Genifyr's Description:
A young Andoran girl of perhaps 16 or 17, Genifyr stands about 5'10, with long golden hair which is slightly wavy, reaching down to her mid-chest. Her green eyes often seem to be staring off into space, and her thin eyelashes do not compliment them very well. Her mouth is just a tad too large for her face. She wears a blue Andoran dress with a high neckline, suitable for someone of middling wealth. Dallia's Description: The woman before you can't be more than twenty-three or twenty-four...maybe. She has the look of a Cairhein noblewoman to her. She can't be more than five foot three inches, five four at the most, tall. Her soft eyes have the tell tale Ildevwin blue eyes. So pale as to be almost white. Cool chunks of crystalline ice with just a hint of a sparkle to them that could be an edge of humor. Those eyes have just a hint of a lift to their ends, almost making them look almond like, or even cat like.
That similarity to cats is only emphasized by her lips which are more often than not, turned up into a mysterious like smile. Her nose can only be described as regular. Not overly large, or overly small. It does however have a small point to its tip. All around her falls the thick waves of her waist length hair. Its color changing almost from strand to strand. One moment it is the darkest deepest black imaginable the next a soft chocolatly brown. She seems to like letting it fall free and loose. Setting squarely between her brows is a small kesiera of sapphire. Matching that is a small sapphire ring set on her right hand.
Her dress is simple, but well made. A cream colored confection that hugs her body in the right places. A white shawl sits firmly around her shoulders.

Jensin's Description:
Jensin is 5'8, blonde and blue-eyed.

Lynna's Description:
Lynna is a tall woman, standing at a height of nearly six feet. Her dark hair, worn past her shoulders, and her sharp green eyes add to the proud, angular facial features characteristic of many Shienarans. The only thing making this girl not seem so intimidating is that she's so slight of build, despite her height. Her smooth features suggest that she's still young, perhaps in her early twenties. She wears a white dress, hemmed with seven colors, high-necked and full sleeved - the normal dress of an Accepted of the White Tower. Her feet are covered in white slippers. On the third finger of her left hand is a gold ring with the likeness of the Great Serpent. Draped on her shoulders is a heavy snow-white cloak, to ward off the cold.

Weste's Description:
A young girl who is pretty but not remarkable. Shoulder length brown hair in curls frame a slender face graced with a small nose and greenish hazel eyes that dance with curiousity. Her shorter height makes her harder to distinguish in a crowd, and her eyes constantly wander with attention from sight to sight. An accent of Kandor can be heard on her tongue whenever she speaks. Though she conducts herself normally while alone and usually wears a smile, she appears to withdraw into a shell whenever she is seen among a large group of people. She wears the simple, unadorned white dress of a Novice of the Tower. The only other thing she wears are a pair of soft leather boots, which look rather new.

Roseana's Approximate Description:
5'5, 100 pounds, blue eyes, brown hair.

Location: Osendrelle Square, Tar Valon
Buildings made of white stone are etched in the shapes of fanciful shells or waves that are meant to dazzle the eye. Everything within the square and on the streets beyond seems to have been made for sheer beauty, as if to show off some great skill. Small statues, crevices and friezes help to decorate the Inns and shops that line the streets. There is a large statue in the center of the square, in the shape of the White Tower, with the Flame of Tar Valon emblazoned on a small flag, honoring the Aes Sedai and their work.

All around you can see that buildings and roads around you are covered with pristine white snow. Icicles hang precariously from the edges of drain spouts, threatening to fall at any moment. As predawn slowly goes away, the sun rises into a new day. People start leaving the confines of their homes to start the days chores.

Several different directions spout off from the square. The main exit leads toward the White Tower itself, making the square a center of traffic and other events. Three more exits lead down private roads, towards the southern most villages outside of the city.

Genifyr is walking through the street, amazed at all the beautiful sights. No matter how many times she comes here, she is always amazed. Suddenly she feels a bit dizzy. She puts a hand to her head and can't decide if she's hot or cold. A few seconds pass and she finds herself on the ground, not recalling her legs giving way.

Along the street walks a calm woman all in white, accented in blue sapphire jewelry and a face so calm as to rival the aging of stone. The calm woman, who, I might add, has nothing to indicate she is of the Tower save her smoothing face, is just stopping at a peddler's stand when the girl collapses near by. Turning, and smoothing the front of her shawl, she presses between two people leaning over to see what is the matter. In a coolly quiet voice she says, "Pardon, what happened here?" Asking this of one of the standerbys.

Genifyr shivers and sweats on the ground. The young man answers Dallia. "She just put a hand to her head and collapsed." He has a look of surprise when he recognizes the ageless face, and adds a hasty "Aes Sedai."

Dallia scowls at the young man. "Don't call me that." She crouches down beside the collapsed girl, laying a hand against her forehead. Looking up at two men standing around she says, "Well, don't just stand there, get this girl up out of the snow. She will catch her death and no thanks to you." She stands, still smoothing that shawl, "I think she should go to the flaming Arrow. You know where that is?" She gives a drilling glance at the men.

The men nod. Genifyr shivers and sweats some more.

Dallia straightens and stands back while the men life the girl, she takes the lead and heads towards where the Flaming Arrow is.

Scene change to: Common Room of the Flaming Arrow Inn, Tar Valon

There is no change in Genifyr's condition. She shivers and sweats, seemingly unaware of her surroundings.

Dallia frowns upon closer inspection of the girl. Turning to the innkeeper she slips the man something. "When the girl awakens, have her go to the Tower and search out Dallia, or even Roseana."

2 Days later at Courtyard: White Tower, Tar Valon

Lynna is standing quietly, directing a small group of Novices as they keep the sidewalks clear. She seems not nearly as bothered by the chill as the younger girls are, letting her cloak hang partly open rather than holding it tight.

Jensin, Genifyr's father, is leading the way through the courtyard to find those two Aes Sedai. He looks at Lynna and heads toward her, prepared to ask where he could find Dallia or Roseana Sedai. At least she's not an Aes Sedai.

Genifyr follows her father.

Lynna turns as she notices a new arrival, and with a gently spoken admonition to the Novices, for them to not slack off, she turns toward the two and inclines her head. "May peace favor you. How may the Tower be of aid?"

Jensin says "Hello. I am Jensin Belyn, and this is my daughter Genifyr. Two days ago she fell ill and was apparently brought back to the inn we are staying at by an Aes Sedai. The Aes Sedai told the innkeeper to have her brought to the White Tower when she was better and seek out Dallia or Roseana Sedai."

Genifyr doesn't have anything to add to this.

Lynna bows her head again. "The Light shine on you both. I am Accepted Lynna Shandra." She regards the younger woman for a couple moments, before asking the pair, "Might I ask what happened, so that I can inform the Aes Sedai properly?"

Genifyr says "I felt dizzy and light-headed, wasn't sure if I was hot or cold, and apparently collapsed. I was fine by the end of the night though."

Lynna hmms softly, nodding. "I see. That certainly is worth checking to see what may be the matter, yes...."

Jensin nods. "Yes, so let us find the Aes Sedai." He doesn't know how to address an Accepted, but she's not Aes Sedai.

Weste steps out of the Tower and closes the doors behind her to prevent the heat from escaping. She draws her arms around her in the cold, and looks around the Courtyard.

Lynna nods to Jensin. "Of course. If you would follow me, please?" She turns toward the Tower, quietly nodding to Weste, and slowly heads toward the steps. "I will need to see if any of the Aes Sedai are busy." She then looks back to Weste. "Novice?"

Weste curtseys to Lynna as she gets close and looks a little startled as she is addressed. Her stuttering is both because of that and the cold temperatures. "Greetings Accepted Lynna. May I be of service?"

Lynna nods to Weste, then gestures to Genifyr and Jensin. "These are Jensin and Genifyr Belyn. Would you keep them company while I inform an Aes Sedai of Genifyr's current situation?"

Weste curtseys to both of the newcomers and answers with a nod, "Of course, Accepted. I would be honored to."

Lynna smiles and nods, then turns toward father and daughter. "I will return shortly. Novice Weste will accompany you in the meantime." With another bow of her head, she turns to enter the Tower.

Jensin hopes the Accepted will hurry. Genifyr whispers to him she's been fine this long, and he nods. Still, it's a lot harder for him to wait when his daughter is sick with whatever that was.

Dallia comes down out of the Tower, her hands smoothing her shawl as she steps. Not much of the Sedai's attention is on the courtyard really, eyes focused somewhere far off.

Weste smiles to both Jensin and Genifyr, and looks for an empty bench nearby. "Have you traveled long? You may wish to rest a bit while Accepted Lynna heads indoors."

Lynna comes to a stop when she spots Dallia. A moment's hesitation shows on her face, before she quietly approaches the woman.

Genifyr heads over to Weste and smiles. "My father is trading in Tar Valon right now. Soon he's going up to Maradon."

Dallia's eyes flicker to the banded white dress of the Accepted, she must have thought at first it was one of her own White sisters. When icy blue eyes finally rest on Lynna's face, the Sedai looks quite.. plainfaced. She stands at the top of the stairs, waiting for the Accepted to pass so that she make take her own time going down the ice slicked steps.

Weste nods and smiles. "It will be a tough trip, this time of year. I'm from a village just off of the Maradon Road." Her words and breath freeze as soon as they come out. "What does your father trade?"

Lynna comes up the steps carefully, with practiced steps of someone more than used to ice. She softly says, "Might I speak with you a moment?"

Genifyr says. "He trades a lot of things. Buys things too and trades them elsewhere. We're going to be in Tar Valon a while yet, but Maradon is our next destination."

"I suppose you may child." Dallia says coolly. Her voice calm and relaxed, just as the rest of her is. Still, she near constantly smooths her thick plain shawl. She stays where she is, at the top of the stairs and gives her attention to Lynna.

Lynna quietly bows her head, and lowers her voice.

Weste says "If your father has much rope to sell, he may wish to stop by Redmond's Ford... I know everyone was low when I left. Will you be staying at the Tower while you are here?"

Jensin paces while waiting.

Genifyr hmmms. "I don't know if he has much rope, but he has a lot of Taraboner dyes from our last trip to Tanchico. But no, I won't be staying at the Tower. I must have caught something because a few days ago I collapsed with fever and chills in front of an Aes Sedai. She arranged for me to come to the Tower for healing.

Dallia's lips turn up into a mysterious like catty smile at what Lynna tells her. Well, they do after she looks over the courtyard and sees just who is there. She mutters to Lynna, "... what... is... her?" She doesn't make a move to step down the stairs.

Weste nods. "I'm sure they would also buy dyes also..." She pauses as she processes what she hears. "The Sedai healed you, but asked you to come back?

Genifyr shakes her head. "I wasn't coherent at the time, but I was told she had me brought to the Flaming Arrow Inn. My father was not there at the time, but she told the innkeeper to have me brought here when I recover.

Weste looks down, trying to make sense of that. "I guess the Sedai wasn't gifted at healing then. She could have called for a Yellow though."

Genifyr blinks. "Yellow? As in Ajah? So they're the Healing ones. I had previously known only what the Red and Gray do. My father doesn't let me research Aes Sedai, he doesn't think it's a suitable topic."

Dallia's smiles turns up a little more at Lynna, she raises her voice a touch more so that maybe it can be heard more around the courtyard. "Exactly, that is why I had her sent here. Why don't we go down and talk to her." Fully expecting Lynna to come along, Dallia starts down the steps asking of the Accepted, "You are a very perceptive child, what Ajah are you leaning towards?"

Lynna smiles to Dallia, and turns to accompany her down the steps. "Thank you. I am looking toward the Gray, most likely."

Weste smiles a bit and nods. "The Yellows are devoted to healing and learning new methods to heal. I didn't know any of the Ajahs before I arrived here."

(((Genifyr's OOC Note: At this point, I had to get off IRL, so rp had to be patched up a bit. So, Genifyr went off to gape at the Tower, and Jensin went to find her. Dallia Weste and Lynna went inside. This took about 10 minutes.)))

Dallia comes back out of the tower, taking slow steps down the stairs and heading towards a bench at a clipped, but careful pace.

Weste closes the door quickly. She looks a bit warmer for the minutes inside, but not too much so. She watches her step down the stairs, careful of any that might be ice covered.

Genifyr heads toward Dallia with her father. "I apologize Aes Sedai. I thought I could take a few moments to explore."

Dallia's head comes up a notch when she figures out that Genifyr is talking to her. "Child, my name is Dal, I believe I have told you that before." She smooths her shawl with a few quick strokes. The thing should be almost flat by now. "Now, I believe someone said your father was here?"

Jensin steps forward. "I am her father .... Dal Sedai." He doesn't seem to know how to behave around and Aes Sedai.

Weste smiles and hurries down to Genifyr and Dal. She stands a ways back, unobtrusive unless she's needed. Her smile fades a little as she begins to guess where this might be heading.

Dallia's eyes grow cooler when the man calls her Sedai, even after she just plainly told the daughter that her name was Dal. "I see." She says, "Well, I have need to talk to your daughter, and you as well I suppose."

Jensin says "Yes Dal. When can she be healed?"

Lynna comes back out of the Tower alongside another Novice, who she directs toward the stables, before Lynna herself looks back over to see that Genifyr's been found.

Weste shivers a little, at least it isn't as cold as it was before. She glances sympathetically at Genifyr, having an even stronger inkling on what this is about.

"She won't need to be healed." Dallia says, motioning towards the Tower, "Why don't we step inside before we all freeze to death and the Tower gets a new set of human statues to decorate the courtyard."

Weste sighs a little bit and heads back towards the Tower /again/. In her white novice dress she's starting to look like a Ping-Pong ball.

Lynna pauses by the door when she hears the suggestion to return to the Tower. She waits there, opening the door when the group nears.

Genifyr hmms and follows behind the Aes Sedai and her father.

Dallia goes on in the Tower, not bothering to look at who wishes to follow. She does say, to the females of the group, "How does hot tea sound?"

Lynna smiles to Dallia as she holds the door for everyone. "It sounds good to me."

Scene change to: Dallia's Apartments: White Tower, Tar Valon

Weste glances once at Dallia before heading to the tea set and preparing tea for everyone that might wish it.

Dallia makes her way to one of the couches, pulling her shawl of as she goes. She settles down in what must be her favorite seat as she seems very familiar with it. Most of the piles of books and odds and ends have made their way out of the room so that it almost looks livable. "Now, please sit." She motions to the open seats.

Lynna quietly moves to sit as directed, though she pauses to curtsey toward Roseana before sitting.

Weste pours out the tea and offers a cup to everyone, including Roseana, whom she almost curtseys to.

Jensin does as the Aes Sedai says, as does Genifyr.

Roseana walks in quietly, her smooth complexion marred with a frown. "Dal," she begins, stopping at the sight. She nods to Lynna and Weste while pausing to glance at the unfamiliar girl. She raises an eyebrow and turns back to Dal. "Sorry to intrude, but I heard...well that's not important right now. How does the Light find you this day?"

Dallia looks up to her Fellow White. "It finds with me with a new girl it seems." She just seems to take for granted that Genifyr will be allowed to stay here, even if its not been brought up as of yet. "Why don't you join us Rose, you might be of help."

Roseana nods after a moment, settling herself into one of the couches. She takes a moment to fix herself a cup of tea, wincing a bit before she adds a bit of honey. "So does this child have a name?"

Weste looks surprised as Rose reaches past her for the tea. She sits down wondering what she did wrong this time, and sips her cup.

Jensin wonders what they are talking about. "If Genifyr does not need to be Healed, what's wrong with her?"

Lynna nods her quiet thanks to Weste as she is handed a teacup.

Dallia holds her own cup of tea loosely in her hand. Dal has always been one to let students, or future students, speak their own mind. She looks to Genifyr to see if the girl will provide her own name for those gathered in the room. When Jensin provides the name, a small frown appears on Dallia's face, but she says, "Your daughter is not truly sick sir. At least, I do not think she is." Vague answer is that.

Genifyr looks to Weste for a cup of tea. "Dal, if I am not sick, then why did I have fevers and chills?"

Roseana glances at Weste with something like amusement across her face. "Child, does it look like I'm incapable of getting myself something to drink? Besides, fixing myself a cup of tea is a luxury that I have always enjoyed." She turns to Dal at the mention of Healing, understanding written across her face.

Weste blushes and lowers her head. "Of course not Roseana Sedai. I meant no offense." Her cheeks blush even further as Dal continues.

Weste eeps as she forgot Genifyr's cup, and quickly pours her a cup as well.

Genifyr says "Thank you. I'm sorry, I missed your name."

"Well Genifyr, if I've not missed my guess," Dallia looks towards Lynna on that comment, then back to Genifyr, "It is because you have a gift." She gives her teacup a half turn, not drinking from it yet.

Lynna quietly nods her agreement as she takes a careful sip from her own.

Roseana leans forward a bit, setting her tea in front of her. "Child, what do you know of the Aes Sedai? Really know, that is?"

Genifyr eyes widen a moment. "The only reliable information I have is that they are all female. They are divided into Ajahs, the Reds gentle men who can channel, the Grays are ambassadors, and the Yellows Heal."

Dallia gives her cup another half turn and asks, "Do you know how the Ajahs perform their tasks? Such as the healing?"

Genifyr shakes her head. "I've read a few things, but little I trust completely, and most of it contradictory. I don't really research the subject."

Weste answers, "Weste," to Genifyr's earlier question. She manages a small smile, but looks uncomfortable with the way the conversation is going.

(((Genifyr's OOC Note: At this point, Dal and I had to leave IRL. Dal and I met later.)))

Dallia looks at everyone but Genifyr and her father. "Would you mind if I talked to these two alone for a moment?" Not long after the Sedai has the words out people are excusing themselves and going about their own business. She turns back to Genifyr, cup in hand getting another half turn. "Now, tell me again how your sickness came child?"

Genifyr nods. "The first day we were in Tar Valon I was admiring the scenery. I suddenly felt dizzy and light-headed. And then I couldn't tell if I was hot or cold. I remember being surprised I was no longer standing, and then I remember being back in the inn.

Dallia nods slowly, finally taking a sip of what has got to be cold tea. "I see, what of the weeks before that? Any odd signs of illness? For that matter, anything odd at all?" She is very relaxed, leaning back in the couch

Genifyr says "I hadn't been sick for a while. As for odd happenings, there was Aringill." Genifyr closes her mouth, and a slight blush comes to her cheeks.

"Aringill?" The Sedai asks, one brow arching up. She sets her cup of tea to the side after just the one sip, fingers steepling in front of her.

Genifyr sighs. "We were in Aringill. It was before we left for Tar Valon. I.. fell off the railing of the boat. The water was very cold, and it was churned by the riverboats. I couldn't do anything, but I hit a tree trunk. Apparently a fully grown tree snapped and allowed me to stay in one place long enough to be rescued.

The one brow raised by the Sedai lifts a little higher. "It just snapped?" She sounds as if she wants to make sure she has the facts straight. While she waits on an answer, she takes off one of the rings she wears. Its set with the largest of sapphires she wears.

Genifyr nods. "I didn't see it, but everyone else assured me it just snapped.

Dallia now turns the ring in her hand as she did the cup. "Do you remember what happened? I mean, when the tree snapped, what were you doing?

Genifyr says "I was trying to grab onto something so I wouldn't drown."

Dallia nods slowly and gives a quick change of subject. "Genifyr, how would you like it if you had the way to do anything you wanted? If you didn't have to listen to much of anyone, save your self and one other?"

Genifyr considers. "It really wouldn't make a difference. I'm happy the way I have it now.

Dallia grows a wide smile. "Power would be nothing to you then?"

Genifyr says. "No. I'm happy just the way I have it. I'd much rather have a book anyway."

"Oh, but just because you have power doesn't mean you have to lay down books. In fact, you could have all the books you want." Dallia waves a hand around her room, showing the many bookshelves packed with books after years and years of gathering them. "What I'm getting at Genifyr, is you just might have a gift, like all the other girls who train here."

Genifyr says "A gift. As in channeling." She had been half expecting that, but it's still a surprise. Her father gapes.

Dallia nods slightly. "Yes, as in channeling." She looks at the father, "That is why the Accepted Lynna and I were thinking your daughter had been sick." To Genifyr she says, "And also why I asked that you be brought here."

Genifyr says "So I had a reaction from channeling? What causes channeling anyway? I've read it's from everything from usurping the Creator's power to drawing on some force of nature."

Dallia smiles yet again, "Well, it is a little of both. The Source is what we draw from. The Creator used the Source to make all that we know, while at the same time, the Source is nature."

Genifyr smiles. "It sounds like a good thing to make a study of. But why would it cause such a reaction?

Dallia says "Well, there are a few different reasons really. One of which is the fact that you do not know how to control your gift." She holds her ring up to the light for a moment before looking back at you. "It is very dangerous if your not taught to some control over it, even deadly.""

Jensin looks very worried upon hearing deadly, but does not speak while Dal talks to his daughter.

Genifyr says "I understand. If I can channel, and am unable to control it, I'd be just as dangerous as a male channeler."

Dallia slips her ring back on her finger, just as much as ignoring the look from the father. "But, we can't be entirely sure that that is what happened with you unless you are tested." She nods as soon as she hears Genifyr's comment. "In some cases, yes, but a wilder, that is what we call those who do not get training, and survive, usually has less problems than a Male Channeler. They form their own sorts of control." She sits back, "But, Wilders are very rare, just about one in four girls who forego the training survive long enough to even /be/ wilders."

Genifyr says "One in four? Well, I think the most appropriate course of action would be to test me. How long does the process take?"

"It takes as long as it takes." Not a very sturdy answer, but the truth none the less. "We will take our time and let it tell us if you are or not." She smooths her skirts with both hands. "All it really takes is giving your self over to the Source."

Genifyr nods. "Let's begin then."

Dallia nods also flicking a look at the father. "If you will sir, please stay very quiet, she will need all her concentration for this." Turning back to Genifyr she starts what is actually the first lesson a Novice learns. "I want you to relax, and close your eyes. Don't think of anything other than your breathing."

Genifyr closes her eyes.

Dallia sits still where she is, not rustling even a skirt. "Now, concentrate on my voice Genifyr, keep your breathing slow, in and out, in and out."

Genifyr breathes slowly, in and out, as she was told. She concentrates on Dallia's voice, waiting.

Dallia goes with the old tried and true method. "When your mind is completely clear, envision yourself as a flower. Every petal and line perfect."

Genifyr pictures herself as a red rose, the flower she's most familiar with. She can see it, even smell it.

Dallia's voice goes on to say. "Now that you have that perfect flower formed, can you feel the warmth of the sunlight? Just over your shoulder, asking you to bloom out, open for it."

Genifyr nods. "I can see it."

Let it surround you Genifyr, let your petals open to it." Dallia says.

Genifyr sits quietly for a few moments. "Nothing is happening."

Dallia frowns, leaning forward. "Nothing?" She sounds a little surprised. "Well, take your time and try again... /let/ it surround you."

Genifyr sits quietly for a few minutes, relaxed. "Nothing has happened."

Dallia sits back in her chair saying, "Relax, and open your eyes now." Tapping her forefinger against her lips she says, "This doesn't make sense ... unless..." She doesn't go on with the thought, but starts up with a new one. "I still want you to see the.. Mistress of Novices." She doesn't sound to happy about the person she is sending you to, "I don't know when she will be free, but I am nearly definitely sure you can channel.
