driven by Keats's hand slices through bone and muscle, blood spews forth drenching Keats.....

Cluthing that cudgel, Shallenne moves slowly forward, peering down aroudn the table to make sure that Meeko is alright. What Keats does with that dagger then really causes her to blanch, and she swallows to retain some composure, the spurting blood not helping any. The cudgel slips from her fingers and drops with a thunk to the floor as she takes a step back to lean against the table.

"Die you big..." Keats growls as he pushes the big man back and tries to step out of the way of the grasping hands of the dieing man. Mr. Staff-Man would be rather surprised if Fynlee could actually do anything else in the state he is in.

Fynlee pulls on the little mans wrists but his great strength seems to be failing him, his jaw drops open and he falls instead, catching Keats beneath him as he does in Shallennes direction.........At Keats's words his eyes rolls to the top of his head and the stupid look on his face crumbles ot a look of, death...... turning with Keat's push the giant falls to the floor and dies, blood pooling around him.

Meeko watches wide-eyed from her position. She looks up to Shallenne to confirm she is fine. Her attention again turns to Keats, a hero in her eyes now and maybe useful to her later. Meeko is use to the spurting of blood in her work. Once Fynn stops moving she rises and rushes over to Keats "I'm a healer, are you alright?" she seems to be genuinly concerned but actually wants to meet this man.

Keats gasps as he wipes some blood from his face and tries to push himself up with one hand. Too bad he used the hand that blocked the cudgel and he 'umphs' as his arm slips out from under him and his back hits the floor again. Looking up to Meeko he grins and comments, "I could use a bath." And right on the heels of that stupid comment a grimace of pain races across his face as he adds wheezingly, "My hand could use some help at the very least."

Shallenne stands frozen, staring down at the mountain of dead and bloody body. She just doesn't seem able to look away. There's not a mark on her own body though, so no need for any concern for her. Finally, she manages to move, taking a step further away from the body as her gaze moves over to the hero staff wielder. "Is.. is there anything I can do to help?" she asks Meeko in a wavering little voice, a far cry from her usually confident manner.

Mez'tolth slips in through the door and see's that Fynlee has been beaten, Meekos dagger now in his hand he snarls and takes aim at the Ambassador, standing near Shallenne and fires the Dagger "Burn you Meeko" he snarls and retreats.........

Meeko looks to Shallenne "just keep yourself safe Ambassador." She turns back to Keats to take his hand. She hears that horrible voice and looks up to see Mez and the dagger heading toward her. A bit to late as the dagger hits her left arm. Meeko yelps and drops behind Keats.

Guenev opens the door to the stable yard and heads outside.

Mez'tolth darts out and disappears into the streets.

The dagger flies and the first thing Shallenne knows is as it whispers through the air past her. "Meeko!" she cries out, too late as the dagger impacts. Finally jolted out of her inaction, she glances to the door, seeing that the man has already disappeared and then hurries over to Meeko. "Oh.. light!" she mutters, trying to see just how badly the woman is wounded.

Keats sighs softly. So much for his hand. Crawling over to Meeko he checks the dagger wound but notes it doesn't look life threatening. Turning his blood soaked face to Shallenne he says, "Go get some help. Aes Sedai if you must."

Meeko graons and reaches up to the dagger. "It's not to bad Shallenne." she looks to Keats "Please pull it out when I tell you." she then reaches into her pouch and produces a roll of herbs "Shallenne if you would mix these with water and when your ready this man can pull the dagger out and the herbs can be applied." she gasps as she tries to ignor the pain plumiting through her arm.

With a quick nod, Shallenne looks concernedly at her friend, taking the offered herbs and heading over to the bar. She swiftly locates a jug of water and mixes the herbs with a small amount. The Aes Sedai are just going to have to wait for now. A couple of moments later, long ones most likely to Meeko, she heads back with the readied salve.

Meeko looks to the hero "Please pull the dagger now." she grits her teeth and closes her eyes.

Keats nods quietly and waits for the herbs to be mixed. Once they are and he is given the command he quickly yanks the dagger from Meeko and puts it to one side. "Anything else I can do?" he asks simply.

Crouching down by Meeko, Shallenne winces as the dagger is pulled out, spreading the salve across the wound. She looks to Meeko, hoping that she's doing this right, seeing as she never did learn how to use herbs and treat wounds.

Meeko moans as the dagger is removed. She does open her eyes as Shallenne applies the herbs "in my pouch is some bandages just wrap the arm please." she turns to Keats "yes i would like your name and to hire you as my private guard." she is trying to control the burning in her arm. "then you can let me try and heal that hand of yours."

Shallenne reaches for the pouch, rummaging about and in short order pulling out a suitable bandage. She carefully begins to wind it about Meeko's arm, firmly, but not tight. She does her best to ensure that she causes her friend no more pain than she's already suffered.

Keats grins and does the best bow he can lying on the floor propped up by his unhurt arm. "Keats Hyprin at your service and I would be honored to be in your employ." A wink and a wince. "As for my hand, you are more than welcome to heal it if I might have your name in exchange."

Meeko's eyes lock momentarily on the heros "I am Meeko the Ambassador of Tar Valon and this is Ambassador Shallenne. You have done a great service Keats." she pulls her eyes away and looks to Shallenne "Thank you so much, I should be fine if only the pain will leave." she groans as she takes Keats hand "I hope you don't mind a Wilder healing you, it is a talent I have and does save time." she moans a bit again "shame I cannot use it on myself."

Keats nods and has a strange glint in his eye as Meeko and Shallenne are introduced. "I take any help I can get, and yes, it is a shame you can't heal yourself like you do others." He shifts so that he can be a little more comfortable while he is being healed.

"I'll go fetch the guard," Shallenne murmers to the pair, giving the man a polite nod and smile as she's introduced to him. "And then an Aes Sedai," she adds as she stands up, deliberately avoiding looking at that downed body. "They shouldn't be long in arriving." Not when she tells them what's happened, surely they'll be quick on the scene. She turns and makes her way over to the door.

Meeko turns back to Keats in time to see the look, something she will question him on later. Taking Keats hand she invisions it healed and allows the Power to flow through her and heal the hand. "Shallenne, I will have Keats escort me to the Tower I guess, but the wound is not bad." she grimices again unable to hide the pain it is giving her "Thank you again for all your help we shall have to have tea again under more peaceful circumstances."

Keats shivers slightly as he feels the healing weave flow through him. Once done he flexes his hand in surprise and smiles. "I thank you, Ambassador Meeko." Looking around at the devastation left behind by mez'tolth and his lackey he comments, "Do you think the guard would mind if we went to the Tower so you can be healed?"

Meeko smiles "I don't think so." she shivers at the thought of yet again another stint at the Tower infirmary "Mez is a wanted man and I am sure you will be rewarded for saving me and killing his accomplice." she tries to stand and sways. Between the channeling and the wound Meeko is a bit weaker than she is letting on.

Keats reaches out to steady Meeko and nods. "Tis alright. I was more interested in saving my life than any reward. Here, let's get you to the Tower before you faint." With an arm around Meeko he guides her towards the door and away from the mess left behind.
