Scene: White Tower Courtyard.
Involved are Marein, Arwen and Trelaine, plus a bad Guy (TM) emitted by Trelaine. Micana puppets the Yellow sister.
Marein is sitting quietly on the bench, looking a bit tired. Her hands are all wrinkles from scrubbing floors.
Arwen is just coming out of the barracks; stretching, he inclines his head at Marein, offering a smile. "Hullo there."
Marein turns quickly at the sound, nearly jumping off the bench. She stands and gives a somewhat uncertain curtsey. (Not a good one either) "Light shine on you, Gaidin."
Blink. "Gaidin? /Me/?" He peers at Marein, "Not the last time I checked. I'm called Arwen, a student here."
Marein blushes slightly, her eyes turning down to look at the ground. "I'm sorry. I haven't met any Gaidin yet. I wanted to make sure I didn't offend." Marein seems to have gotten in trouble for not keeping protocol earlier.
Arwen looks sympathetic. "I understand. It's all right. But just call me 'Arwen', and it'll be fine. What's your name?"
"Marein. Marein Delentha." Marein's voice is low and shy, nearly a whisper.
"Well met." As Arwen speaks, he stretches, glancing 'round. "Who've you met, so far?"
Trelaine has arrived.
Glancing up, Arwen smiles, "Hello, Trel!" He waves a hand.
Trelaine grins broadly as she walks out of the Tower. Blue eyes gaze about the courtyard and grin grows into a large smile for two reasons: there are no Aes Sedai about, and Arwen's there. But she, of course, does not voice those reasons. Nearly hopping, in a graceful manner, Trelaine makes her way down the steps, and nods to Marein, giving the Novice a smile.
Marein shrugs slightly. She doesn't seem to speak many As she sees Trelaine, she turns slightly to curtsey, again as wobbly as before. "Greetings, Accepted Trelaine."
Trelaine gives Arwen a brilliant smile, then does her duty and turns to Marein. "And peace favor you, Marein. How are you adjusting?"
Marein shrugs a bit uncomfortably, with a glance towards the gates. "Allright, I guess. I just feel a bit cooped up in here. And there's a lot of chores to do. More than once at times, too." Well, the halls have had the bad tendency to un-clean themselves right after being cleaned these days.
Trelaine flicks her gaze to Arwen and a decidedly devious grin appears on her face by the time Trelaine turns back to Marein. "Care for a walk. To... the Ogier Grove, for instance?"
Quirking a brow, Arwen listens, leaning against an available tree.
A smile lights up in Marein's face as she almost jumps up and down with glee. "Oh, you would do that? Accepted Chiara took me the other day. I loved every moment of it!"
Trelaine's face darkens for a brief moment at the mention of Chiara, then her smile is as bright and devious as ever. "Well then, I think we -will- have to visit the grove." Trelaine then turns for the gate and pauses. "I -think- it's safe for two woman to travel alone in the streets this time of day..." Was that a hint that was dropped?
Who knows? Arwen simply nods at Trelaine, and shrugs, "Don't know...one might want to have an escort along behind."
Marein casts a glance at Arwen, then back at Trelaine, an understanding grin finally lighting up in her face. Trelaine turns around casually, as if she hadn't a care in the world. "Well, perhaps an escort -is- in order." Blue eyes dance happily has they fall on Arwen. "Are you up to the task, Trainee Arwen?"
Arwen inclines his head. "Sure-- if you wish." He trails off, and motions with a hand. "After you, Accepted."
Marein giggles, and turns to follow Trelaine.
Trelaine nods her head gracefully, and thankfully towards Arwen, then looks at the gates, musing. "Now, which one was it... Oh well!"
Trelaine passes through the Alindrelle Gates under the watchful eyes of the Tower Guards.
Trelaine has left.
Arwen has arrived.
Scene: Alindrelle Square
Trelaine grins and winks. "Oh, oops. Looks like this was the wrong way." Trelaine is hardly complaining by the sparkle in her blue gaze. "But then, the longer the walk, the better, no?"
Marein giggles again, and follows on in a light gait. "The longer the better, I think."
Arwen chuckles softly. "All right-- shall we, then?"
Of course! Marein has enough to restrain herself not to run in front of you.
Arwen chuckles dryly. A"ll right...off we go."
Arwen has left.
Trelaine sighs and follows, motioning Marein forward.
Trelaine smirks at Arwen as she follows closely behind. "Surely we could have skirted around the Tower..."
Trelaine saunters, basically, in a slow, deliberate manner down the street. She's delighting in being outside of the Tower, and hardly as observant as she normally is.
Marein doesn't seem any less, almost stretching herself as she finally has a little distance from all those pots.
Scene change to: The Ogier Grove
As you enter the grove, you suddenly feel a lot more content. Safe. Birds are singing in nearby trees and bushes, and everything else is a calm, soothing silence.
Trelaine inhales deeply and pauses at the entrance to look around with a broad smile. This is the place, as someone said once.
Shadowy in the background, a dark form follows a distance behind the three, his shadow sliding along the trees, darkening the peace, if he were to be seen.
Marein sighs happily, half-running over to a huge tree, pressing her back and arms to it. "It feels... so full of life. Almost like you can feel the sap pumping through it when you touch it. I wish I could meet an Ogier some time."
Arwen chuckles, "Me too-- maybe someday you will, who knows?" Arwen shrugs, and glances around, not noticing shadow. As he speaks, he stretches, "Don't you just love the trees?"
Marein nods, and with nimble dexterity grabs a hold of the lowest branch and swings herself up to sit on it, after making certain it would hold her weight without damaging the tree. "Yes, I do."
Trelaine takes a few more steps into the grove, and grins. "Anyplace where I don't have to contend with certain other Accepteds, is a wonderful place. And yes, I love trees."
Closer, he creeps. Whoever he is. And closer still, not making a sound in the dim lighting of the grove. Eyes light upon Trelaine, taking in features, and ring upon finger. He pauses, then creeps closer, still behind a tree or two.
Leaning her body forward, Marein stretches out full on the branch. "Certain Accepteds, Accepted Trelaine?" She smiles, nonetheless. Nothing can bring her down now. Time away from all those Aes Sedai, curtseying.. And pots. Light-forsaken pots.
Trelaine pauses for a moment, a thoughtful expression on her features, then she shrugs. Just her imagination. It must be. "Not everyone gets along with everyone else, Marein. And I'm known for my ... Borderland thinking, and my Borderland temper."
Marein 's eyes widen. "You come from the Borderlands? Near the Blight? How is it up there? Have you seen any Trollocs?" The questions come in a quick torrent. Marein, of course, is obvious to anything except those who she can plainly see...
Trelaine grins at Marein. "Yes, Shienar, outside of Fal Dara. That is very near the Blight. It's cold during the winter, and pleasent during the summer. No, I've seen no Trollocs, thank the Light! Though, my brothers have, and from what they've told me, I'd rather not see one."
If possible, Marein's eyes widen even more. Trollocs? And she was convinced they were just stories told to frighten children. Including her. "Is it true they have goat's heads and eat eachother?"
Trelaine shakes her head at Marein. "Yea andd nae. Some have goats heads, others ravens, some bears. And they usually prefer... well... human food, if my brothers can be believed."
Marein makes a face. "Humans too?! Eeeeewwww!"
Creak-- crack! Right when the man slips behind Trel, his hand flashes out, a glint of something metallic in the hand. Right towards the back of Trelaine's skull.
Marein 's eyes grow as wide as saucers as she finally sees the man coming out of the bushes. She screams loudly, almost falling off the branch.
Trelaine starts to turn at the sound, the glow of Saidar surround her and then ... thunk! Trelaine wasn't fast enough as the blow lands true and the accepted slumps to the ground, unconscious.
Merp. Is it -- yes, Arwen to the rescue. He dives forward, drawing a knife as he leaps over Trelaine's body, taking a long gash along his side from the knife of the man, whoever he is, wincing. Stumbling, he attacks, himself, and the man staggers backwards, both now hit.
No sound is heard other than a slight gurgling in Marein's throat as her mouth stands open in a scream that won't come anymore. Her face is a ghastly pale and her body rigidly clutches the branch as she hangs nearly sideways off it.
Trelaine lays crumpled on the ground in an odd position. Oy! That's got to be uncomfortable. Good thing Trelaine's unconscious then, isn't it? Or... is it?
Or is it. Arwen's gaze falls upon Trelaine, and without a word, he attacks again-- another rather wicked knife slash to his side, this one much deeper, and he manages to get within the other man's guard, trading a wound for a kill-- right into the man's throat, ripping out the blade as blood spurts from the wound.
Marein seems to finally get enough control of herself to half fall, half drop herself from the branch. Running over to Trelaine, she cries out her name as she falls to her knees by her limp form.
Trelaine makes no move, nothing. Not even a twitch. She's out of it. Yup.
Marein 's hand gently finds her way under Trelaine's head as Marein carefully coaxes the limp form into her lap, stroaking her hair away from her face as tears roll from her eyes and down her cheeks, whispering quietly. "Trelaine, please wake up? Please."
Trelaine is being stubborn, not waking up.
And Arwen-- well, he's staggering backwards, to fall at Trel's side, and turn her over carefully, blood pouring from his two wounds. HE calls out to Marien, "Get over here! Now, looks like a head wound."
Marein has no other care for the world than herself and Trelaine as she closes her eyes, desperately seeking the despair that will allow her to channel. A bud. Opening to the light. No, there's no light. The shadow of her sister's death hovers between the light and Marein, blocking it away. "I won't let you die, Trelaine. Not you too." Silent murmurs as
Marein again clutches her eyes shut, grabbing helplessly for the light.
Marein screams in frustration, the Ogier Grove's calmness preventing her from feeling as desperate as she needs. The bud. And the shadow. Her sister. I couldn't help it. I couldn't do more than I did.
Marein's silently scream in her thoughts as she surrenders, the light driving the shadow away as it floods through her.
[Channeling] Marein opens herself to the source, a faint flicker first that suddenly blossoms into a full, white aura.
Trelaine neaither moves, nor moans. Not good.
[Channeling] Marein says, "Deft flows of spirit slide from Marein and into Trelaine, gently probing the wound."
Trelaine flicks, and shivers? This is good, isn't it?
Arwen looks over Trelaine, trying to keep himself calm; almost idly, he puts a hand over his side, where blood flows in a steady flow-- he'll be getting quite tired soon.
Marein 's face suddenly turns blank as she smiles beautificaly, her hands clasping Trelaine's forehead. Her eyes stare down into the Accepted's face.
[Channeling] Marein says, "Deft flows of spirit, water and air start weaving together in blinding speed, folding in on themselves and tieing together in a smooth band."
Trelaine shivers again, a bit violently. Maybe it wasn't so good.
Arwen gets a bit of backlash, and the blood slows, pooling and clotting. He ignores it though, watching Marein, then Trelaine, and bites his lip.
Marein frowns, her eyes closing again as she opens herself for more of the sweet life of Saida, weaving it into the flows of Spirit, Air and Water, ever increasing in complexity as they stream into Trelaine.
Marein 's lips stir in a slight moan as the sweetness of the power reaches the brink of pain. A half-second of determination as Marein snaps the connection to Saidar shut, and she herself falls in a limp heap on the ground as the last of Trelaine's wound fades away.
Trelaine shivers again, then gasps, opening her eyes wide! "By an Aiel's Veil, what happened!" she calls out as she tries to get up, only to get dizzy and fall back down.
Arwen is still bleeding, if sluggishly. He leans against the ground, taking a deep breath as he glances from Trelaine to Marein. Pausing, he releases that breath, "Come on-- I'll help you two walk, we need to get out of here."
[Channeling] Marein 's connection to the Source snaps shut almost violently as she determinedly shuts it off, the sweetness on the brink of pain.
Marein makes no move to that comment, but lies still. Sleep. Long, deserved sleep. She had no fault in it. She did what she could for her sister. Nothing less.
Trelaine widens her eyes, to make sure they are truely open, frowning. "Arwen!" she gasps as she spots blood. "By the Shadows a Fade walks between, Arwen! You're hurt! You're bleeding!" Trelaine scrambles over to the Trainee, frowning at Marein, pausing only to check for a pulse. Okay, she's alive. Trelaine's attention is back on Arwen. "Bloody Ashes, and I can't Heal!" Quickly, and deftly, Trelaine rips at the hem of her dress, making bandages, colorful ones, even! "Sit back, and get that shirt off. We're not going anywhere 'til that bleeding's stopped."
Arwen rolls his eyes. "Trelaine, get up and get the Novice, and we go back to the Tower. I will be fine." His voice is determined, as he struggles to his feet. "C'mon."
Trelaine frowns at Arwen and stubburnly raises an eyebrow at him. "I've ripped my dress to rags just for you, you'll be wearing them as dressings. You've no choice." Protective, ain't she.
Arwen chuckles, "I will- I will." He grabs the rags, and wraps them carefully into a bandage, wincing at pain. "Ah Light,t hat did hurt."
Trelaine holds up a dressing of sorts and looks at Arwen. "Do I have to lay on top of you to hold you down? It's more painful that way."
Arwen releases a breath, and nods at Trelaine, finishing putting it on himself. "Now-- let's get the girl and go, 'fore another shows up."
Trelaine frowns at Arwen. "Ruin all my fun, will you." But she does stand up, carefully, very carefully. That's good, the legs work. Then Trelaine leans over, trying to rouse Marein at first, then she just wraps one of Marein's arms around her neck, and hefts the girl up as best she can. "Can you get the other arm, Arwen?"
Arwen nods his head, "Aye-- I can." Just hope he doesn't drop her, half-way. He lifts the girl, swaying a bit, and sighs, "SHard it all, let's hope Gould Gaidin doesn't get mad at me."
Marein's arms are very cooperative. Most of her body is at the moment, as she makes no move to wake up.
Trelaine glances over at Arwen. "For what? Killing a man who attacked us? I'm the one who lagged behind and got us into this mess, if you recall." Trelaine moans. "There goes all my hopes of getting on Ashlynn Sedai's good side. I should have paid more attention..."
Arwen shakes his head. "Whoever he was, he was fairly good-- I usually notice that sort of thing..."
Trelaine grunts and does her best -not- to stumble while under Marein's weight; she fails from time to time. "No use grumbling about it now. Come on."
Scene change to White Tower courtyard
Trelaine comes stumbling in, half hefting Marein along with Arwen. Trelaine is shaking and her strength is obviously giving out.
Lynna is sitting on one of the benches, staring up on the overcast sky. She glances over, hearing some hubbub from the guards at the gate. When she gets a good look from a distance, she leaps to her feet, murmuring, "Dear Light..."
Lynna stands and rises from the Small Bench.
Marein is obediently following, hanging from the two like a sack. The limp form makes no move to help the two.
Arwen isn't much better, his side coated with blood, and he looks weak as well. He speaks to Lynna, voice commanding for once, "Get an Aes Sedai, and help!"
Lynna nods once, quickly, and without further word (or curtsey), runs into the Tower.
Trelaine kicks at the tattered end of her robe, the missing piece found on Arwen's side. She nods to Lynna. "A Yellow!" Too late. "A bench, quickly. I can't hold her..."
Balista Sedai comes scurrying out of the Tower. "What's this Lynna was saying abou... Light! What happened to you three?"
Arwen's lips twitch. "Well...first a hood attacked Trel, knocking her out. Then he knifed me while I fought him, and killed him. Then Marein Healed us both somehow..." He trails off, "Well...me mostly." Then, a bow-- Arwen's had a rough night.
Marein seems to have no intention to reply.
Trelaine plops onto a bench, shaking, then sinks off it as she tries to catch Marein who started to slip. Trelaine nods. "What Arwen said."
Balista Sedai the blue frowns, shaking her head. "I'll get a Yellow out here quickly." And with that she's inside the Tower, grumbling about no talent in Healing.
Flareen walks down the steps into the Courtyard, after pushing through the main doors of the Tower.
Lynna walks down the steps into the Courtyard, after pushing through the main doors of the Tower.
Flareen strides into the courtyard and glances around with a steady glance. Spotting the grouping she starts that direciong. "What happened?
Trelaine makes sure that Marein isn't slipping then stands to curtsey to Flareen, and finds she can't get back up. She is really shaking now, she's on the last of her reserves.
Arwen is sitting on a bench. His side is covered with blood, and he looks pale. "A hood attacked Trelaine, knocking her out. I fought him off, though he wounded me rather badly, and the Novice there healed us somehow-- well, mostly."
Lynna remembers herself enough to curtsey to Trelaine this time, and walks over with Flareen, in case she asks for her assistance. At Arwen's explanation, her eyebrows raise silently.
Trelaine shakes her head slightly. "Don't ask me, I was unconscious for most of it." Thunk. Trelaine's on the ground and there to stay.
Dana walks down the steps into the Courtyard, after pushing through the main doors of the Tower.
Lynna takes a few, deep breaths, calming herself as Flareen examines the injured. Given how apparently easily she does this, she's not new to seeing bad injuries.
Dana gasps.
Dana says softly, "What happenned?"
Dana walks over towards the incident.
Flareen finishes with Trelaine and gestures two Accepteds over. "Bed and rest, food for her. She will be alright. Just carry her up.
Arwen nods at Flareen, remembering to rise-- barely, and bow. He totters in place as he stands, making himself stand, mostly by force of will at this point.
The two nod and help lift and carry Trelaine inside. Flareen then turns to Arwen. Now for you.
Lynna moves over toward Arwen after he stands, and if he doesn't resist, helps to steady him on his feet.
Dana says softly, "Is there anything I can do to help, Aes Sedai? I assisted a wisdom for a few years before coming here..."
Arwen nods at Lynna, accepting the arm a moment to steady himself, then politely releasing that with a quiet "Thank you." He stands then, perfectly still, though more for the sake of practice.
Dana drops a quick curtsey, remembering the rules.
Lynna nods slightly, releasing Arwen's arm, though ready to stop him if he shows signs of teetering over.
A slight murmur escapes Marein's now dry and cracked lips. "Sister...."
At this point, Avendesora enters. Just had to have the OOC conversation abut that here.
OOC Marein says "Ok, avendesora just walked in. Do we faint now? :)"
OOC Avendesora grins. Ignore the tree. ;)
OOC Arwen peers. Hey you, lemme cut ya down. :)
OOC Marein grins. "Ah, drats. I'm already out cold. :)"
Flareen glances toward the novice out the tail of her eye. "Make a bed up in the infirmary, girl, and see to getting fresh blankets, a supply of food and of juice there. Arwen, we need to get you up there. You were apparently healed but inadequately and there is nothing more we can do. You will have to heal on your own.
Dana scurries off, bobbing a quick curtsey first.
Lynna winces slightly at Flareen's news, before turning to the Aes Sedai, silently awaiting to see if any instructions are forthcoming for herself.
Dana walks up the steps and goes through the main doors of the Tower.
Arwen nods slightly, "Figured as much." HE's listened in on enough lessons on Healing..." He trails off, and grins, wry. "They're safe, that's what matters..." And he sits-- can't stand anymore, sorry.
Lynna takes Arwen's arm gently and helps guide him down - not going to let him get away from it this time until he's sitting.
Flareen glances at Lynna. "Find (npc) help and get him up to the infirmary and in bed, if you please." She tightens her lips. "And help clean him up and get him settled in. As for you, ...what is your name...who did this?"
Lynna nods her head, and curtsies. "Yes, Aes Sedai." Once Arwen's sitting, she dips a quick curtsey to Flareen before rushing back into the Tower.
Lynna comes back with the help to get Arwen up to the infirmary - she herself doesn't go with the others she got to get him up there.
Arwen is led away, bowing rather staggeringly to Flavreen on the way.
Flareen says "Lynna, please get some to carry this one up also. She needs some rest...lucky she did not kill herself or her....patients" The word is a bit sarcastic "or burn herself out."
Lynna nods again, "Yes, Aes Sedai." Her only reaction is a slight flinch at the words 'burn out', before she again enters the Tower, returning with a couple others, this time accompanying Marein back inside.
Marein makes no complaints except a slight moan as she is carried into the Tower.
Scene changes to: The infirmary, White Tower.
Lynna makes sure Marein is safe in bed, before letting the people who're working to their business, slipping out silently.
Lynna opens the door and steps out into the hallway.
Quite a while later. (Very much later, in fact.)NOTE: This is also part of the Illuminator's plot.
Sionil enters the infirmary.
Lying in a bunk not far from the doors is Marein. She seems to be asleep, but is twisting in her sheets.
Sionil peeks into the infirmary and looks over to the bed
Marein mumbles in her sleep. "No... Alenda... The carriage... watch out... Trelaine....."
Sionil looks over to Marein, enters fully, and embraces the source
Marein 's face is a grimace of horror and pain. She twists, nearly falling out of the bunk. "Trelaine... watch out... i can't.... no..."
Sionil gulps out and quickly channels a health probe
Marein is unable to channel at the time, having channeled enough to be nearly burnt out
Sionil checks Marein's health, wincing slightly, before releasing the source again.
Marein 's eyes fly open as she sits up with a scream, looking bewildredly around herself. Then, she clutches her head with both hands, falling back down on the pillow with a moan.
Sionil is peering over the corps...oops, the awakened novice
Marein mumbles "Light! My head hurts." Almost not daring to, she opens her eyes, looking around once again. As she sees Sionil, she frowns. "Sionil, what am I doing here?"
Sionil shakes her head "I know not, little one. Do you remember what happened?"
Marein sighs, closing her eyes again. Her sister. No... That was long ago. The Ogier Grove! And the man, hitting Trelaine so hard.. She sits up again. "Trelaine! Where is she?!"
Sionil woahhs, "Relax, lie down. She's in her room, sleeping."
Marein sighs, lying back down. "Light, my head." Her face gets a blank expression. "I can't feel Saidar. I tried to heal her. Did i hurt her? Please, say I didn't hurt her. I didn't know what else to do."
Sionil shakes her head pulling the sheets back over the novice, "I know not, but you need rest."
Marein lies back again, allowing Sionil to tuck her in. "Light, I can't do /anything/ right. I'll end up hoeing cabbages until my hair grays."
Sionil snickers slightly "Better that you live till your hair grays then you leave this world young."
Marein nods, her eyes closing against the light again. "Sionil... Will I be able to channel again?" The voice of someone in fear of what she just gained is lost again.
Milli enters the infirmary.
Sionil slightly shrugs "Perhaps, but only if you do not attempt to reach it unless you are permitted."
Milli walks in, looking across the room as she makes her way over to the desk.
Marein nods, sinking deeper into her bed. "I won't, Accepted Sionil."
Sionil nods and says "Did anyone bring you some food?"
Milli looks over to Marein, turning to walk over to her instead. "Well, look who woke up. You, young lady, had better be a bit more careful."
Marein flinches slightly. "Yes, Milli. I'm sorry if I'm taking up your time." She shakes her head to Sionil. "No, not yet. What time is it?"
Sionil looks to Milli slightly then says, "It's after lunchtime."
Milli chuckles, smiling at Marein. "No, don't worry about that. Trelaine was awake earlier. She is fine, except from the exhaustion from being healed. Light-forsakingly stupidly done by you, Novice. But probably what saved her."
Sionil looking over to Milli asks, "What did she do, besides channeling?"
Milli quirks an eyebrow. "She healed Trelaine. They were at the Ogier grove, when some lout attacked them. Trelaine, Marein and one of the warder trainees I can't remember the name of. From what the trainee told me, Trelaine was in very bad shape. She wouldn't have lived much longer. Nata Sedai said you had channeled nearly enough to burn yourself out. You could have killed yourself, and Trelaine too, Marein. Consider yourself lucky you didn't." Has Milli been spending too much time with Reds? She doesn't usually yell at anyone.
Sionil nods slightly, still looking at Milli, and calmly states, the exact opposite tone of Milli, "I'm sure Marein is feeling the punishment upon her. And she did save Trelaine."
Milli looks almost surprised of herself. She shakes her head, sighing. "Light. Forgive me, Marein. All this is getting into me. Just rest, child. I'll see to that you're brought food." She pauses slightly. "Do you like tea?" Another glance to Sionil, as to inquire whether she would want some too.
Sionil gives a smile "I think tea would be lovely."
Marein nods, trying a smile. "Food would be nice. And tea too. Do you have lemongrass?"
Milli nods, walking swiftly to the back of the room to get cups and tea. "Lemongrass it is, Marein."
A novice is sent to fetch Marein some food, as Milli returns with three cups, smelling faintly of lemon. She places the cups on a small table by the bunk, and helps to prop Marein up in the bed before handing the cups out.
Marein accepts the cup with a smile. "Thank you, Milli."
Sionil takes a seat and pulls another one over for Milli, "Please", she sits in the other chair and takes a cup of the tea "Thank you, by the way"
Milli smiles, accepting the chair and sits down. "Marein, Nata Sedai said you should be able to channel again in a week. Maybe more, maybe less. Then you can begin to take lessons."
Nata enters the infirmary.
Nata steps into the infirmary and looks around for a long moment. "Good evening.
Sionil sits with Milli, by Marein's bed, she says to the pair, before standing and curtseying "Perhaps, That might be up to Atalanta Sedai though."
Nata walks over toward the bed, eyes moving from one to the other and one eyebrow quirking in question. "A problem?
Milli smiles and stands, curtseying. "Peace favor you today, Nata Sedai."
Sionil shakes her head "No, Nata Sedai. Marein was just resting after waking and asking about Trelaine."
Marein nods to Milli, then turns her head. She seems to consider standing up to curtsey. "Grace favor you, Nata Sedai. Pardon me for not standing."
Nata nods. "Yes. Seems I had a note from Flareen ('s owner) about an incident. Want to tell me what happened?
"I don't recall it all perfectly, Nata Sedai. Trelaine, me and Arwen were going to the Ogier Grove. A man attacked Trelaine and hit her head real bad. Arwen killed him, and got hurt too. I didn't know what else to do." Marein seems to try and hide in the bed, her old motto "Anonimity is survival" ringing in her head again.
Nata says "You didn't know what else to do?"
Sionil slightly nods, and sips upon her tea
Milli ums, standing to get a cup of tea to offer to Nata as well, preferring not to be there right now.
Marein flinches visibly. "I... healed her, Nata Sedai."
Nata crosses her arms one on the other and taps her finger on her upper arm, eyes narrowing. Her voice remains calm though insistant on details. "And just who taught you the appropriate healing weaves to do this?
Sionil takes another sip of her tea, quietly observing and waiting to hear the answer to this question.
"I haven't been taught the weaves. I just.. did them. Like I did with my sister." Marein seems to be half ready to run screaming out now.
Milli returns, offering a cup of Lemongrass tea to Nata.
Milli pulls another chair over to Nata Sedai, sittting down on her own.
Sionil gives a simple glance to Marein that fleeing would be very bad now.
Nata nods her thanks to Milli then sits down. "You just /did/ them." The voice tone is flat. "If you /ever/ do such a thing again, you will find yourself scrubbing every chamberpot in the tower with a nail brush till the day you grow so old your hair turns gray and your fingers are to gnarled to hold the brush. You do not use such weaves without proper training because they can do as much damage as good if improperly wielded." The tone nonetheless, tears begin to form in Marein's eyes. "Yes, Nata Sedai. "
Milli sips her tea, casting a very quick glance of sympathy at Marein, then returns to calmy look at Nata Sedai.
Nata hands a handkerchief to Marein and continues. "A simple calm or sleep weave if improperly woven can cause someone to never waken or to be afflicted with a tic or a permanent case of hiccups or muscle spasms."
Sionil stands up nodding slightly, she places the almost empty tea cup upon the tray and lifts the chair to move it out of the way, as if to say that leaving now is the best bet for Marein's well being to Milli.
Nata says "A improperly healed broken bone may /never/ heal. Blending in the wrong powers " She gestures to the others to stay as this may serve as a lesson to them also. "It is not something used frivilously nor without careful training."
Marein quickly dries the tears away, drawing a deep breath again says "Yes, Nata Sedai."
Sionil returning after putting the chair away, "Of course, Nata Sedai, I don't plan on it since I have no talent in the subject."
Nata says "I realize you did not know this when you did it, but now you do. You seem to have some gift with healing, and I would like to train you when the time comes that you have enough control to do this."
A yellow? Perhaps that is what Marein will be. She just nods, again adding a "Yes, Nata Sedai."
Milli listens quietly. She has read most of this in books already, but learning from a true master never hurts.
Nata says "What powers have you had already?"
Marein silently replies "Source, Nata Sedai. I'm a wilder. I haven't had any other classes."
Nata nods. "I see. Until you have progressed, You are not to do a healing weave. You must be able to call up each power at will and control it to do the weaves safely. Understood?
Marein nods. "Yes, Nata Sedai. I will report to you when I have completed those lessons."
Nata says "Since you have a healing talent, however, I will ask that as you take each topic, you think of a way that power...all by itself...can be used in healing, and to report to me what you thought of wien your class is over."
Marein says "Yes, Nata Sedai."
Nata says "congratulations on discovering a healing talent, but I emphasize again, you will have to be careful to not use it without training."
Marein nods, seeming to finally notice the cup of tea she's been holding in her hands. "I will be careful, Nata Sedai, and do as you say."
Sionil gives a slight smile
Nata says "Sionil, How are your studies progressing?"
Nata nods. "And have you thought of a better way to handle her arm until you could get help for her?
Sionil looks to Nata, "By my understanding, Atalanta Sedai's arm had been in that condition for several days, and I am not one to tell the Mistress of Novices how to handle a wound."
Nata nods as Trelaine enters. She is sitting on a chair beside one of the beds and talking with the others.
Trelaine walks in, blue eyes instantly skimming each cot, each bed, each corner. Oh, she's not looking for swatches of color, Trelaine is looking for dresses of white! That is how she misses Nata and Flareen at first. Trelaine doubletakes at Sionil. The Mistress of Novices was injured? Trelaine makes a mental note to visit Atalanta Sedai more often. She'd rather be punished speaking her mind, then seeing anything unfortunant happening. Trelaine shakes her head with a sigh, returning to scan the room for Marein. That is when she sees the others , having heard Sionil speaking, and quickly curtsies before rushing over like a worried mother hen. "Nata Sedai, Flareen Sedai," she greets hastily, then she turns to Marein, "Are you well? You are better?"
As Trelaine enters again, Marein nearly breaks out crying again. "Trelaine! Light, it is good to see you. Are you allright?"
Nata listens to Sionil clarify what happened to Atalanta's arm. "I was under a different impression. Yes she waited to long for any to be able to heal her. All we could do is use splints to hold it immobile to heal."
Sionil nods once "Even more proof of my lack of talent. That's one more I can cross off my list."
Trelaine smirks at Marein, seemingly ignoring the conversation, but those who know the blue eyed Accepted know she's heard every word that is not directed in her direction. "Look at you, Marein, in bed and inquiring about me. Yes, I'm fine. Just fine. You channeled, by the Light!" Trelaine smiles, but even so she fidgets, pulling the blackent up as far as she can on Marein's body. Mustn't catch a chill, you know.
Nata darts a glance toward Trelaine and smiles faintly. "I just had to scold her. You could have been hurt by an improper weave."
Marein smiles weakly, a quick glance in Nata Sedai's direction quickly wiping that from her face. "I think I broke my block. I just gave up, and it came. I'm so glad I didn't hurt you, but I didn't know what else to do." Nata's hankerchief once again is used to remove tears forming in her eyes. From joy this time.
Trelaine blinks and turns to Nata, nodding. She'd forgotten that the Aes Sedai was there, in a way. She bows her head to Nata, "She seems to have talent, since I am uninjured." Then she turns back to Marein, wagging a finger at her. "You could have been hurt, young lady. And I'll not have that on my conscious. It is imperitive that you remember you are not to channel without an Aes Sedai or Accepted guiding you." Then Trelaine's expression softens and she reaches out, giving Marein a large hug, for one so small. "Thank you. I'm glad you are well and unhurt."
Unusually enough, Marein actually returns the hug, clutching Trelaine to her hard enough to nearly creak her ribs. "I'm ok. They say i'll be able to channel again soon. Then I can start learning. Nata said she would teach me."
Nata says "when it is time. Others will help you with basic classes adn I will help build the knowledge that pertains to our ajah."
Milli chuckles, looking at Marein and Trelaine. She gives a glance towards Nata. "Well, perhaps we shall see another within the folds of the Yellow Ajah, then. If your talent is healing. And I have no doubt in Nata's judgement."
Trelaine's blue eyes dance delightfully, sparking at some odd knowledge and another odd idea known only to her, it seems. "Yes, yes. You appear strong in Healing, if that is your calling, Nata Sedai is the best teacher you can have. Now, if you want to learn to be tactless and blunt... That's my job."
Nata leans forward and whispers. "Or Flareen's"
Marein smiles, finally letting go of Trelaine. Looking to Nata and Milli, she asks "When do you think I can get out of here?"
Milli chuckles. "Eager to get back out? Well, I'm certain the bedpans could use scrubbing or something." She winks mischiveously at Marein.
Trelaine motions over to Nata. "That is her decision, not mine."
Nata says "any time now as long as you do not channel. You are physically uninjured and the fatigue from overdoing the channeling will pass with time. You may resume limited book study, nothing active, and sedentary chores for short periods of time."
You say "Yes, Nata Sedai. Thank you."
Milli chuckles, shaking her head as she drinks the last of her tea.
Trelaine smiles at Marein, and grins broadly. "Good. We can find you a tutor in the Old Tongue. I think that would make for good lessons."
Marein smiles at Trelaine. "I'd like that."
Sionil looks to Trelaine, "Perhaps we should let her catch up first."
Trelaine grins at Sionil. "Oh, come on. She'll have plenty of time on restrictive learning. Besides," Trelaine motions over towards Arwen's bed, "I need to speak with my tutor. I've some thanking to do."
Arwen is in a bed in the corner, listening idly as he rests on a pillow. Quirking a brow at Trelaine, he looks amused, "Speak to me?"
Marein smiles to Arwen. "You're allright, Arwen?"
Trelaine smiles at Marein and stands up from where she had nearly smoothered the girl and walks over to Arwen's side. "Yes, speak to you. You saved my life, I hear."
Arwen shrugs, and chuckles, then smiles at Marein, "Fine, fine-- stiff and sore, but other than that, well-- thanks to /you/, I do hear..." He trails off, then chuckles at Trel. "And as for you-- well, that's what I'm here for, aye?"
Trelaine glances around, eyes flicking to people in the room, then she shifts so her back is to everyone else and gives Arwen a soft smile. "Yes, I suppose hat is what you trainees are here for." Then she tries to peek at Arwen's wounds, are where they were. "Anything that wasn't able to be Healed?" She has to know these things, you know.
Arwen shrugs, "Well-- Mareine did most of it, you can't Heal what was already Healed, so. Have a nasty scab over my side where he got me 'tween my ribs...the other was shallow, she healed it really well."
Marein pretends not to hear this, but blushes slightly anyways.
Sionil wanders out
Trelaine nods to Arwen, actually reaching out, patting his hand. "Well, I thank you, Arwen, for saving me, and putting yourself in harms way."
Nodding, Arwen smiles, then shrugs, wondering towards Marein, "And you-- are you feeling all right?"
Trelaine smiles at Arwen, then shifts so that she faces Marein, grinning broadly.
Trelaine asks suddenly, after all, abrupt is her middle name... in a sense, "Marein, you do want to learn more about Healing, don't you?"
Milli gets up from her chair by Marein's bed, replacing it. "Marein, you get some rest and food. You'll be up and about in no time. Now, I have some... errands to run." Better not dissappoint her by telling her that illuminators will have a display soon.
Marein looks over at Trelaine. "What? Oh... Yes, I do. Accepted Trelaine." She's a bit less shaken now, and back to following protocol.
Arwen quirks a brow, and tilts his head, listening. THen he nods at Milli, inclining his head. "Have a nice evening."
Milli smiles, and leaves the future Aes Sedais to theis. Perhaps with a little envy.
Trelaine misses as she waves at Milli's back. Glancing around, Trelaine grins a bit mischieviously. "Get out of be, Marein and grab a stool. Come over and talk with us." Trelaine seems genuiine open about inviting the novice over to join them, but she also doesn't want to be seen spending a bit too much time around a trainee alone. "And when we're alone, and alone includes Arwen, call me Trelaine."
Marein smiles, and is half way out of her bed before she realizes that she is wearing only her shift. She rapidly goes a furiously red, jerking the sheet around her. Then, in a flash of ingenuity, she wraps the sheet about her and pads over, smiling nonetheless.
Arwen quirks a brow at Marein's blush, having obediently turned his gaze. Then, he notes, with a grin, "Trust me-- I didn't see a thing."
Trelaine starts to reach over, trying to put a hand over Arwen's eyes. Was that a bit of a flash of jealousy? Nah. Not Trelaine. Then she grins broadly at the novice. Yes, Trelaine likes this one. You can nearly see the wheels turning in Trelaine's mind as she watches Marein. A wink is given to Arwen as she looks away. "You better not have, an Aes Sedai would not be pleased."
Arwen looks dry. "Like I can do anything improper-- I can barely move right now..." He trails off, shrugging. "ANyway-- you're doing all right? I know I got you to the Tower, but I passed out a bit after that..."
Trelaine shoots Arwen and odd grin, then shakes her head. "And I was sent up here so fast, I didn't have time to count to ten."
Marein sits down in a chair, shivering slightly, then pulls her feet up and into the sheet. "Um, I don't know myself. I just remember shutting off Saidar. It was getting... painful. Then it went black."
Arwen ohs. He nods. "I see-- well...I'm glad I got you back, anyway. You two really should be more careful."
Trelaine hmmms, nodding to Marein. "You were channeling too much." Then she frowns slightly at Arwen. "-We- should be more careful? Look who is the one with the wound, hmmm?"
Arwen smirks at Trel, "I did /exactly/ as I was told. Took the wound, got the kill." He shrugs, "The wound is irrelevant, making sure he didn't hurt you or Marein more was relevant."
Trelaine smirks back at Arwen, actually sticking her tongue out at the man. This is not exactly the Accepted that if formal when times call for it. This is informal Trelaine at her best. "Oh, hush. You're alive, that's all I care about."
Nata quietly finishes her business and starts toward the door, nodding to those remaining.
Trelaine stands and curtsies to Nata. "Good day, Nata Sedai."
Arwen would bow-- but instead, he inclines his head, as he can't. "Good day, Aes Sedai."
Marein stands quickly, curtseying as best she can, wrapped in a sheet.
Marein stuffs herself into the sheet again and sitting down, smiling to Trelaine and Arwen.
Trelaine claps her hands togethers, smiling. "Well then. Marein, why don't you tell us a bit about your home, and we'll do the same. Might as well get to know each other since we're in each other's debt."
What? Tell of her life in Tear? That she has a mother who is a prostitute and a father who could be one of quite many? No way. Marein bites her lip, looking down to the floor, murmuring. "I dunno... Tear was just... muddy."
Trelaine arches an eyebrow at Marein, seeing the reluctance, so she lets Marein's answer be enough. Smiling, Trelaine turns to Arwen. "Your turn!"
Marein 's eyes turn up to Arwen again, smiling. Arwen is her hero. He /did/ kill that nasty guy, so Marein likes him. "Yes, tell."
Arwen, a hero. Gah, what's Tar Valon coming to? He shrugs, and mulls. "Came from Saldaea-- father was a trader, and my mother a bit of a teacher, she tutored nobles' children." He chuckles, "Came here after a while."
Trelaine pokes Arwen's good side. "More detail."
Arwen clucks his tongue at Trelaine. Careful. Then to Marein, he grins. "Well, mother tended to make sure I got my lessons...I speak the Old Tongue well, and am good at sums and such." He shrugs, "Not much more to tell."
Trelaine smirks at Arwen. I'm always careful, she quips in the Old Tongue. Then she smirks.
Trelaine says "Why did you come here? I know why Marein did, and I'm sure you could guess since she's Tairen.""
Arwen shrugs, "Long story. Father died, and I needed to make my own way-- didn't want to do what mother wanted, and continue the business."
Marein winces slightly. Wonder how Colaende is? Have they left Tar Valon now? She said she would visit her, after she had been settled in. Perhaps she should try getting a message to her.
Trelaine mmms, nodding to Arwen. "Well, your life was more exciting than mine. But then, Arwen, you've already heard this." Trelaine's blue eyes turn pointedly on Marein. A novice must never let her attention wander. Nope.
Marein looks back at the two, her smile returning as she listens.
Trelaine sits on Arwen's bed, with Marein wrapped in a sheet and sitting on a stool next to them.
Arwen is laying in a bed, looking rather pale still.
Dana slipsquietly into the room.
Marein looks at Arwen. She remembers that weave, she knows she can do it. But no. She won't give in to Saidar's temptation. Even if she could now.
Dana says softly, "Hi Marein. How are you feeling?"
Trelaine seems to relax a bit as Dana walks in. Good it be she's happy for the distraction?
Marein turns towards Dana, smiling even if a bit on the weak side. "I'm fine, Dana. Just a bit tired. And I can't feel Saidar now. But I will be able to channel again soon, Nata says. And my block is gone." She grins, almost daringly?
Arwen quirks a brow, and grins at Marein-- he'd not heard that. "Congratulations, I should say."
Dana says excitedly, "It is? That's wonderful! How did it happen? Is that why you were unconscious when I came into the courtyard the other night?"
Trelaine beams at Marein. "You did? It's gone! Maybe I should get hurt more often." She then gives Arwen a reassuring wink.
Marein nods, looking a bit more uncomfortable now. She better remember how close she was to letting all that sweetness into her. Shrugging it off, she looks back to Trelaine, mock chagrin in her voice. "Oh, so i have to nearly kill myself Healing you again? No. Arwen, you keep an eye on her, or i'll come bite your toes off, one by one." She grins, somewhat uncertainly though.
A sudden boom and a big flash of light can be seen in the night sky outside the infirmary, coming from the Alindrelle square.
Dana jumps at the boom. "What was that?" she exclaims.
Trelaine clicks her tongue and gasps, even though her eyes are dancing with mirth. "Would I do something like that on purpose?" Then she blinks, and glances towards a window. "What in a Fetch's Twisted Armor was that?"
Marein looks out the window. "Illuminators! Ah, drats. And I have to stay here."
Dana pauses to glance at Trelaine for the comment, then joins Marein by the window.
Arwen starts, and peers upwards, but doesn't get up-- he can't. "I dunno, what does it look like?"
Marein looks intently out the window, waiting to see if there will be more. "There's nothing now. Perhaps they have more." She smiles, nearly jumping up and down. This, she has never seen before.
You say "Oh, so that's the... Errands that Milli had to do, eh?"
Dana grins, nodding excitedly. "I hope so," she says softly.
Trelaine stands up and ushers everyone to the window. "Go on, but save us a good view." Then she turns back to Arwen. "Come on, let me help you over there." Trelaine offers her shoulders to support Arwen's weight. She's awfully kind, isn't she?
Dana keeps an eye on the window, but repeats her question to Marein, "How did you break your block?"
Arwen rolls his eyes and pullls himself to his feet-- /without/ Trelaine's shoulder. Wobbly, but there. And almost as if he were willing himself there, he makes hsi way to the window. "I'm fine." Overproud stupid borderlander.
Marein uhms, starting to tell her story again, just as flashes of a myriad colour can be seen coming from the square. "Me, Arwen and Trelaine was going to the Ogier grove to relax a bit. It's so nice and quiet there... And there was this guy, he jumped Trelaine and hit her head. Arwen killed him." She stops just as another sparkle can be seen coming from the square with an Aaah. This is Marein? She doesn't sually speak this much in one go. Perhaps some of her anonymous personality was left in Tear.
Dana gives Arwen a bit of a concerned look as he wobbles over.
Trelaine frowns at Arwen. "See here. I'm not going to have you fall over on me. Just rest your arm on my shoulder, Arwen," she says as she starts fussing over him from behind.
Arwen says dryly, "I won't fall-- trust me." Of course, he's cheating, but he isn't going to tell Trelaine /that/. "Looks like an explosion..."
Dana gasps, giving Arwen a look that is hard to distinguish...horror or revulsion, maybe?
Trelaine pouts at Arwen. "Here I am, offering help, help that would not stain your honor, and you're being as stubborn as a mule. Really, if you can't take thanks...," Trelaine sighs as she trails off.
Suddenly, a great big boom can be heard down from the square, along with a great flash. There is utter silence. No cheering as from the others. Then, the screams start.
Dana gasps again, looking towards the square. "Light..." she breathes.
Arwen grins at Trel, and shrugs, "You're still weak. I'll make it fine, don't you worry."
Trelaine gasps and ducks under Arwen, to look out the window better. She frowns, and turns towards the door, then back to the window, then back to the door again. "By the Blood of the Dragon!" Trelaine curses, then claps her hands together. "Marein, Arwen, back into bed. We might have people in here soon enough." She points to Dana. "You, gather up bandages. Now!"
You say "Blood and ashes! Blood and bloody ashes!"
Dana jumps. "Yes, accepted," she says quickly.
Arwen inclines his head, and makes his way towards the bed, calling out, "Also clear off the beds, put on linen."
Dana bustles around the infirmary, collecting all of the bandages she can find.
Marein suddenly shrieks. "Milli's there! Light!" She runs towards the doors, stumbling before she reaches halfway there. Stopping, she chooses to sit down on the floor instead, looking quite pale.
Trelaine points Marein to her bed. "In bed. I'll not have you straining yourself helping people. I can at least stand without swaying." The last comment is directed to Arwen. "I know, Arwen. I know. Why do you think I drill here so much. Don't want to get caught with you hu...."
Trelaine looks around and blushes and abruptly goes about gathering linens and preparing what needs to be prepared.
Trelaine frowns at Marein. "Novice, I don't know your name yet, sorry," she says to Dana, "Get her to her bed!"
Dana is very efficient after the initial panic wears off; as if she's done this sort of thing before.
Dana says softly, "It's Dana, Accepted...yes'm." She sets the bandages down and rushes over to help Marein to her bed. "I'm sure she's alright," Dana mumbles to Marein as she does so.
Marein stumbles up, accepting Dana's help as she walks over to the bed, sitting down on it at least. "Trelaine, what about Milli?!"
Trelaine nods to Dana. "Dana, good name." Then she returns to gathering up the linens. Once that is done, she starts pulling down herb tins, once that would be useful on burns.
Dana says softly, "Lie down, Marein...you can't do anything to help in your state..."
Trelaine waggles her finger at Marein. "Milli can care for herself, for one, and it's just outside the Tower gates. There are Aes Sedai there now, I'm certain." Trelaine pauses for a moment, her eyes staring at nothing as is searching for something and nods. All is well, this would be a -bad- time to have an 'episode.'
Dana smiles briefly at Trelaine. "I'm afraid I don't know your name either..."
Trelaine blinks and looks at Dana. "My name? Oh, Trelaine." Then she motions to Arwen. "Arwen." She sighs. Everything is prepared. Now there is just the waiting. Trelaine's gaze flicks between the two novices before she walks over to Arwen's bunk and sits down on it, next to the trainee.
Dana tries to get Marein to lie down, sitting on the edge of the bed next to her.
Trelaine sighs, shaking her head, wringing her hands in front of her.
Morillin enters the infirmary.
Dana stands and curtseys quickly to Morillin. She was sitting on the edge of Marein's bed.
Trelaine hops off of the cot she was sitting on. Oddly, Arwen's laying in that very same cot. Trelaine quickly curtsies. "We heard the explosions, Aes Sedai, and all has been prepared. We're just waiting for casualties to be brought in."
Arwen is laying in bed, looking rather pale; he struggles, and manages a half-sitting bow towards Morillin as she enters. "Aes Sedai."
Morillin glides in, the red fringe on her shawl swaying gently as she comes to a halt. She gives Trelaine a small nod, her dark eyes flicking to Arwen and back to the Accepted as one eyebrow lifts slowly. "Which explosions would those be?" she inquires.
Marein sits in her bed, looking quite pale and out of place.
Lynna has arrived.
Marein mumbles. "Illuminators. Something went wrong... Aes Sedai."
Trelaine motions towards the window. "The ones we heard coming from teh Square, Aes Sedai."
Dana says softly, "You didn't hear them? The illuminators...we think people are wounded..."
Sounds can be heard from the hallway. Sounds like a lot of people.
Milli enters the infirmary.
Lynna rushes into the Infirmary, slowing once she's inside. Her expression fights between panic and calm. She curtsies quickly to Morillin, then to Trelaine. "There are people wounded," she confirms. "They're being led here now."
Rhodish enters the infirmary.
Oh, stop, Arwen can hardly stand. He inclines his head at Morillin, and nods. "Came from the square, it looked like."
Coryn enters the infirmary.
Maccus enters the infirmary.
Morillin's mouth tightens. "Illuminators," she snaps. "Ridiculous fools." She turns as people begin to enter, her expression growing stonier.
Rhodish assists the wounded young man in and looks to those there for instructions.
Maccus escorts a man into the room who is minorly injured...
Coryn helps a limping man in.
Dana stands near Marein's cot, but is ready to help any who need assistance getting to an empty cot...
Lynna turns to the door as said wounded start coming in, and starts helping helping whoever else is working, trying to help find places for all the injured - if she wasn't on infirmary duty before, she is now.
Dana walks up to Rhodish, directing him to bring the man to one of the cots.
Trelaine curtsies her respect to Morillin, then hurries and helps people into the infirmary, assigning cots. "Dana, bandages, and water. Make sure the wounds are cleansed."
Dana says softly, "This way..."
Rhodish follows to the directed cot and eases the man down to a sitting position.
Milli is carrying a child in her hands as she walks in, somewhat unsteadily. The child has big burns on his face, and he moans and strains against her as Milli sets the child down on a bunk, hastily setting herself to work with getting the rest of the people in.
Dana nods to Trelaine, gathering the bandages and water after pointing out the cot to Rhodish.
Coryn stands back, wondering what to do as the man's head lolls to the side.
Maccus helps his man to a similar cot and helps him to sit...
Yellow sisters move forward, issuing commands in crisp tones as they get the injured settled on various cots and benches. Novices dart hurriedly to gather bandages and water. Morillin steps to the child Milli was carrying, giving the little boy a gentle smile as she carefully rests a hand on his chest.
Dana quickly assesses the wounded, and starts to clean the wounds of the most seriously hurt.
Rhodish backs away from the bustle, so as not to get in anyone's way.
Lynna heads over to Coryn, doing her best to assess how bad the person he's guiding is, before saying, "This way," Her voice is soft, straining to keep from sounding unsteady.
Maccus once he gets his man settled he moves out of the hubbub and towards not needing attention...he leaves to help in other aspects
Coryn trys to help the man to a bed, but the scrawny boy is no match for the man. He's relived when a Aes Seadi comes to help him. "Thank you, Ma'am Sedai."
Milli smiles briefly to Morillin as she steps away, moving on to other injuries.
Trelaine doubletakes at Morillin. Was that a smile! Egads! Maybe the Dark One is free! Trelaine shakes her head, and starts following Aes Sedai orders.
Rhodish looks to Milli, "Are there more down there that need help?"
Dana quickly and efficiently cleans and bandages, moving on to other patients at a rapid pace.
Maccus opens the door and steps out into the hallway.
Milli looks at Rhodish, casting a glance out the window and into the square. "Go and see. Alenthia Sedai hasn't returned yet."
Rhodish nods and heads purposefully out the door.
Rhodish opens the door and steps out into the hallway.
Lynna is hardly well-built herself, and isn't about to correct Coryn's assumption that she's Aes Sedai; she'll just say she missed it later. Right now, she has other concerns. She gets on the opposite side of the man as Coryn, and helps lead the injured man to a bench.
Coryn with the help of the Aes Sedai, manages to get the man into a cot.
Dana murmurs a few words of encouragement to each person she visits in a soft tone.
Coryn says "I don't think he's conscience ma'am Sedai, he looked up at me, and his head lolled sideways."
Morillin frowns very slightly at whatever she finds. The boy whimpers softly as she eases him down onto his back, and his eyes slowly drift shut. In moments, he is sleeping peacefully. The Red sister straightens with a sigh and waits until a Yellow hurries over to see what can be done.
Lynna nods to Coryn, gently cradling the man's lolled head with one hand. Carefully, she opens one of the man's eyes with her other hand, checking to see if there's any reaction.
Milli grabs a nearby towel, wiping the last of the blood from her forehead. She has been healed, there was just blood left from the wound. She busies herself with tending those who she can.
Coryn watches, and tries to get out of the way, knowing that many are more injured then he, but he doesn't find any place to go, so instead he askes the Aes Seadi, "Is theire anything I can do?"
Rhodish enters the infirmary.
Milli glances quickly in Coryn's direction. "Do you know how to bandage wounds?"
Rhodish carries in a young girl, unconscious, and again looks around for a place to take her.
Morillin steps to another of the injured, resting her hand on his forehead briefly before moving on. She looks almost frustrated.
Dana motions to Rhodish, indicating an empty cot.
Coryn says "At little, but I don't think my hands are up to it, can I something to help with out using them?"
Milli looks over to Rhodish, walking quickly over to assess the girl's condition. Indicating a nearby bed.
Trelaine hops from one order to the next. She's not help in healing, but she's learned to make a mean bandage.
Melli has arrived.
Lynna frowns slightly when the injured man shows no reply. She straightens slightly, about to answer, when Milli does. Seeing that someone's taking care of what Coryn's to do, she begins looking arough for bandages nearby - the Sisters seem to be busy with some of the worse injured people. "I need bandages over here," she says, loud enough to be heard but not very authoritatively.
Alenthia looks around, dismay almost breaking Aes Sedai confidence. She quickly moves over to the girl Milli and Rhodish were handling, placing hands on her forehead.
