Summary:The Aes Sedai gather together in the Common Lounge for an impromptu, informal meeting over the recent deaths revolving around the twisted Amyrlin's stole. A surge of power below alerts the Aes Sedai to something not right, and they decide to investigate - finding a rather shocking and revealing development.

Common Lounge: White Tower, Tar Valon

The room appears to be painted in a bright, cheerful yellow color, that's rather pale. All around you can see tapestries of all shapes and sizes hanging from the walls, but you might get the impression that they are rather new, compared to the others that are hanging about the Tower. There are several tables and chairs within this room, as well as sofas, all for the comfort of those that might use this room. You'll notice several books resting on one of the tables, that one might be able to read in comfort. There are several lanterns about the room used for lighting and against the back wall you'll notice a small fireplace for heating.

A large fire can be seen billowing within the fireplace, holding the winter cold at bay. Stacked next to the fireplace you'll notice a small pile of wood. The room appears a bustle as several servants and Novices clean the area, getting it ready for the crowd that is sure to come within the hours to follow.

There is only one exit out of the room and that is the archway that leads toward the common living quarters.

Contents: Wynn

Obvious exits: Common Wing

Wynn is sitting over near the window reading through a stack of papers.

Tsuiko comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Tsuiko has arrived.

Devon makes her way down into the common lounge, her movements slow and perhaps intentionally graceful. Today, she's dressed in a deep blue gown, with stitching around the waist that perhaps reminds of crashing waves. As rare as it occurs, today Devon even wears her Shawl, complete with blue fringe dangling down. Her hair is tied back, and held up in an elegant bun. Her eyes aren't particularly friendly, seeming more serious than not.

Wynn puts the top paper behind the rest in the stack and continues reading. Her expression is serious as well at least except for the few moments she looks out the window. She looks up towards the newcomers and nods with a polite smile.

Tsuiko comes in behind Devon, holding a little doll in her hands. She is concentrating on it's features as she walks along, almost bumping into Devon as she does so. She doesn't have any apparent jewlery or tattoos on her body.. so unless they know this young Sedai, they wouldnt suspect her of being Sedai.

Wynn pauses for a moment, just looking at Tsuiko, a curiousity in her eyes.

Devon glances around the room. Early, the meeting hasn't started yet. In her skimming of the contents, she sees the movement out of the corner of her eye. "Light shine, Ko," she murmurs, although if the Light is shining, perhaps this particular Sedai doesn't see it.

Tsuiko nods.. "Light shine, Devon.." Ko pauses as she turns to see Wynn. She's heard of other Sea Folk in the Tower, but hasn't seen any yet. She offers up a beaming smile to Wynn.. "May the wind find your sails, sister."

Wynn smiles with a bit of delight in her eyes, "May your sails never lack for wind, as well, or yours as well," she says first to Tsuiko and then to Devon.

Devon nods her head to her fellow Blue. "May the wind find your sails as well, Sister," she murmurs, her posture adjusting so that she can look at both of the women in front of her, as well as towards the doors, to watch all who enter. "This meeting should be...an interesting development, if it doesn't get us all sent to penance."

Holding her doll rather close, Ko moves towards Wynn, her smile growing as she nears the other Sedai. "I had heard of Athan'Miere Sedai here, but this is the first time I've seen another from my home." She looks on the point of tears, actually

Wynn looks at Devon for a moment, "Meeting?" she asks actually looking a little confused for a moment before looking at Tsuiko, "There are a couple of us, and I have just returned recently from my position of ambassador to our people actually." Her smile is now warm and the papers sit idle in her lap.

Devon nods slightly. "One of the Yellows has called a meeting, in light of the recent plague that has threatened the Tower. Even the children whisper rumors of what they assume is going on, each tale more fanciful and unbelievable than the last."

Tsuiko blinks a few times and looks over at Devon and nods, before she frowns.. "And I must use my ...Talent to find out the things we must know." She moves to sit near Wynn. "May I sit, Sister?" She offers, noting the necklace. "Lovely necklace."

Wynn smiles and nods, "Thank you," though she does look curious at the mention of Talent but doesn't say anything, "I have been here reading the data my agents brought me, I have been out of touch a little as I have been trying to organize my offices."

Tsuiko slides down into the chair and sighs softly. "My talent is Recalling, sister." She offers to Wynn and motions to her gloves, which she's worn since she was a novice. "It's good to see another of our people here.. perhaps you could help me claim my lost heritage one day." She murmurs to Wynn.

Wynn nods and thinks for a moment as if trying to remember. She nods as she does, "That is possible, though our people are rarely friendly with those who have come to the tower. I was able to negotiate a little and hope I made some leeway, but it was hard to tell." she nods, "We should get together sometime to speak."

Devon takes a seat upon one of the sofa's, eyes focused upon the doorway. Her face appears generally pale, as it has ever since finding the young novice strangled nearly a week past. For now, she has forgotten Wynn and Ko, her attention on the door. The meeting would be starting soon, where would it go from there?

Tsuiko nods.. "After the meeting.." She leans over and murmurs something to Wynn.. .before offering a smile.

Wynn smiles and just nods to Tsuiko, eyes bright and then she glances around the room again. She looks down at her stack of papers and then puts them in a small bag that appears to have a locking mechanism on it, which she locks.

Sionil comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Sionil has arrived.

Slowly, members of several more Ajahs begin making their way into the meeting, and seats begin to fill up. The level of noise in the room slowly rises, as Sisters quietly discuss with one another, most if not all looking deadly serious.

Tsuiko is sitting near Wynn Sedai and speaking to her lightly. There is a broad smile on her face.. "This." She says to Wynn.. "Is one of my dolls.. I collect them." She says, rather proudly.. "Something I've done for many years."

Wynn smiles and nods, "Very nice," she says softly as she lets her eyes wander over the others who have started gathering.

Sionil enters into the room. moving closer to the front as her position entails.

Erina Sedai walks to the front of the room, her movements precise and slow, the kind of grace that is forced, not natural. She too wears her shawl, as do many of the Sisters gathered, her fringe a deep yellow. "Greetings, Sisters," she murmurs, glancing around the room. Not entirely a lot of Sisters, but definitely enough to give credence that whatever they discuss is important. "Three deaths, and who knows how many more," she begins, her words slow and enunciated.

Qiani comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Qiani has arrived.

Wynn returns to a serious expression as her eyes watch the room while people speak, as if looking for something maybe...while she listens as well.

Tsuiko looks up and sighs, watching everyong as the Yellow speaks, nodding in confirmation.

Devon listens quietly, her morbid mood growing even more so as the woman begins.

Qiani slips into the room, carrying a tray laden with teacups and saucers of pale blue and leaf thin Sea Folk porcelain. Eyes for the most part downcast and lips pressed together in concentration, she moves silently through the room to offer refreshment to the gathered Sisters.

Erina moves while she speaks, slowly working her way from one side of the room, to the other. "Not only have we been cost one of our own, an Aes Sedai highly respected in the Tower, but now an initiate, a novice, has had her life snuffed out. May the Creator shield their souls. Time has not halted this threat, only three months since Meggera was killed, and then Sheena, the seamstress from the city is found in the Erinin," several Greens nod their heads at that, "and only precious days ago was Jessalyn taken from us."

Wynn nods as she listens, making mental notes, her mood slowly darkening the way it usually does when she gets serious.

Tsuiko nods and continues to listen to the woman... she begins to write the notes.

"And what has been uncovered? Precious little. The deviant has yet to be caught, and the students are up in frenzy with the rumors that circle through the Tower like vultures." Erina glances out into the crowd, as though looking for one or two Sisters in particular. "We know that all three were women, and all were hung. By the same," her lips twist in disgust, "stole."

Lynna comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Lynna has arrived.

Lynna quietly sweeps into the lounge, thoughtfully quiet. The Assistant Mistress of Novices stays off to the side at first, getting a feel for what's going on so far.

On her way through the room, Novice Qiani pauses by Lynna, holding up the tray upon which sits steaming cups of tea in silent offering.

Devon watches silently, glancing over towards Tsuiko at times, her green eyes dark with focus. However, she listens attentively, tapping her fingers against the sleeve of her dress.

Tsuiko motions over Qiani for some tea before she sighs and murmurs to Wynn.. "I saw her hands.."

Slowly, as Erina speaks, several Sisters become perturbed. Sisters begin fidgeting, a few take to looking around the room, as if they all have some idea where the discussion may turn.

Sionil listens to the conversations going on, refraining from comment for the time being

Lynna quietly accepts a cup of tea from Qiani with a nod, and a brief softening of her features into a smile. The smile is short-lived, particularly given the shift in the mood of the room.

Wynn looks a little confused as she listens to Erina and then the comments from Tsuiko. She blinks for a moment, though she does give Qiani a warm smile as she goes by.

Devon shakes her head at the offer of tea, although she attempts a smile for the novice. It isn't her fault that the Aes Sedai are in this situation.

Qiani offers a shy smile to Lynna in return, but moves off again quickly as she catches Tsuiko's wave to take her tray over toward where the Brown sits by Wynn.

Tsuiko takes a cup and offers a smile to Qiani. "Thank you very much, young one." She says, nodding her head to Qiani.

Wynn just smiles again to Qiani and then turns her attention back to the room at general.

Erina nods her head as though in confirmation. "The Tower does not abide such acts. Murder can never be tolerated. However, without sufficient leads, where are we to look. Are we to give credence to every filthy suggestion made by those who don't know any better?"

Qiani's large brown eyes widen slightly at Tsuiko's words, and she seems to try to curtsey before she remembers the tray in her hands. Blushing faintly, she bobs a little no-handed curtsey and casts a small smile to Tsuiko and Wynn before moving on to offer tea to the others assembled.

Lynna sniffs softly at Erina's "suggestion", before taking a sip from the hot tea. She slowly walks, making her way toward Sionil, but in no distinct hurry.

Tsuiko looks over at Qiani and watches the girl for a few moments before she turns back to watch Erina's speech. She continues to make notes as she sips her tea.

Sionil glances at Lynna as she notices her fellow gray approaching, then turns back to Erina at the front.

Devon's lips slowly begin to thin as she watches the woman addressing the group. She remembered Erina as an Accepted, always did what it took to be looked highly upon by the Aes Sedai. It didn't look as though much had changed.

Tsuiko looks over at Qiani and motions her over once again.. She takes another sip to of her tea.

Erina continues walking back and forth between the group, staring as many Sisters dead in the eye as she can. Boldness isn't always something to be rewarded, however. Several Sisters look less than pleased with this meeting, and the number slowly grows. "We must stop this murderer before they strike again. The Tower has always been strong...against injustice," she adds, looking directly at several of the Blue Sisters in the process.

A few more cups handed out, a few more cups refused... Qiani eyes the two cups remaining on her tray thoughtfully as she makes her way back toward the door. However, Tsuiko's gesture catches her attention once more and she alters her course to take her again toward the Brown.

Lynna crinkles her nose at Erina's dramatics. This is one Sister who isn't entirely pleased at the scenario playing out. She stops beside Sionil, saying nothing, for now.

Sionil just calmly waits for the monologue to play out.

Wynn sighs a little as she listens, a lot on her mind, more than just this discussion.

Tsuiko nods at Qiani and smiles to her.. "Can you get me some paper over to the other side." She says, sighing softly as she hears the young Sedai.. "If you'd please?"

Devon gives up all pretenses of calm, and openly glares at the woman. Her lips are pursed in anger, and her slippered foot taps rhythmically against the stone in the room.

Qiani nods quickly, looking somewhat nervous amidst the growing tension in the room. Like a sheep in a wolf's den, this little lamb is. Setting her tray down momentarily, she fetches Tsuiko a few more sheets of parchment for her notes.

Saevyna has connected.

Erina nods her head, growing more and more puffed up with her own importance. "But what is the desire of this murdered? Three seperate murders, all seem to be without tie to one another. A Sister of the Green Ajah, a novice, and a seamstress," somehow, she manages to make 'seamstress' sound like a lower class.

Wynn listens curiously and blinks a little, as if something occured to her. She looks around the room, possibly looking for reactions amongst everyone else.

Lynna rolls her eyes very slightly - entertaining the idea of perhaps trying to take Erina down a notch, but deciding that someone else will likely take care of that. Not that the points being raised aren't necessarily valid.

Tsuiko frowns a bit at Erina and snorts. "Since we don't have any information on the murderer, or any definative motive.. it's hard to predict who they will strike next." She comments out loud.

Devon nods slightly, glancing over at Tsuiko. However, she remains silent, being the excellent role model Blue that she can. For now.

Erina blinks at Tsuiko, her jaw opening and closing several times, face crimson with anger. The young Yellow glances around the room, and perhaps begins to realize that the Sisters assembled aren't hanging on her every word, as she perhaps hoped. "We...We know who has been killed, there has to be a reason for it. They wouldn't go to the trouble of concealing themselves if they wanted to kill randomly." She licks her lips, looking around. For support perhaps?

Wynn shakes her head a little, finally speaking, and doing it firmly in a voice one would expect from a prosecutor, "No one said that they were not connected."

Raemira comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Raemira has arrived.

Lynna somehow manages to not look satisfied at Erina's reaction. "What we do know is very little," she says, giving some support. "The only link among the victims that we know about is that the Novice was working with the seamstress. Unless someone else has information I have not been made aware of, we have little more than speculation from there."

Sionil watches Wynn who does work for Sionil ;)

Alisa comes in through a plainly decorated archway, leaving behind the Common Wing. Alisa has arrived.

Tsuiko shakes her head back and forth. "I hate to contradict that. I've seen many kill for the pure pleasure of it.. Some hate women... I did say that I believe we have a motive.." She says, frowning sharply.. "What we do know is something I'd rather speak with mother with before divulging anything."

Managing to make her way through the door is a woman wearing the 'real' fringed stole of the Amyrlin Seat. There isn't a very pleasant look on her features as she comes striding through, with a purpose to her steps. Her eyes immediately spot Lynna, narrowing on the Sister who earlier informed her of this particular event. Amyrlin's work, until now, has kept Raemira away.

Wynn does rise to her feet as Raemira comes in, watching her closely, holding back what she was about to say. Devon rises to her feet as well, sporting a triumphant look towards Erina. Finally, someone was going to take this meeting in hand, and stop the nonsense.

Saevyna makes her way into the room in near silence, the hem of her dress held from the ground lest she or another Sister packed into the room step upon it. Peeking from beneath are a pair of dainty slippers of a gray-coloured material, which match her gown, which a pale hue of rose. Holding near the back of the audience, she cranes her neck and turns her head about in order to get her bearings.

Picking up her tray after returning to Tsuiko with more paper, Qiani turns as the door opens and almost trips over her own feet as the Amyrlin enters on the heels of two more Sisters. Recovering quickly, she moves forward to offer tea to those newly arrived, dipping a less than graceful no-handed curtsey.

Sionil hearing the heads turn and the chairs move as many Sedai rise up and curtsey to the Amyrlin Seat, does so herself before returning back to her seat.

Lynna shifts her attention doorward just as others do, and curtsies as well, giving no reaction out of the ordinary.

Erina continues her looks around the room, until she notices the opening doors and the entrance of the Amyrlin. Her skin pales even more, and she curtsies to Raemira, slipping back into Accepted mode, or perhaps hoping her penance be not too serious.

Alisa enters the room quietly her arm still in the sling and the bruise that once adorned her cheek has now healed completely. She makes her way quickly to sit with her ajah sisters.

Alisa enters the room quietly her arm still in the sling and the bruise that once adorned her cheek has now healed completely. She makes her way quickly to sit with her ajah sisters.

Tsuiko does curtsy to mother as she enters before she sits.

Wynn curtseies and remains standing, mainly because it is hard to see if she were to sit down at the moment.

Devon curtsies as well, watching Raemira with calm eyes. The young Blue sighs slightly, dark circles still holding sway underneath her eyes.

The Amyrlin Seat takes several moments to peruse the room, making a show of taking her time to look at each and every face that might be visible to her. Some might say that this former Blue Sister is memorizing which Sisters attended this particular event. "Light shine upon you this evening, Daughters." A casually cool brow lifts inquisitively as she speaks the term 'Daughters'. That such an event would go on without her hearing is likely unheard of. "Please, carry on." The words are followed through with a brief flicker of her hand, before she turns to Qiani, and only then, allows a smile to briefly grace her lips as she takes a cup of tea from the Novice.

Lynna smiles faintly now, glad that the Amyrlin showed up to this. "As I was saying, Sisters," she repeats, "do we know anything else definitive?"

Saevyna sweeps her eyes over the Sisters gathered at the meeting, particularly the Amyrlin. With her hands folded in front of her, she idly spins the golden Great Serpent ring between her fingers, almost as a reminder of who and what she is. She turns an ear towards each woman who speaks, as she quietly melts into the wood-work.

Erina slowly nods, licking her lips again. "R-right. We-we know that the seamstress, Feena, oversaw the girl several times during the week. Jessalyn had been working for Feena for several months now. But that still leaves no tie between Meggera, and the other t-two." Aes Sedai do not sweat, but Erina is sweating now. All eyes are on her, and she seems to know it. A faint dull red spreads up her necks and over her cheeks. She nods slightly to Lynna, as though the Grey were speaking to her. "All were hung. With the s-same...uhm, instrument." Erina spine seems to have left the room the moment Raemira opened the doors.

The little lamb looks as though she cannot decide whether to be afraid or awed... in truth, she is a little of both. After all, this is the most powerful woman in the world, standing not 3 feet away from her. Qiani curtsies again in that awkward way of hers, stepping aside once Raemira has taken her tea. She offers the last cup to Saevyna, since she's nearby.

Tsuiko looks over at Lynna and nods her head as she turns to speak to Raemira. "Mother." She pauses. "Each of the women were hung with a stole in mockery of your own..sewn with black in them. It is known that the seamstress sewn these and Jessalyn helped her. So both were perhaps killed because they had intereaction with the murderer." She says, allowing for a deep sigh. She looks to Devon and nods. "Sisters, please do not let this go out of this room.." She says.. "I have the Talent recalling. The hands I saw were hands of a Sedai."

Saevyna appears startled at the arrival of the Novice by her side, as is evident by the brief shaking of her head. Composing herself, it is not long before her features look to have been sculpted from ice. However, she is not so devoid of emotion that she cannot offer the Novice a warm smile as she politely declines the offer of tea.

While the Amyrlin does have a reputation for being cloistered in her rooms all too much, she's also rumored to be a formidible woman when there's need - that much discovered during her term as the Advisor to King Alisar of Altara, prior to her rise to the Seat. Stepping further into the room, Raemira lifts a brow at Tsuiko as she speaks, "Are we positive that the seamstress and the child had something to do with the sewing of the stoles? Are the threads used of common variety or of a more... pristine nature?"

Wynn lowers herself back down to her seat as she listens to the last two remarks, going over them in her head.

Lynna seems about to say something more, when Tsuiko's words bring her own to a stop. The Assistant Mistress of Novices now purses her lips, thoughtfully.

Sionil waits for an answer from Tsuiko

Devon shakes her head. "No mother, it is merely supposition. Although there seems to be a connection between Feena's murder, and Jessalyn's. While Meggera died nearly three months ago, Feena and Jessalyn were both murdered within the span of a week."

Tsuiko sighs softly and moves away from Wynn, but not before smiling at the other Sedai. "My talent, as you know Mother." Tsuiko explains for the rest in the room.. "Alows me to see the past of any item." She looks to Devon and frowns. "I saw the seamsterss sew the stole..and I saw Jessalyn's death...and I saw the murderers hands."

Alisa glances around the room then looks down at her nails suddenly appalled at the blood she failed to clean from under her ragged nails. A good thing she is not a green she thinks they would probably cast me from the ajah for inproper fashions. Then remembering why she is hear she looks up and focuses her attention back at the current speaker.

Raemira nods her head thoughtfully a moment, then looks to Qiani, "Child, I need you to fetch something for me from my chambers." Without saying another word to the other Aes Sedai, she addresses the Novice directly. "Can you do that for me?"

Sionil speaks out "So you have a motive for two of the murders, the two knew too much, and the means are not difficult to determine. But We still have no motive for Meggara's murder. If that were discovered then it would gain much incite for this case." Sionil says as if she were in the court.

Devon nods her head, glancing over at Tsuiko. "Sisters, Mother, Tsuiko and I were the ones who discovered Jessalyn in the second level basement. We realized there was a connection then, and we came to the conclusion that Meggera's murder holds the key. If we knew what caused the murderer to kill an Aes Sedai," she fails to mention the fact that an Aes Sedai should be difficult to kill, "then perhaps we would know enough to understand the motive. And why the murders are being done...in this fashion."

Wynn is listening to every word and seems to be concentrating as if maybe working something out in her head. Qiani looks to the Amyrlin as her attention is caught, she quick to nod but otherwise remaining silent. After all, she's not been given leave to speak yet. Moving a ltitle closer to Raemira, she awaits instruction, only managing to stand still with effort and she offers a shy smile.

Saevyna rests silently against the wall, her left arm shifting to cross over her waist. The corners of her mouth twitch as though she is about to say something, but she is not long in restraining the motion.

Lynna nods her agreement with Sionil - unsurprisingly of a like mind to her Ajah-sister. "If I remember the reports of the Yellow Ajah properly," she replies to Devon, "the One Power was used on Meggara Sedai in large amounts. A channeler had to be involved somehow." She frowns, not liking her own explanation.

Tsuiko takes a deep breath as she looks to Raemira. "Mother, is there any rival to your position that is still in the Tower?" She seems convinced this is the way to look. A look towards Lynna. "The murderer is a Sedai.." She says, frowning sharply.

Saevyna casts a glance towards the Brown as the makes the inquiry of the Amyrlin, her eyebrow half-quirked upon her forehead. Her lips part faintly, and any near her would hear something of a mumble, but nothing more.

Alisa leans forward a bit after her ajah was mentioned but seeing it was a passing remark then sits back into ther chair calmly watching the preceeding with a good deal of care now.

Raemira nods faintly to what Devon states, giving the Sister her full attention when she speaks. Yet, when she's finished, she turns directly back to Qiani, She mutters to Qiani, "... in... the... desk.... bring... here."

Several Sisters sway as the conversation turn to suggestions that a channeler was involved. A few look ready to sick up on the spot, but don't thankfully, while others seem offended and angry by the suggestion. However, almost all remain silent, for now.

Raemira glances more steadily on Tsuiko now, an amused brow lifting now. "There are many rivals to my position Tsuiko. Members of the Brown, White, and Red Ajahs opposed my seating." She lets that settle in, and by happenstance picks out a few such members without even thinking about it, though giving no indication if they were a part of her opposition or not.

Qiani's eyes widen a fraction, but she nods quickly and turns to hurry from the room, still carrying her tray. Moments later, she is gone from sight.

Sionil shakes her head and adds to Raemira's response "Sister, remember there are rivals for any position of power, be it as small as a town mayor to as great as the King of a nation."

Wynn nods making mental notes as she listens. She still remains silent, looking around the room at the faces looking for reactions to what is being said.

Alisa reaches into her satchel and rumages around with her good hand then pulls out a journal sized book. Placing it on her lap she begins to flip through the pages quickly as if looking for something in particular.

Lynna mmms softly. "All it would take would be someone who wants to besmirch the name and reputation of the Tower - it does not need to be a personal rival to Mother." She frowns, thoughtfully.

Tsuiko nods.. "Yes, but why the use of mimic of Mother's stole.. There has to be a reason for that.."

Sionil urms to Lynna slightly and murmurs softly to her fellow gray "and how many people out there would like that? There's the whole of the Whitecloaks..."

It is not long before Qiani returns, cheeks flushed as though she has run all the way to Raemira's office and back. She carries carefully a bundle wrapped in plain brown paper and tied with a cord, quick steps taking her to Raemira's side once more to hold the bundle out in silent offering as she focuses her wide brown eyes on the Amyrlin's face... and then lowers them quickly, as though remembering her place.

Saevyna presses her lips together, her eyes shifting towards her lap where her hand is splayed out before her. Idly picking at her nails, she states smoothly, "The general consensus seems to be that the murderer was a single person, yet, there is no evidence that points as such. As there is no evidence that the same person committed each of the murders." Her words come as matter-of-factly, and when she finishes, she merely glances up for a moment, her cheeks colouring as though in shock that she had spoken.

Lynna mms softly to Sionil and nods. "My point exactly, Sister," she replies. Her eyes follow Qiani's return, noting the package in the Novice's hands.

Sionil glances over at Saevyna briefly considering the words... a conspiracy against the Amyrlin... possible... but how probable?

"Children of the Light do not have ready access to the White Tower, much less Tar Valon." Raemira's voice hardens slightly, "Remember, Daughter, their tresspasses have not been forgiven." The Children had summarily executed a man who attempted to assassinate the former Queen of Cairhien. She turns just in time to notice Qiani entering into the room, then takes the bundle from her. She smiles and offers a murmured thanks to the girl and then turns toward Tsuiko, walking toward her. "Tell us what you can find out about this." She does not open the package, just hands it to the other Sedai.

Tapping a finger on a page of the book she speaks "Besides the channeling on the body what other evidence do we have that points to an aes sedai doing the deed? And about the murderers hand how good a look did you get of them?"

Tsuiko reaches out for the package and nods, swallowing. She sits the package down and takes her gloves off, before putting her ring back on her fingers. An odd custom for this young Sedai. She undoes the pacakge and pulls out another stole like the others. She embraces and channels a complex weave of her Talent into the stole..each item different in how she approaches the channeling of it. Her eyes go blank as she focuses on the item

Once the package has changed hands, Qiani curtsies once more.. this time with the luxury of having both hands at her disposal. Her task accomplished, she turns to move toward the door once more. Where -did- she leave her tray, anyhow? Right now, she's having trouble remembering.

Sionil remains silent as Tsuiko channels

Lynna smiles in satisfaction - perhaps this will shed some more light on the matter, distasteful as it may be.

Saevyna leans out from her perch against the wall, and cranes her head upwards as she senses Tsuiko surrender herself to the source. The corners of her mouth tug inwards, and she narrows her eyes momentarily, before shifting her weight to re-assume her previous position. Noticing the Novice experiencing difficulties, she offers the girl a comforting smile, before turning her attention back to the proceedings.

Devon nods silently, watching Tsuiko with calm eyes, if focused. A useful Talent, Recalling. At least more so in this situation than her own.

Tsuiko winces and nearly falls to her knees... She falls back against the table, tears brimming into her eyes and spills down her cheeks quickly.. "Yes.. Feena sewn the stole.. Meggera was hit in the face.. her nose bloody..she." A swallow. "She was drug by the power.." A look to Raemira. "Mother, where is Meggera's dress? Perhaps something can tell me.." She says, trying to regain herself.

Sionil sits up interestedly and looks towards the pair doing all the speaking

Wynn winces a little as she watches Tsuiko a bit of concern on her face, but she remains sitting though a bit fidgety.

Devon reaches out to steady Tsuiko, putting a hand on her shoulder. Visions like that could be horrible, she'd had some knowledge of the pain. She remains quiet, seeing fit to let the others deal as they will.

Lynna's smile disappears at Tsuiko's reaction. She says nothing, pondering.

Alisa has no reaction to Tsuiko's distress her face the serene lake of Aes sedai calm.

Sighing deeply, Raemira shakes her head, "The clothing she was wearing was burned, during her funeral pyre. We no longer have them readily available." A hardness comes to her eyes as she speaks those words. Blast! Had they known, or even considered before, this could have been prevented to come this far.

Saevyna makes no visible reaction to Tsuiko's reaction, all in all, she seems to have been more concerned for the Novice missing her serving tray.

Tsuiko reaches up and pats Devon's hand softly as she nods.. "The woman who has killed all three was very strong with air...exceptionally strong." A blink as she feels the channeling.. "Something's going on downstairs!"

Wynn blinks and rises to her feet, looking around suddenly, looking confused. She looks at Tsuiko for a moment and blanches a little and then at the floor.

Lynna widens her eyes at the feeling of that sensation. "What in the Light...?"

Sionil blinks and embraces to get a hightened sense of what might be occuring "Why aren't the alarms going off?"

Devon looks down at the floor below her. The Amyrlin is here, so that would mean there are no testings going on below. "Is there some sort of experiment in the basements?" she asks, considering.

Tsuiko blinks a few times as she looks at the Others..she begins to move towards the exit of the lounge.. "Come on Devon, I'm not going to this happen again!"

Saevyna gives a start as though the very wall she was leaning against had come to life, and she springs upright. She quickly composes herself, shifting her gaze over the gathering of Sisters. Looking down, it cannot be determinded if her attention is focused on the floor itself or her slippered feet.

Starting to say something to Tsuiko, Raemira's words cut off before they even get to form on her lips. She eyes the floor, a cold, wintry mask coming to her face. "More over, why would anyone be in the basements. No one has arranged to sign out any ter'angreal this day."

Sionil looks to Lynna "A circle might be appropriate, to investigate"

Wynn starts to move after Tsuiko, only going slowly because of those in front of her, not exactly that much room to move around.

Devon stands as well, although she waits for Raemira's lead before leaving the room.

Tsuiko looks over at the others and then to Mother.. She's very ansy at this.. she feels something's going on in her stomach.. "Mother if we do not move now, we may lose her." She moves back and reaches out for Wynn's hand.

Alisa sits up in her chair looking at those moving to the exit and wondering how much her injured arm will get jostled in the crowd.

Lynna shakes her head, frowning deeply. She nods to Sionil in agreement. "We need to find out what is going on, and if its as strong as it seems, a circle may be necessary." She shakes her head. "We should not rush ahead unawares, though."

"Hold!" Raemira calls out to Tsuiko, as she starts to rush out into the hall. "Wait a moment. Think with your head. Don't go rushing into anything blindly." She glances to Sionil, nodding her head. "I believe a circle of thirteen would be best, yes. No more than that, lest we upset whoever might be down there." She waits a moment, watching to see how others react to that, and her command.

Saevyna shakes her head, calling out smoothly, "A circle may not be wise, Sisters. The power of many with the weavings of one may hinder us more than provide an edge." Her previous nervousness is gone, the hem of her skirt held ready in her hand should she need to move quickly.

Devon nods slightly, reaching out to hold Tsuiko by the arm, in the event the Recalling unbalances her. "Enough for a circle. But if we link now, whoever it is will know what is happening even before we get to the first basement, let alone whereever they are.

Lynna nods her head toward the Amyrlin. "As you command, Mother." Ever the proper Shienaran. She looks about at the others, waiting for Raemira to choose who will go - and, possibly, who will lead.

Wynn takes Tsuiko's hand and looks at those speaking and nods reassuringly to her though she does not smile, a grim expression on her face.

Sionil glances around at the numbers of sisters here "This meeting was not exactly hidden from anyone. The woman down there knows we are here and is flaunting it. Arguing here only lets the woman get away."

Alisa says cooly "The least dangerous weapon is the most obvious."

Raemira shoots a glance over at Saevyna, "So what do you propose, and keep in mind that time abates here. If this is more than what it appears, we'll want to limit how many go down there." She glances at the room, "Only a small fraction of you may go." This, she addresses to the many, many Aes Sedai crowded into the room.

Tsuiko hugs against Devon and squeezes Wynn's hand tightly before she looks to Raemira. She nods to Devon's words before she nods to Raemira. "Who should go, mother?"

Devon glances around. There's a fair gap between the Sisters near the door, and many of the others. "There looks to be enough of us here, Mother," she gestures around to those closest to the door. "Regardless of who it is, the thirteen of us can stand against her. No wards are broken, which means she cannot have access to the vaults." Or the angreal. Unless the channeler possesses one the Tower doesn't know about.

Raemira nods her head a bit, "Those closest to the door, and Palcora." Who is a gangly Gray not too far off, to complete the circle of thirteen, which seems to include Raemira herself as she walks toward the door.

Tsuiko follows along after Raemira..with Devon and Wynn next to her.. "We have to stop this.." SHe says, nodding grimly

Lynna nods once, saying nothing. The time for talking is done, as far as she's concerned - now it's the time for action. She follows the Amyrlin silently.

Saevyna gives ground under the Amyrlin's glance, her pale cheeks colouring. However, when she speaks, her words come smooth and steady, "The basements are a mesh of catacombs at best, and even sensing the use of the Power may not be enough to guide us towards our target. To rely on a single woman to channel the power for many would put the Sisters involved in great danger, should they be taken by surprised. Keep my early words in mind -- we do not know what we face, there may be more than one perpetrator."

Wynn moves along, still holding Tsuiko's hand, almost being dragged, though she isn't exactly balking at going.

Sionil moves towards the doorway and says to Saevyna "Sister, if you feel necessary. gather other sisters to guard the exits."

Alisa adds confidently "Every good trap needs equally good bait." Though she does get up to follow

Not waiting for any further chatter or protest, Raemira nods to the others to go through the door, and moves through herself.

*** The Sedai head down into the second level basement.***

It's a long hall. However, lit torches line the walls, and in recent days, the entire hallway has been scrubbed clean. Yes, for those who would know, this is the exact hall where Jessalyn was found murdered one week ago. In that time, with all the commotion on this floor, there has been a lot of cleaning. All heavily supervised, of course. But now, the sentries posted as a precaution have gone back to other duties, and the hall is again vacant. The feel of channeling is stronger now, and its coming from further down the hall. Behind one of the doors, in fact. Behind the door to the same room where Jessalyn was murdered.

Tsuiko frowns as she looks over at th e other sedai. She reaches out and hugs against Devon and squeeze Wynn's hand tighter..

Lynna walks along the hallway slowly with the group of Sisters. She doesn't hold the Source yet, even though she wants to - but to do so might tip someone off too early. Her face is fixed into a serious expression normally reserved for recalcitrant Novices - only a few degrees more stern.

Saevyna hangs almost reluctantly near the end of the group. The hem of her dress is held in her hand to prevent it from dragging across the dusty floor, her slippered-feet tracing silent footfalls across the floor. Her eyes burn with an intensity of icy-fire, moving about slowly, in order to absorb everything.

Sionil moves along, near the front of the group, having had her own experiences down here as an accepted.

Moving to the front, seeing that most are hesitant to even go this far, Raemira takes charge of the situation. She glances over her shoulders to see who is nearby, then speaks quietly, though loudly enough for the others to hear, "When I open the door, be prepared, if thats to link or react singularly, or whatever. Groups of even three or four over thirteen would work as well." With that said and done, she pulls the handle of the door and starts to make her way into the room, carefully, before anyone can protest too loudly about it.

Alisa walks along following the line of her sisters, though she is acting like it is as pleasant walk rather than a march into possible battle. Looking around she makes a mental note to mention to the Mistress of novices that having the Hall here lined with lightballs would be a good punishment.

Wynn moves along with Tsuiko and the others still holding her hand, but ready to react at a moments notice if need be.

Sionil gives a nod and glances about to the others to make sure they are ready

Zicara's skirts have not even stopped moving as the door opens, she having turned to face the door moments before. Behind her, Rhynne looks to be 'hanging' from the stone wall somehow, wriggling and writhing and trying to cry out though only a muffled sound issues forth thanks to the Air the gags her. The ancient Gray's features are difficult to make out from across the room, but weaves of fire and air hang ready... but are not yet unleashed. Her head tilted oddly, Zicara's glassy eyes glint in the low light as she gazes across the room... she seems to be waiting for something. Did she not see the door open, for some reason? Dispite the fact that she is looking right at it?

Instinctively, Raemira steps further into the room, but only enough for one or two more to get a full glimpse of the scene. More concerned about Rhynne then herself, Saidar erupts about her and she flings a bridge of air beneath

Rhynne's feet, anchoring it to the floor, or rather attempting to, so the girl has something to stand on rather than struggling against the pull of the stole.

Devon stands behind Tsuiko, blinking at the occupant of the room. "Zicara," she whispers, her voice in shock. Light, the Grey had taught her Law during her novice years.

Lynna is close to the front, but not close enough to see around the Amyrlin, yet. However, once Raemira embraces, Lynna holds herself ready to link - she's not one of the stronger Sedai here, and considers herself better off helping another, stronger Sedai.

Sionil glancing in behind Raemira grows cold... colder then the way she looked when she had to remove Thais from the tower as Mistress of Novices... the sight of her own Ajah Sister harming a student, only her years of discipline keep her restrained from striking out at the woman

Tsuiko stands before Devon.. "You.." Her voice rumbes as well as she lashes out with fire to try and cut the choking stole. Her eyes glint dangerously at the Gray.. "You will die..."

Instinctively, Raemira steps further into the room, but only enough for one or two more to get a full glimpse of the scene. More concerned about Rhynne then herself, Saidar erupts about her, and tendrils of fire and air shoot off at the manacles, in an attempt to weaken and destroy them, without also harming Rhynne any further.

Sionil taking Lynna in a link moves into the room behind Raemira and strikes at Zicara moving a shield of spirit towards her now former 'sister'

Moments after the words are spoken, Zicara seems to finally notice that others have entered. The Gray releases the weaves she had held ready, even as the others begin to move into the room as well. "Thirsty..." she murmurs, still embraced to the hilt and glowing brightly with the Power. The ancient gray licks her lips, and as the 'reinforcements' advance they might note moisture glistening on her brow. She is acting oddly, giving a small start only -after- Raemira's weave strikes its target. The stone the holds Rhynne holds up, but barely. "Stop..." she says, lifting a hand.. but the movement is slow. Sluggish. And in that hand, as attention is drawn to it, can be seen one of those mocking striped stoles. Her glassy eyes flick to the stole as though she had forgotten it was there, and she shakes her head in an attempt to clear it, Sionil's words sparking a slight widening of her eyes. Are they all in on it with the girl? Defensive weaves begin to form as she backs away..

Wynn is near the front but still outside the room. She does embrace and gathers flows of air, but does not create any weaves as of yet. She has let go of Tsuiko's hand and tries to focus on what she can see.

Rhynne mmmms as loudly as she can through that gag, her wide eyes going from one Sedai to the next. Light, who can she trust? But they seem to be trying to fight against Zicara, anyway..

Saevyna hangs near the back of the group, in fact, there is a gap between herself and the Sisters at the door. She takes a few steps closer, but even with those, she is well out of reach of the entry way to the room. Craning her head to look down the length of the hallway, she notes that the only Aes Sedai behind her is a short Yellow, Alisa.

Raemira's eyes widen a bit as she glances between Zicara and Rhynne, "There will be no killing." Her voice is firm, "A trial must be had." After having her peace said, she looks to Zicara, "What is the meaning of this?" While she moves even further into the room, she doesn't let go of the source, and yet she doesn't make another attemp to aid Rhynne now. Likely, she's going to ask Micana to set her a pennance for reacting without thinking first.

Alisa is at the back so can not see much at all as the giants infront of her obscure her line of sight.

Sionil moves aside from the entrance to allow more of the Sisters in but still concentrates upon putting a shield on Zicara's ability, trying to weave around the defences that the Gray is doing, not hearing the Amyrlin's words just yet, her reaction taking precedence.

Devon falls behind Tsuiko, hand still on the other woman's shoulder. Perhaps things were /not/ what was assumed. She stands, waiting to see what will happen next.

Wynn is able to slip inside now that Sionil is out of the way and moves to the other side of the entrance, watching, ready to join her flows of air into a weave if need be.

Lynna moves closer to the door, off to the side to keep from blocking others' sight into the room, and letting her Power flow through her to aid Sionil's weaves. She merely focuses her eyes on Zicara - whatever's going through her mind, she says none of it.

Tsuiko nods to Raemira and moves touches Devon's shoulder.. "Please stay here.." She says, before she turns and does the same to Wynn. She moves towards, trying to send a shield towards Zicara..

Alisa looks off to the side studying the halway walls then looking up at the ceiling before checking behind, quite content to stay right where she is. SHe decides reluctantly that the situation call for her to grasp and so she reaches out for the one thing she loves most of all and feels her lovers embrace as saidar floods into her body.

Raemira's question seems to be more that of a person inquiring upon a scene where a child has stolen candy from the candy jar, demanding rather than accusing. She waits for Zicara to give her an answer, even as the others file in behind her. She chooses a moment to turn her attention away from the other woman to look at those who've entered. She casts a frown at those working weaves without actual 'just' evidence that Zicara was doing anything more than interrogating Rhynne on her own findings :)

Zicara retracts the hand she had held out, gripping the stole in both hands such that her knuckles soon turn white. She maintains her connection with Saidar dispite Sionil's attempts at shielding her, likely due to the fact that she is embraced almost to the point of burnout.. and for one of her strength that is nothing to scoff at. Perhaps Tsuiko may fare better. Zicara's eyes flick between the Sisters crowding the door, she wetting her lips once more before speaking, "Best for you to kill me.. if you do not, I will expose you all..." her gaze comes to rest on Raemira, and she looks down to the stole in her hands as though disgusted. "I should have known." she murmurs, licking her lips once more. Raemira's question finally sinks in, and she replies as she attempts to slice Tsuiko's shielding weave with a blade of Spirit, "Is it not obvious, -Mother-?" there is some contempt in that word.. as though she thinks Raemira unworthy of the title, "I found your little rat poking where she shouldn't be."

Saevyna has not yet surrendered to the source, and instead of following the rest of the Sisters into the confined quarters of the room, she holds her position in the hallway. With almost casual glances towards the door, she moistens her lips with her tongue and reaches her hand upwards to tuck a deviating strand of hair behind her ear.

Devon blinks, suddenly growing still. Through the events of the day, her elegant bun has come somewhat undone, stray hairs whisping against the nape of her neck. She looks from Zicara, to Rhynne, to the group surrounding her. Bloody hell, who was trustworthy?

Lynna purses her lips. Something isn't right here, beyond the obvious - and this is one knot that won't likely be easily unraveled.

"Whyfore would we want to kill you, as there's no reason for us to do so, Daughter?" Unlike Zicara's contempt, there's only a sense of confusion to Raemira's words. She's trying to rationalize things now, unlike her earlier hasty actions. She glances to Rhynne once more, then back to the Gray Sister and the stole. "I'm sure, however, that everyone here would like to know just where you got that stole."

Wynn blinks as well, looking from the young one up on the wall, to Zicara, to Raemira, slight frown on her lips, her flows are still at hold, the source embraced deeply, waiting.

Rhynne's eyes darken and she just glares at Zicara for her feigned innocence. A pleading look goes to the Amyrlin and she violently shakes her head, then nods it, still bound so she cannot point to her gag, merely emit from her throat.

Sionil feeling the doubt from Lynna through the link pauses the attempted shielding enough for the woman to answer Tsuiko moves up and reaches towards Rhynne's lips and pulls the gag out...still she continues to push the shiled against the weave, blasting through the knife and going towards it.. "Speak Rhynne.."

Alisa quickly forms the tiny flow of fire then curling it into a tiny ball till its luminescence becomes visibly. Tieing the flow off she then uses a flow of air to hold it up against the ceiling keeping it inplace with a spider like structure of air which she also ties off.

Devon tightens her grip on Tsuiko's shoulder. "Enough. Let her speak," she says in reference to the channeling, and across the room to Zicara.

Where there was moisture upon Zicara's forehead there are now beads of sweat. The additional illumination that Alisa provides reveals Zicara to be somewhat pale, her eyes definitely glassy. She looks.. unwell, at least to the Yellows among you. Her brow furrows with apparent confusion, she turning her head to frown up at Rhynne for a moment before her gaze returns to the sisters across the way. "So thirsty.." she murmurs, almost under her breath. "Where I got it?" she asks, swinging from confusion to incredulty rapidly. "It was you that put her here, to trap me!" She coughs, once or twice.

Tsuiko blinks a few times and looks between Raemira and Zicana... She pauses the shield.. before she turns to look at Rhynne.. "Rhynne's the darkfriend?" She blinks and looks back to Zicara.

Lynna frowns now, slipping through the doorway now that she doesn't expect a mad rush. "Let us not jump to any conclusions yet, Sisters," she cautions. "Not until we have a better idea of what we have here."

Sionil finally speaks tho her words are still in a cold manner "Trap you how. A novice trap a sister. quite unlikely. Explain yourself." Sio is Zicara's Sitter after all

"I asked about the stole, not Rhynne. Do not change the subject or the words asked." Raemira advanecs about, starting to form flows of spirit weaves herself. She is strong in the power, stronger than even Zicara, and twice or thrice times over in Spirit than the woman. There is no doubt what the Amyrlin means to do, the woman is a floating bomb, and if she can't be shut off she'll destroy everyone in the basement. "And Rhynne was not sent down here by anyone. However, if you think me the perpetrator in all this, why not give the stole to Tsuiko to 'Recall' and then we'll get down to the truth of the matter." She continues to advance, getting closer and holding out her hand to take the stole.

Devon sees Zicara, and the sweat on her brow. The woman looks...unwell. "She's sick," Devon looks around for a Sister of the Yellow. "Bloody hell," she mutters to herself, and at the rest of the Sisters. In particular, Sionil and Raemira. Both prepared to channel...but was it against a Darkfriend? Or was the Grey Sister innocent? Devon leans herself against the wall, her breathing shallow. Bloody hell.

Saevyna still clings to the hallway outside the room, licking her lips almost nervously every so often. Even as of now, she has yet to surrender herself to the sweet flood that is saidar.

Wynn takes this opportunity to pull on the flows of air she has been gathering and weaves them into an edge to cut through the weave that gags Rhynne preparing to send it to free the girl's mouth.

Zicara backs away as Raemira advances, soon bumping into Rhynne as the Novice continues to dangle. She shakes her head again, as though to clear it, forming weaves of Air intended to push the Amyrlin back as Raemira forms her flow of Spirit for shielding.. fighting back with -her- strength. Or one of them, anyway. "You'll not take me! If I die, you'll all come with me... the Tower will be cleansed!" The glow pulses around her as she manages to take in just a little more of the Power, trembling where she stands and looking to have difficulty drawing breath...

Alisa is still out in the hallway knowing there is conversation going in the room but the echoing effect of the hallway makes it quite hard to determine what is being said. Though the area of the hallway she is in is not brightly lit with few shadows to speak of.

Sionil blinks at the actions Zicara is performing and once again moves her own shield (made with hers and Lynna's powers) at Zicara at the same time Raemira moves against her

Lynna widens her eyes slightly. "Peace," she murmurs. Of course, she is also still holding the Source, linked to Sionil. "Zicara, think about this - what you're trying will harm many innocents in addition to all of us." She narrows her eyes in concentration as Sionil draws on the Power, bringing her own comments to a stop. Slow steps bring her closer to her Ajah's Sitter.

The power of Zicara's weaving is enough to send Raemira reeling back a few steps and to stumble over her own feet and to the ground. She lands with an oomph, clearly surprised. Her shielding weaves dissipate, having never advanced them upon Zicara, in her surprise, however she clearly still holds the source. "Shield her. She's far too dangerous in her condition. If she takes in any more of the power, she may kill not only herself, but everyone in here." Tsuiko pushes her shiield fast and hard against Zicara..when she's not looking..at her... "Stop her.. hurry!"

Wynn blinks at seeing this happen and changes tactics, having the child able to speak means little if all die. She releases her flows and offers herself in link to Tsuiko to give her more strength.

Devon glances from Zicara to Sionil to Lynna to Tsuiko. Someone was...a darkfriend, all that and worse. But who. Were the Sisters too insistent on channeling against her? Did they have something to hide. Devon's eyes dart around the room, growing more and more wide. Bloody hell, all that desire to pursue the Black Ajah, and remove them, and this is the situation she finds herself in.

Saevyna turns her head towards the entrance to the room every so often, if only to cast a suspicous glance, or to try to form an impression over what is occuring after hearing some slurred words. Looking across the hall towards Alisa, she manages a weak smile for the woman, scratching the back of her calf with her opposite foot afterwards.

"You WILL NOT LIE!!" Rhynne's found her voice, once the gag has dissolved, and aims a swift kick for Zicara's head, since she cannot throttle the woman with her hands. "I'm innocent and you KNOW it, Zicara!" she trembles with rage.

Alisa thinking that to er on the side of caution is perhaps th best idea she forms a flow of air ready to make a wall of air. She is concerned with what is going on in the room but still confident the sisters into can meet the challenge though if such is not the case then the wall of air will serve to protect her at the least.

Tsuiko does link with Wynn and forces the shield further towards Zicara before she turns and fires another gag of air across Rhynne's mouth.. "Now's not the time!" SHe calls out, turning back to further the shiled... "Hurry Wynn.."

Zicara gives a small start at the sudden shout from behind her, beginning to whirl just in time for the Novice's foot to connect with her face. The Gray staggers backward, feet tangling in the trailing end of the stole she clutches in her hands. Zicana goes down with a groan, the glow around her winking out just in time for the shields to slam into place. There will be no more danger from this one, tonight.

Wynn draws to near her limit, which is a fair amount as she is quite a strong channeler and feeds it all into the link, letting Tsuiko control it, as her shield was already formed and ready to be strengtened, so that it can hold, one of two shields more than likely in place now.

Sionil sliding her shield in lets out a grunt and staggers back into Lynna weakly "By the light..."

Now pure confusion besets Raemira's features as Tsuiko sets a gag back onto Rhynne? Why was that done? The girl has every right to speak as the next person. Her brow creases thickly, as she attempts to right herself, making no further move to go toward Zicara. Perhaps her fall has addled her brain so much that she's not thinking clearly? Seeing that the others have Zicara now well in hand, a sigh escapes her. She looks to the Brown holding Rhynne, then states quietly, "Release her." She goes over to retrieve the stole from Zicara. Will the others trust the testimony of the recall? To Raemira, that one object is the only thing that will clear her own name and others of their actions this night.

Saevyna considers Alisa with an inquisitive glance as the woman readies a thread of Air, her eyes blinking behind her emotionless mask of serenity. Her hands travel to the skirt of her rose dress, where spread palms work to smoothing and straightening wrinkles.

Lynna lets out a breath of relief, but only has a split-second before she catches Sionil. "It's done, Sister. For the moment."

Tsuiko motions towards Rhynne.. "Shiled the novice, just in case.." She says to Wynn, tying off the shield. "Hurry Wynn!

Sionil regains her composure and retains the hold on the shield, sorry Lynna, then turns to Rhynne and then to Tsuiko "I will know what this child knows about _my_ ajah member."

On the floor, Zicara groans and presses a hand to her eye, which will likely be black and blue soon if not tended. The stole is easily taken from her grasp, though it must be tugged a bit to get it out from under her where she fell on it. She coughs again, struggling to push herself up into a sitting position and looking as though she might sick up.

Tsuiko looks over to Rynne and nods, letting her weaves fall away... "Yes, MOther.."

The stole, being Raemira's only real goal, not to kill Zicara, or see her harmed, or even to accuse her of anything, is taken from the woman with a few tugs. She is gentle about the whole thing, refraining from any unnecessary roughness until they discover just who is involved and what their loyalties are. She then takes the garmet over to Tsuiko, holding it out to her with a rather expectant look. "I believe you know what to do with this."

Lynna isn't complaining about the link. She lets Sionil up once her Sitter has her footing again. Silently, she looks back and forth between Rhynne and Zicara, then to the stole being handed to Tsuiko.

Devon stands, her face now a bright crimson, flush with anger. As always happens, a dark pink line becomes illuminated upon her left cheek, a remnant from a time before she came to the Tower, a scar faded so much that it only appeared when she was angry...or upset. Not much difficulty discerning which of the two it is this time. Her eyes narrow at Sionil, considering the woman once Mistress of Novices, and now a Sitter. A bloody Sitter. "I think this proves that none of us know who we can trust, and even if those we trust are deserving of it. There are 15 women in this hall, and the Light only knows where loyalties truly lie." Her voice is calm, and hard.

Rhynne sags in relief as she is freed, and rubs her arms. She shrinks away from that evil garment, shivering. "Get..it..away.." she gasps.

Wynn sways a little, as she lets her grip on the source release slightly, reducing how much she is holding after she is freed from her link. She watches at the moment.

Sionil looks to Rhynne "What do you know, Rhynne?"

Zicara coughs again, quietly, from the floor. Turning her head, she casts a rather baleful look in Rhynne's direction. Little rat, indeed. Shaking her head, she moves to sit against the wall, focusing on her breathing and attempting to salvage what little dignity she might have left. She still looks pale, watching the hubub as though dazed.

Lynna turns her attention to Devon, and nods. "You are quite correct, Sister. Only the Light knows - and, Light willing, we will have some questions answered here, or at least some direction." She slowly shakes her head. "Rather than more questions...."

Tsuiko reaches out and takes the stole.. "Yes Mother." She sighs and closes her eyes as she weaves into the stole..]

Saevyna casts an irritable glance down both lengths of the hallway, before giving a slight roll of her eyes and proceeding towards the door. Pausing just in front of it, she sweeps her eyes over the contents -- taking in everything from the people, to the contents, and the general assembly of the crowd. Both eyebrows quirk upon her forehead, and as she pulls away from the entry way to reclaim her previous position against the wall in the hallway, she is left appearing somewhat dizzy.

Tsuiko frowns and shakes her head back and forth.. "I can't tell.." She says, reaching out for Rhynne's dress.. "Let me seee the dresses... of them both Mother."

"I was..sent down here by Sorliela Sedai.." Rhynne supplies to Sionil, since she's the one who asked. "She wanted me to look up a document that the Grey Ajan had drafted..something about a treaty or something..and the next thing I know, /she/.." Zicara is pointed to "..comes into the room, throws boxes away from me and binds and gags me before I can even utter a word! Then..then she brought the stole..that evil one..one Angharad found? I was..there..I-it didn't touch me, thank the Light..you came." She collapses to the floor then and sobs.

Devon looks at Zicara, sweat still on her face. "Zicara looks sick, has anyone Delved her yet?" She glances around. One of the Sisters would have to be Yellow, wouldn't they? "Alisa?" she asks, spotting the girl near the hall, "Can you find out what's wrong with Zicara?"

Lynna frowns toward Rhynne thoughtfully. "Down here? There's little down here that any Aes Sedai should send a Novice to get - I would expect the Library to be more useful." She looks to Devon, and starts to say something, but there is a Yellow with them, so she changes her mind.

Raemira sighs deeply, shaking her head at Tsuiko, "I believe, while your Talent is useful, we've been relying on it far too heavily this night. I would hear what they both have to say for themselves before we continue onward." She does catch Devon's earlier words, and her current. Just as she was about to pipe up about her own talent, she stops, giving a small nod of approval to Alisa at Devon's request.

Sionil turns to Zicara and asks "Why did you follow her?" her tone changing back to that of one from her court. Granted Sio still is shielding Zicara ;)

Wynn releases the source now, sweating a bit herself and moving against one of the walls to steady herself. She leans against the wall and watches, looking a bit tired, but then again she always has put all of herself into her channeling and usually ends up exhausted.

Tsuiko collapses against Wynn and closes her eyes, trying to hold onto the other woman tightly.. "I.. I'm sorry mother.."

Zicara's glassy eyes stare off at nothing... which, coincidentally, is exactly what she says--nothing. There is no signal that she has even heard Sionil's words, not even a batting of an eyelash.

Alisa walks towards the entrance to the room surveying the carnage or lack there of. SHe strides quickly towards zicara then going to place her good hand upon the Zicara's shoulder she releases the flow of air then grabs a thick flow of spirit. Starting it at her feet them moving it up her body with well practiced ease.

Sionil frowns at the lack of a responce but looks towards Alisa for a diagnosis of the woman

Saevyna regards Alisa with an near absentness as the woman walks past her and enters the room. Now alone in the hallway, she cranes her neck to peer in both directions, carefully surveying the length of the hallway. Then, satisfied with whatever she had been observing, she places her open palms against the stone wall and leans against it.

Devon watches the room warily, taking every Sister's expression in, studying them. Her eyes remain narrowed at Sionil, flickering down to the Grey Sister in the midst of Delving. Bloody Hell. Was it safe to blame all Grey's for this matter/

"I..I was just d-doing what I was t-told.." Rhynne utters between sobs from her position on the floor.

Alisa finishing the probe of spirit she adds a bit of fire to the spirit flow changing the weave and begins to purge the poison from Zicara's body "Poor excuse for an assassin they should have known not to use such a weak poison. One would think that they would had done black mushrooms or perhaps hemlock or if there are friends of the dark in this tower they would have acess more foul poisons than we would even know existed."

Lynna places her hand to wipe at her face, the breif strain put on her from the intense channeling finally subsiding. "Peace, Rhynne. This will be sorted out. Still, even in the best of situations, we will need to have a long talk to straighten this out. That will have to wait, though." She looks toward Alisa, and arches her eyebrows quietly.

Wynn just rests against the wall and Tsuiko, catching a breather and slowly regaining some strength.

Sionil's frown deepens more hearing that "Poison?" she questions... tho with that surprize she releases the shield and the link with Lynna

Devon chews on her lower lip, her expression going bleaker than it already is. "I would like to know how Zicara could be such a threat, in her state." She begins quietly, looking around the room. "And why it was so easy for some of you to accuse her of guilt. An Aes Sedai, one older than any of us in here, if I'm correct." She looks to Sionil as she says this, perhaps her body language voicing the thought she refuses to.

Alisa continues "I have always thought widowmaker was a nice efficient poison myself and fairly difficult to treat as well. Though rather hard to come by and thus carrying its own problems. This poison more than likely contributed to delusions and feelings of paranoia. Most often grant false visions if administered in small doses.

Zicara continues to sit on the floor with her back against the wall, clarity slowly returning to her eyes as she is Healed. The ancient Gray makes no move at embracing Saidar, even as the shield cutting her off from the Source fails. To her credit, perhaps. Her silence is broken as she murmurs a quiet, "Thank you, Sister." to Alisa.

Walking over to Rhynne, Raemira casts a sympathetic gaze upon the young girl. "Shh. Its alright child. You're not going to be harmed." She casts a glare about the room, almost defying anyone to bring harm to either of the women. Spirit one again is formed, and this time its a weave used to calm people. She casts it upon Rhynne, attempting to sooth her overflowing emotions and allow her to think clearly.

Lynna purses her lips - pausing only a moment to relax as the Source is released from Sionil. "Unless the intent of the poison was to induce hallucination ... cloud judgment ... maybe even paranoia. Would the poison you detected do any of that?" She looks to Devon, and nods. "Something which I believe most of us should do penance for, to some degree."

Tsuiko rests against Wynn and shakes her head and looks over at Lynna and the others.. "it.. sounds like compulsion..." She shudders at that.. clutching tighter to Wynn..

Alisa explains "Well it would seem that there are two choices the would be assassin is quite clumsy and incompetant or that this was indeed the case to discredit a politically powerful sedai. It is my belief that this was a diversion to grab our attention while who knows what goes on while we are occupied elsewhere. Though the why does escape me at this point in time."

Alisa ponders "though the poison was not sufficient to cause any permanent damage to her body besides a few fever like systems."

Rhynne takes deep breaths and nods up to Raemira once the weave sinks in. "Th-thank you, Mother.." And she's perfectly happy to remain on the floor for the time, it would seem. Though Alisa's utterings earns her a shiver from Rhynne.

Sionil does not react or even respond to the accusations from the newly raised Blue but asks of Alisa "And the use of the Power by her, she will survive them?"

Lynna frowns, and nods to Alisa. "Given no other evidence, Sister, I think that the explanation is quite likely." She sets her jaw, quietly pondering.

Raemira glances at Alisa, smirking a touch, "Do you not think that she could have poisoned herself, to cast suspicion away from herself? Rhynne is naught but a child, and while having completed her /beginning/ classes, has not yet the strength we believed to have been used on Meggera. And she likely will not come into her full strength until years after being an Aes Sedai. I believe we need to speak to this Sorliela, now." there is a command in her tone. She wants this settled, and to at least discover whether or not Rhynne's words were true.

Wynn is getting her strength back and supports Tsuiko a bit, but still looks tired, she tries to listens but is just a bit drained still to pay too much attention.

Zicara manages to get to her feet, with effort..and help from Alisa, should the Yellow be kind enough to offer. Once on her feet, and Healed, Zicara seems to be acting much like herself, taking a kerchief from the pocket of her dress to dab at her brow. All the while remaining silent, dignified, and cool as a cucumber. A stark contrast to her earlier seeming poison-enduced demeanor.

Devon voices the thought others may be thinking, but no one says. "No one ever said the murderer was workign alone, Sisters." Whether it be Rhynne, or Zicara, or perhaps another Sister.

Tsuiko continues to hug against Wynn, breathing hard as she does so.. "Perhaps..it is this Sedai that is controlling.." She pants and hugs against Wynn..

Alisa says cooly "well yes mother that is a possibility as the poison used is not escpecially hard to find. Perhaps a canvassing of the herbsellers in the city proper will turn up more clues?"

Lynna nods to Raemira. "With your permission, Mother, I will inquire why Sorliela sent Rhynne down here? With a Novice involved, and the 'treaty' supposedly from the Gray Ajah, I might arouse the least suspicion. We can then work from there?"

Sionil gives a nod to Lynna of approval before moving off

"Permission granted." Raemira speaks to Lynna, turning her eyes to the rather suspicious Devon, a member of her own Ajah, "And you might take Devon with you as well." Oh, she sorely wants all suspicions cast aside, particularly against herself, but even so, the new Blue needs to get her feet wet, so to speak.

Sionil places her hand on the railing and walks up the precarious stairs. Sionil has left.

Rhynne looks quietly from one Sedai to the other. Light, if she moves to get up...no no, better not. She sighs softly. Where's a warder when you need one? Oh yeh, only in her dreams so far..

Devon nods slightly to the Amyrlin, looking around the room. "I'm sorry, Mother." she says simply, but she refrains from elaborations. Wether it be apologizing for her suspicions, or apologizing because she cannot trust the woman known as Amyrlin, only the Blue knows. "Shall we go, Lynna?" she asks calmly, her voice dead of emotion.

Sympathetically, Raemira looks to Rhynne, "Unfortunately, until this is settled, you'll be confined to the Tower, and your room, except for exercising periods, meals, and trips to the library." She then glances at Zicara, "As for her as well. I want to be absolutely certain of what was going on tonight, and who it is we are seeking."

Wynn moves a bit from the wall, and curtsies to Raemira, "Do we have your permission to withdraw, Mother?" she asks, sounding as exhausted as she looks, she does look to Tsuiko who is close with her.

Lynna inclines her head to Raemira. "As you command, Mother." Her tone of voice suggests that's more of a 'with pleasure' statement than a simple formality. She turns to Devon and nods. "Yes - the sooner this is settled, the better."

Alisa smirks then adds "perhaps they should be watched over by the yellows Mother we are quite skilled in keeping are patients alive and protected" added "even from themselves."

Tsuiko moves up against Wynn and nods.. "Please Mother..."

"They both had /better/ remain alive, given the conditions that I've just placed on them." There is more than threat in her voice, as though anyone that fails to heed that command will have to deal personally with Raemira herself. She can be very formidible, when she chooses, showing others that she knows how to do things other than sit behind a desk and looking 'pretty'. "No less than three Aes Sedai guards will maintain a shield on Zicara, who will be accompanied by two Warders. A combination of three Accepted or Aes Sedai will watch over Rhynne." She does not mention Gaidin protection looking over Rhynne, not believing a half trained student would need it.

Rhynne's face falls for a moment at the pronouncement. But then again.. The novice rises to her feet only to curtsy to Raemira. "Yes Mother.." she utters quietly.

Alisa says calmly "The yellow always stands ready to serve mother. We have not forgotten our oaths."

Finally done, making sure everyone has heard and understood her, Raemira then nods her head, "Light be with you Daughters, may it guide and protect you. Go, rest."

"As well they should, Alisa." Raemira then glancse to Rhynne, "Can you please escort the novice to her room. If you see any Accepted along the way, explain to them she's not to leave unless its for a meal, or to go to the Library. We'll work out a rotating schedule in the morning."

Wynn curtsies to Raemira again, "Light be with you, Mother, may it guide and protect you as well." she responds and truly means it as she moves to help Tsuiko back upstairs, "May your sails never lack for wind." she adds after a moment.

Alisa nods but suggests "Of course Mother I will see someone is there to watch her with your permission. "

Tsuiko places her hand on the railing and walks up the precarious stairs. Tsuiko has left.

Rhynne glances at the Yellow and sighs resignedly. Stay with her?? No...her nose wrinkles.

"Of course." It is then that Raemira also rises, then sighs heavily. She makes her own way to the door, her face drawn a bit. Bloody Black Ajah. Always getting into everything! First her predecessor to the Amyrlin Seat had been poisoned, rumored to be of the Black, then the death of Yuluriss by Morillin Sedai, now this! How insufferable.

Raemira goes home.

Alisa makes a respectful curtsey to the Amyrlin as she leaves. Then looks to the girl "Come along girl and do not test our will or you will find out just what it means to anger a healer."
