Barracks: Guard Office, Tar Valon

Stark white walls greet your eyes, showing you a utilitarian office. A small corkboard lines the far wall, with it posted several notes and agendas used. Desks of all sorts and sizes, doubled with various chairs, appear to line the room, the area used for processing those which need to be held for one reason or another.

Outside you can hear the cheerful echos of various birds, greeting the season of rebirth. Soft rays of light filter in through the windows, showing morning has arrived. The office starts to become busy, though not too terribly so.

A small door leads to the guards quarters, while a group of stairs lead toward the cells. A large door heads out into the street. Obvious exits:

Alesse is sitting behind her desk in the office, currently the only guard in the office itself.

Alesse is going over a map of the city with small troop placement counters, organizing the placements.

Stepping in from the outside comes the guard of the High Ambassador, Keats. As usual, his staff is in his hand and makes a nice thunk as it hits the ground. Standing inside the office now, the man looks towards the only guard on duty. He nods politely in way of greeting and waits to be recognized.

Alesse looks up at the thunk, and studies the man briefly, then rises from the chair, straightening her coat.

"Can I help you, good sir?" She asks, not seeming to be familiar with his identity, or perhaps not mentioning it for another reason.

Keats raises his brow only slightly on noticing the gender of the guard but other than that he seems to ignore the strangeness. "I am Keats Hyprin, and I merely wished to look in on the prisoner Kirill. My employer is very upset and wants to make sure he doesn't make an escape to wreck more harm."

Alesse nods slightly, 'Yes, the bodyguard of the ambassador, correct?' She smiles faintly and sits on a corner of the desk, relaxing a little, 'I do not mind escorting you below, to see the prisoner, but we are not allowing anyone to see him alone. For your safety of course. He was after all trained by the Gaidin, and.. yes, I must congratulate your skills in bringing the man down. Not an easy feat. Perhaps you might find time to spar with me one day. I'm always looking for a challenge.'

Alesse nods briefly, 'Our guard has been doubled on the man, so that no fewer than 4 of our guards are inbetween him and the freedom of the cells, then of course all of us up here.'

Keats smiles in an almost convincing manner. "Perhaps." is all he says about the spar. "And I do not mind the company in seeing the man. In fact, I would have to insist." Upon hearing the measures taken against the man he nods. "That is good. I would hate for anything to happen to him before the trial. That would only hurt my mistresses case. And he is dangerous." Tilting his head slightly as he looks at Alesse he goes on to comment, "I am almost surprised to have taken him down, what with his training. But then, the man is mad."

Alesse nods slightly, 'It certainly does seem so. Perhaps you could help me out in answering a question though. The man will not tell us why he attacked the ambassador. Do you perhaps know?'

Keats shakes his head. "That I do not know. At first he just kept threatening the Ambassador, and when questioned as to why he would wish to do such things to her, he only said something about all those he cared about dieing or having to die. It was very confusing and it almost seemed like he did not know himself. That is why I believe the man mad. When I moved towards him in hopes of detaining him, that was when he attacked. And though he didn't get through my defense, which may have been some luck coupled with my skill, it was obvious he was trying to get to Meeko and start early on the threats he had been going on about."

Alesse nods, 'Let us go and see the man.' She indicates the direction, 'After you.'

Keats nods and smiles again, though it's a stretch to say it is truly meant. "Why thank you."

You walk down the stairs.

Dungeon: Guard Office, Tar Valon

What you see before you is a basic, functional dungeon. Several rows of cells appear down a long corridor, each with a cot, a set of bedclothes, a waterbasin and it's own set of bars. The room is chilly and dank, no matter the time of the year, and does not seem to have any light other than that created by the lanterns upon the wall. There is a pair of steps leading back into the guard offices.

Alesse walks down the stairs.

Keats comes down the stairs with his staff keeping time with his progress. Upon getting where he can see Kirill, the man stops and just stares at the man. Or mayhap glare is a better word.

Alesse follows Keats down the stairs, unbuttoning her coat on the way down. She nods to the guards at the top of the stairs, and the two at the bottom.

Kirill is once again laying on the cot in the cell. He turns his eyes to see who it is that is coming for a visit and gives a snort when he spots that it is Meeko's pet. "Come to kill me now?"

Alesse calls out, 'No one is going to kill you, Kirill, definately not whilst i'm here.' She follows Keats down the stairs and into the room.

Keats smiles falsely. "Is that what you're saying now? Long way from saying you'll be stringing my entrails like clotheslines along with Meeko's. And a nice way to frame her if you wish to kill yourself before the trial." A derogatory snort is directed Kirill's way. "As much as I'd love to kill you for the trouble you're putting Meeko through, I'll let the courts handle that. I simply came to see that you're here, rotting in jail til that time comes. Other than that, I have no interest in you whatsoever."

Alesse leans against the wall, slipping her hand inside her coat, lightly massaging her right shoulder, letting the two talk.

Kirill sits up and then makes several hand gestures wavign his hands before his face. "Poof! You expected me to just up and walk through these bars, out past the guards upstairs, and then actually get out of the city? Your dumber than I gave you credit for."

Keats hmphs. "Stranger things have been known to happen. Especially when madmen are involved." A wry grin this time as he goes on, "Plus it is always nice to see one like you behind bars where you belong. Enjoy your stay." And with that Keats turns and heads towards the stairs, nodding to Alesse and the other guards as he goes.

It seems that kirill is shaking his head alot these days. People just dont get it. He sighs and lays back down on the cot. "You tell your ward that I will be dead within the week."

Alesse leans against the wall still, not moving when the ambassador's guard goes upstairs.
