Trainee's Mistake

Common Room: Flaming Arrow Inn, Tar Valon

Occupants: Tally, Raemira

Tally's eyes widen as he sees the Amyrlin and he shrinks back a little timidly.

Lisendra stands from her seat as if waking from a long daydream and curties respectfully to Raemira while saying, "I hope the day is treating you well, Mother."

Tally watches Raemira quietly.

Lisendra looks at all the other patrons with mild interest but is focusing mainly on Raemira.

Raemira inclines her head to Lisendra, her eyes passing about the room a moment,"Yes... it is." She lifts abrow up at Tally and his uneasy stance.

Lisendra smiles and said, "If a may, Mother, I would like to ask for premission to leave."

Raemira blinks slightly at Lisendra, "The inn is not mine child, you can come and go as you please,if you have a desire to, and if you are not working for the innkeeper.

Lisendra smiles and says, "My mother used to say that you should treat all with the respect that I treat her. You are the equvalent of my mother in my eyes and I would always ask her leave to depart."

Lisendra frown suddenly as if sad.

Raemira speaks softly, "And actually I was just on my way out" She raises a brow slightly at the words and sighs just slightly, "Of course, well... you can leave, if you wish."

Lisendra curtsies angain, "Thank you, Mother."

Tally stands leaves the Back Corner Booth.

Lisendra opens the door to the stable yard and heads outside.

Tally stands around trying to look casual.

[Scene Change: The Amyrlin heads back to the Tower....

Alindrelle Square: Tar Valon, Tar Valon

Occupants: Lisendra, Rock, Raemira]

Lisendra curtsies deeply.

Raemira passes along the street, heading toward the Tower gates.

Tally pushes his way through the throng of people and enters Alindrelle Square from the southeast.

[Scence changes to Courtyard: White Tower, Tar Valon

Occupants: Semarra, Gaelan, Raemira]

Tally enters the Tower Courtyard through the Alindrelle Gates.

Gaelan is standing close to Semarra, who is speaking to him rather..familiarly, but apparently, such is her way.

Semarra shakes her head, "No, of course not, why it makes me worn out just thinking about it...all that hard, sweaty work. As a matter of fact I am going over there." and she points to one of the benches underneath a blosseming tree, its flowers already heavy on the vine. "I do so want to continue our conversation...but you wouldn't keep me standing like this would you?" she looks up at Gaelin with very large, very green eyes. Her back is to the approaching pair.

Tally follows Raemira at a slight distance, keeping an eye on her.

Raemira enters the courtyard quietly, her eyes scanning the area. She quirks a brow at Semarra, her eyes showing a bit of interest. She crosses her arms and just watches, not announcing her presence.

Gaelan shakes his head, "No, Aes Sedai. As you wish, then.". He motions towards said area, allowing her steps to preceed his own.

Tally sighs a little in relief as Raemira wanders back through the courtyard and heads towards the trainee's area.

Semarra smiles, just like the cat who ate the mouse...its almost that preditorial. she turns and sashays over to the bench seat, her hips rolling with a slight, ever so slight, pronounciation. as she turns once more to take a seat, she notices the Amyrlin, was that a brief flash of dissapointment that crossed her features? you'll never know for sure because it is quickly covered with one of respect, due to the watcher, "Good morn Mother." she greets the Amyrlin with an inclination of the head.

Tally passes through the entrance of a large wall, leading to the Practice Yard.

Gaelan follows her over, but as her greeting passes by him, his gaze seems to follow the words. His stands straighter, perhaps more rigidly. Under the visage of someone who commands even an Aes Sedai's respect, perhaps it is best to follow suit.

Raemira inclines her head slightly to Semarra, no hint of emotion passing over her face, "Good morning, daughter. And how are you?" Her eyes trail after Tally, a slight smile passing over her face for a moment.

Semarra smiles pleasantly at the woman, "I find the morning air vibrant and refreshing and hope you do the same. Have you met..." she trails off letting Gaelin introduce himself.

Gaelan clears his throat, speaking to the distant woman, then the closer, "Gaelan, Aes Sedai."

Semarra smiles brightly up at the man beside her, "Yes, Gaelan, Mother..he trains under the watchful eye of the Gaidin Master."

Gaelan nods a bit, but is otherwise quiet.

Raemira shakes her head just slightly,"No I have not." She inclines her head just so to Gaalen, giving him a cool, studious look, perhaps storing his features in the back of her mind for later use or reference. A soft breeze stirs up in the early spring air and gently sends her hair flying then allows it to fall softly on her shoulders, "A pleasure to meet you, Gaelan. I am Raemira. Amyrlin Seat, Watcter of the Seals. What brings you to the White Tower...?" Keep in mind that even the Amyrlin needs time to settle after being so newly raised.

Gaelan bows somewhat, "It is an honor to have met both of you. I have travelled, for some time, before coming to Tar Valon. I have always heard such things of the Aes Sedai, and those who travel with them, that I wanted to come to know of such things for myself. Thus, I arrived here, full of questions, and the Captain's leuitenant was kind enough to indulge my curiosity to an extent. Finally, when he could bear no more... he asked me, rather directly, to either assemble with the trainees, or begone. My choice, Aes Sedai, should be apparent."

Raemira ahs slightly watching Gaelen a bit more thoughtfully, "I see..." She casts a glance over at Semarra and says carefully, "And your duties include getting to 'know' the Aes Sedai better, I suppose....?" Her attention is fully on Semmara as she speaks, perhaps knowing the Domani's everlasting quench of men.

Semarra chuckles softly as she watches the two, alright she spends more time watching Gaelen, hearing her name she turns to the Amyrlin...yep been paying attention the /whole/ time. At the Amyrlin's words she smiles pleasantly.

Gaelan clears his throat a bit. This is clearly an uncomfortable situation, but he's not about to set one Aes Sedai against another. He's liable to get turned into a newt for it.

Gaelan says, quietly, "Nay, Aes Sedai."

Semarra chuckles softly, irrepressible, "Mother, Gaelen here has just come from a grueling practice. I was walking along and we struck up the most interesting conversation."

You'll notice that the Amyrlin keeps her face carefully schooled as Gaelen speaks. She even frowns slightly, perhaps at the use of the wrong title of her position, "And I suppose you have yet to learn the heirarchy of the tower, trainee...?" Well, if Gaelen's status was completed to that of fully trained, she too downgrades Gaelen's own titles, just to put him on even ground with herself.

Raemira glances slightly over to Semarra as she speaks, a brow quirking slightly, "Oh...?" She offers a cryptic, yet pleasant smile, "Then you wont mind letting me in on the topic of conversation."

Gaelan says, finally... "Aye, Aes Sedai. We learn little of the ways of the tower. The Captain tells us frequently that, if we perform out duties successfully, there will be others left to worry about such things."

Semarra shakes her head slightly as she turns to Gaelen, "Gaelen, the proper title is Amyrlin...not Aes Sedai." Her look is one of talerance, but her tone is firm.

Gaelan quickly adds, as he doesn't nearly like the sound of that statement, "That is to say... ours is not to involve ourselves in such things."

Semarra chuckles commenting, "Outdone by the Master Gaidin himself."

Gaelan frowns slightly, and shakes his head a bit. Oh wonderful, the big cheese is here, and he blew it, but good. "Your pardon, Amyrlin... I..". The words trail off, as the shovel starts digging.

Raemira lifts a brow a bit more then frowns, "Then I will have to speak to your captain, if you are of the guards... I think I am growing confused however either way you /are/ to know the heirarchy since I in turn can call on the Tower guard for my needs if necessary."

Gaelan nods, quietly, as he's said quite enough. Much as he'd love to explain, the fewer words said, the better.

Sometimes silence is not the best thing when an Aes Sedai wants an answer, that only gets you into more trouble, however Raemira merely smiles, seemly pleasantly, "I think I have taken you from your duties long enough, Gaelen. Perhaps you should go and get some rest since your practice has been so greuling." If ever you heard a dismissal, you know that this is one right now. She turns her gaze over at Semarra, studying her for a moment.

Semarra controls the smile that fights to spark upon her lips, but her emerald eyes continue to dance in amusement....never directed towards the amyrlin, no, she is amused with the poor trainee trapped under the amyrlin's gaze. At the Amryrlin's look she smiles pleasantly...why not, the day is long...she might run into this one again, later.

Gaelan nods, "As you command, Amyrlin.". Yes, that did quite end the conversation, and to the barracks he retires.

Gaelan turns and walks -- directly -- to the Barracks. Do not pass go. Be lucky you can walk. Do not collect $200. What the HELL were you thinking, Gaelan?

Semarra gives Gaelen a parting smile, one that hints of futture meetings.

Gaelan enters the barracks, rather... displeased with his own lack of mental fortitude in such a... textbook situation.

Gaelan pulls open the door to the Barracks and leaves the Courtyard.

Semarra gives a little shake of her head as the trainee dissappears turning back to the amyrlin, pleasant smile still in place.

Gaelan enters the Courtyard from the Barracks.

Gaelan passes through the entrance of a large wall, leading to the Practice Yard.

Raemira continues to study Semarra for a few moments longer, then speaks softly, "And I suppose the conversation that you both were about to have was on his various sword forms Semarra?"

Semarra nods, "Amoung other things. Perhaps I should add the hierarchy of the tower to the list.."

Tally enters the Courtyard through an opening in the large wall surrounding the Practice Yard.

Tally passes through the Alindrelle Gates under the watcheful eyes of the Tower Guards.

Semarra continues to stand before the Amyrlin, unruffled by the implications in her tone.

Gaelan is reciting the entire list now... As in, "The Amyrlin leads with her wisdom and knowledge, known as Amyrlin. The Accepted follow her, and are known as "Aes Sedai". The Novices are in training, quietly and without hesitation, known as....?"

Raemira watches Semarra for another moment, then heads to the Tower without anotherword.
