Location:Battlefield: Cairhien and Savior War
Summary:The first battle between Cairhien and the Savior comes to a head. Heavy casualties are reported on both sides, but none so much as on the Cairhien side, leaving the Savior with a distinct advantage in the battle.

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor grins as he walks around the camp, caressing the large club he is fond of. "Today we'll see the fall of the high and mighty Cairhien."

From the Cairhien Camp: The Queen exits her tent, after having a rather long and ardourous discussion with several of her advisors. She is wearing warm, woolen britches and a woolen blouse, marking her almost as common as some of her servants and staff, if not for the ornate cloak that rests about her shoulder, bearing the rising sun of Cairhien. Around her head is a smaller version of the sun crown, a less over bearing decoration of her station than the heavier crown at the palace. "I don't care, we've been over this time and again. That they're nearly overrun the village is inexcusable." She speaks of the Savior's latest conquest, which has lead them to this position; the near decimation of Ashigaru Village, just south of the city of Cairhien.

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar grins, not too far off from Chalor. "That we will brother, that we will. And we'll add another nation to our collection. Cairhien is weak, even with Andor on its way to defend the nation."

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan can be seen moving around inside the main medic tent, one of many here to mop up the blood and stitch people back together. Some of the healers seem agitated, but Valdan seems merely solemn. No point decrying wars and sending people off to be cut up just so we can sew em up again. They happen.

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor chuckles. "Aye. Andor will only be weaking itself for when we fall upon that nation. Surely it will be next." He swings his club into his hand with an audible thwack to emphasize the point.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina turns to glance at Briana, settling her gaze upon the Red Sister. There's no help for the small frown that comes her lips as she regards her. "Briana Sedai, are the rumors true of what I've heard of the Tower bringing other Sisters of the Tower to Cairhien for healing?"

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana moves to the Queen's side, "I have heard nothing of this your Majesty. If you wished to request such aid I am sure the Amerlyn Seat woudl consider your offer most closely."

Within the Savior Camp: Owyen meanwhile, sharpens his sword. "It won't be long now before we'll be ready to strike. I wonder if the cap'n will want us at the front of the lines again." The youngman looks eager, and ready to do battle. There is a metallic ring each time he puts his whetstone to his sword.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana folds her hands behind her back and surveys the area. "It is most unfortunate that the Savior made it this close to the capital."

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas remains on the edges of the camp, better suited for keeping an eye on things as a guard, since he volunteered his services as a scout.

From the Cairhien Camp: Approaching with a small number of other guardsmen assigned to him, for now, comes the blackest sheep of the dark indeed Filderryn. Kolvin is dressed in the traditional black of his House with a curious dab of purple that signifies his own choice in coloring as much as theirs. Approaching the entourage of the Queen quickly with a swishing tail that is his blade following behind him and a cocksure half-smile born on his lips, though he doesn't speak when he gets near the man dips himself into a low, formal bow to Her Majesty.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad is eyeing the others quietly for a moment, and then approaches the Queen, bowing to her. "Your Highness, Thad Hargrave at your service. I understand I am to be overseeing the Royal Guard."

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina seems to consider this information more closely as she moves further into the encampment. She stops by one of the groomsmen, speaking to him before answering Briana, "See that my horse is saddled. I mean to be right there with them as the battle rages." The Queen in britches is enough to scandalize a few, but most seem to overlook this little tidbit. "Then I suppose my scouts were wrong, though I swear they said something of that nature." She sighs a bit, nodding her head, "It seems his men have overrun some of our own."

From the Cairhien Camp: At the edges of the camp a squadron of Children of the Light come riding in.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana bows her head, "Your Majesty I shall ride at your side if you allow it. I am certain I can aid you during this battle." Briana smiles warmly but always shows proper deference to the Queen even giving a curtsey.

From the Cairhien Camp: At the approach of the two men, Adelina turns her attention to each as the bow, first Kolvin then Thad. Since Thad spoke first, it is he that she addresses first. "Yes, Lord Hargraves. I seem to think that should you prevail in the position that you've acquired for this... occassion, that you're request will be easily filled." She does not go into what that request is. Looking to Kolvin, she regards the other Lord briefly, "And I trust your rank suits you as well, Lord Filderryn?"

From the Cairhien Camp: "It is just a bit higher than the one I previously earned, Your Grace, I look at as a due promotion." Kolvin says with a grin smattering his lips while he watches the ongoings. "And a much less bloody one earned as well." he comments in a thoughtful, nigh amused tone of voice. "I rode rather quickly, any manner of aprisal that you may offer me I shall gladly take into consideration." he says in a curious toned voice with mixed accents.

From the Cairhien Camp: Narth glances about the camp from atop the horse he rode on commenting to his second-bannerman "Well, it looks a good thing we're here then."

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan walks to the edge of the open flapped tent, and looks out, eyeing the sky as if it might reach down and bite one, before turning his attention to the grouping gathered about the Queen. He takes this moment to rearrange the items in his pockets, small vials of what one must imagine are healing agents, though curiously, he smells each one before recapping it and placing it away, and some go into the left, and some into the right pocket. In particular, the half Saldaean Lord of Ostlyn seems interested in the queen herself, his attention fixed on her for a long time as if he could divine the future by doing so.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad simply inclines his head, knowing full well what the Queen means. He watches Kolvin while his cousin speaks, absently fingering the newly added sword at his hip. It does not look right on him, no matter his current attire of black mail with his sigil on the chest. His yellow eyes scan the camp then, resting with a hard edge on the sight of the Children, a frown appearing on his face.

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas comes in from the edges of the camp after being in discussion with someone and heads towards Thad, "I have news, Milord." he says in a calm voice, hood just covering his eyes and upper face. He waits to be acknowledged by Thad.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina looks back to Briana, nodding her head in a delicate motion. "Your company will be welcome, Aes Sedai, though I do warn you that I fully intend to be leading my army. I would not presume to dally behind the lines while they are in the thick of things." Looking back to her two Captain's, Adelina again takes in each one by one. "I am full well aware of how you earned your previous position..." Her voice trails off as Georas approaches. She nods to him, deferring to the scout and his news.

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan's turn to the side as someone brushes by out of the tent he stands in the doorway of, but speedily return to Adelina. Why does he stare at her? Has his expression become a bit more pensive perhaps? He clasps and unclasps his hands.

Within the Savior Camp: A large crowd of Illians and Tarens start making a rucus at the outskirts of camp harrassing each other and saying that they'll get more of them Cairhien noblewomen then the other.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad turns and faces Georas, nodding. "What news do you have for me?" he asks in a curt, but still polite tone.

From the Cairhien Camp: Considering this, "My Queen, it may not be the best solution to lead from he front. Certainly a speech or stirring rally but your words and beauty shall surely suffice to lead the men onward to victory." Kolvin recommends in a level manner and a reasoning tyone to his voice as he looks to the scout. Himself in boiled, steel shod leathers rather than bulky steels or mails.

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas sees being recognized by the queen and bows, "The Savior's forces are preparing for battle, and saddling, they will reach the village anytime now, overrunning those that remain." he speaks calmly as he finishes, he slides his hood back, hiding his eyes no more and smiles faintly, "They are moving quickly."

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana fingers her serpent ring and looks at Kolvin, "The Queen will be safe." She lets her eyes scan the camp watching all the comings and goings.

From the Cairhien Camp: "I believe with Briana Sedai at myself, I'll be in fair hands, Lord Filderryn. I trust your judgement, but in the past, Kings and Queen's of Cairhien rode with their army when they went to battle. I do not mean to break tradition, even if it has been long in coming that it should be restarted once more." Adelina looks first to Kolvin, then to the Aes Sedai. She nods her approval when the Red Sister unknowingly backs up what she was about to say.

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar grins.

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor hmphs as he nears the rucus. "Ha! Everyone knows there will be more than enough noblewomen to go around. The prize will be who gets the Queen. Ha!"

Within the Savior Camp: Sounds of an efficiently run camp are mingled in with the ruckus along the preimeter. The mood of all seems to be upbeat, expectant and anticipatory despite the distance from home these men are. A fervor gleams in the eyes of many while resigned determination seems to stamp the visage of the more seasoned warriors.

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar grins, his eyes widening slightly. "Indeed. Someone needs to bring that particular wench to task. Ha! Throwing away the Savior's good graces like that, and declaring war on us. Us!" He grunts. "She'll rue that day, indeed. Her and all her almighty nobles." He lightly fingers his sword, looking ready to do battle. He glances over his shoulder and grins at some of the other eager men within the camp.

From the Cairhien Camp: Snap decisions are common for the young half Saldaean Lord, but this one.. seems to take him a moment to overcome some invisible inertia. After a pause, Valdan leaves the tent and walks forward quickly to approach the group of advisors and leaders surrounding Adelina. "My Queen, may I beg a private word with you... please?" His tone has that underlying urgency to it, as the dark haired young man bows himself before the Queen.

From the Cairhien Camp: "As pleases you, Your Grace." Kolvin explains as he listens to the scout for a moment and presses his thin lips against one another briefly. "They are a'saddle? Gather up your pikeman and form a line on even terrain and send the archers to the behind to rain upon them. What manner of numbers do they have and we have?" he questions in a flurry, "How much experience does our army have? Will they break under charge?"

Within the Savior Camp: Lisaena walks towards the rucus and laughs. "You boys stay close to me. I'll take the Queen and tell the uppers that you all had a hand in helping me. More grace to spread around, nay?" She winks her green eyes towards them and then sits to sharpen her sword. peon in the ranks with high goals is she.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad nods and smiles slightly. "Thank you," he replies. He turns to the Queen and says, "If you will excuse me, my Queen, I will ready the men. Give the order when you desire us, Your Highness." With that, he swings into the saddle, though a bit shakily and rides off to see to the troops under his command. As it happens, they are ready and arranged in squares. He is not gone long, returning to the Queen's side. He reports to her, "The men are ready, my Queen." He has heard none of Kolvin's questions.

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas bows again as Thad takes his information, adding as a question hits his ears, "Thier numbers appear to equal our own, but hard to tell with exactly, thier patrols are too frequent."

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor guffaws. "As if yew would get there first. I say we have a little competition as to who can get to her Royal Graces first. Eh, what do you say?" He stands there, hitting the palm of his hand with his club as he waits for an answer.

Within the Savior Camp: A knot of men shake their heads, some anticipating the battle for one reason or the other, some of the more battle hardened simply so it will be over and they can get back home. A few smirk. "Who would want those daft cold women when we have our own waiting for us? Just get it over with." His opinion may not be popular but a few do look toward him and smirk as if he voiced their thougths.

From the Cairhien Camp: There's that 'your Highness' thing again. Adelina frown's briefly, but lets it roll off her. She nods her head to Thad. "Light be with you, Captain Hargraves." Her tone sounds more officious now than it has in ages. She pauses her conversation once more to listen aptly to Georas's report. Her frown only seems to grow. "Our numbers are mostly that of new recruits, and any old enough to pick up a sword with a desire to defend their nation, on top of that which the noble houses supply." At the end of her words, she then notices Valdan trying for her attention. A brow lifts as the young man approaches. "What would be so important as you needing to speak to me now, alone? Do you not realize we're about to go into battle?"

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana raises an eyebrow, "They attack a defensive position with only equal numbers? Perhaps this "savior" is not as clever as we assumed."

From the Cairhien Camp: Narth looks to his men "Get ready men. Ya see em by the queen? They're finally gonna move. Hopefully it's not too late for them. We'll have to save em from that darkie Savior fellow tho."

Within the Savior Camp: Owyen chuckles and nods his head a bit, his own youth showing, "Aye, lets get on with it. I'm tired of waiting about." He stretches, putting his whetstone away, and placing his sword in the scabbard.

From the Cairhien Camp: Nodding a little as he considers this and shrugs his thin shoulders upwards indifferently. "Very well then." Kolvin says in a thoughtful manner as long fingers move to scrub at his scratchy, unshaven stubble for a few moment. Ah, but only if they'd sent a Blight scout. "Or perhaps this Savior knows something that we do not. For instance, our soldiers are boys used to wielding pitchforks and hoes not pikes and swords." the lord of Filderryn says with a chuckles and a the wry joke he made himself. "Battle hardened men can decimate twice their number in inexperienced novices."

Within the Savior Camp: "Kill them shorties. They're no good, couldn't even take on them Aiel without help from us before. Easy pickins!"

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan looks up from his bow, his dark face reflecting more concern than it has since his half sister was kidnapped. "Your Majesty, I assure you it is urgent." Green eyes are almost bold in their insistence and he moves slightly closer, "Please, I have a warning it is vital I give you." He seems not to wish to say whatever it is with all the rest gathered around however, as his eyes glance to both sides.

From the Cairhien Camp: A horn can be heard coming from the Savior's camp, signing the men there that its nigh time to get ready and launch the attack. The sound echoes across the field, reaching the area the Cairhienin chose for their own encampment.

Ashigaru Village: A horn can be heard coming from the Savior's camp, signing the men there that its nigh time to get ready and launch the attack. The sound echoes across the field, reaching the area the Cairhienin chose for their own encampment.

Beside the Alguenya River: A horn can be heard coming from the Savior's camp, signing the men there that its nigh time to get ready and launch the attack. The sound echoes across the field, reaching the area the Cairhienin chose for their own encampment.

Within the Savior Camp: A horn can be heard coming from the Savior's camp, signing the men there that its nigh time to get ready and launch the attack. The sound echoes across the field, reaching the area the Cairhienin chose for their own encampment.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana nods her head, "Or...that is not all of his army. In fact it can't be can it? "

Within the Savior Camp: Lisaena just grins silently. She'll have that Queen and show these boys up. Also prove her worth as a solider. As her sword is sharp, she stands and shealths it. "Well boys, take your time... I'm heading to be ready so that I get her first." then she picks up a bowstaff on the way. Well.. two weapons? The first as a foolery, the second to kill. Why not?

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad remains silent, but looks toward the hornblast, a frown appearing on his forehead.

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar rises slowly, working out some kinks in his legs. He then goes over to where his horse is saddled, ready and waiting since the evening before in case the call came. "I, for one, just want to do some killing. Hopefully, I'll score me some nobles. The last bit we did, didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. Merchants. Bah. They just don't squeal enough." This one has a thirst for blood. Nobles decimated his family when he was in Tear.

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor grins and chuckles at the foolish woman and then turns, making his way towards the front lines. Can't well and claim any prizes being in the back after all.

Within the Savior Camp: Trivan dropped Taflan.

From the Cairhien Camp: "Captains, please ensure that you're group is ready. As soon as I'm seated upon my horse, I wish to rise to that challenge the call brings." Adelina's face turns rather serious at her simple orders, and then she turns briefly to Valdan. "Do please make it quick." Some impatience shows on her features. "Oh! Lord Hargraves, have that young man ride ahead and see what else he can find" She nods to Georas, who gave the earlier report. If she's seen the Children arrive, she gives no show of it, too caught up in what needs to be done within the camp to pay much attention to others. Her horse is brought to her, saddled, as soon as Valdan starts to speak once more.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad nods at the order and speaks to Georas in a voice no one could hear unless they had ears like a wolf.

Within the Savior Camp: Having already put his sword away, Owyen jogs toward his horse, ever eager and ready to mount up. "Who knows, there might even be a bonus in it for us of we catch her alive!" His eyes gleam about whatever bonus the Savior would bestow on them: some received gold, while others received land of their very own.

From the Cairhien Camp: The group of Whitecloaks hearing the blast from the bugle get ready "Okay men. Time to earn our pay."

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana busies herself getting a horse and mounting it carefully. She sits atop the horse and awaits the Queen's pleasure.

From the Cairhien Camp: Kolvin speaks, "As pleases you, Your Grace." and with this he turns, with his own guardsmen and makes his way back to the huge black war horse he rides, Seikansha, mounting it. Riding to the blocks of his own units while he saddles his head with a helmet and hands with some thick gauntlets.

Within the Savior Camp: Talfan emerges from one of the tents, a map curled up on one hand while he nods to the men accompanying him. He stirdes over toward some of the others, passing the map to an aide before leaving the area. Men begin to gird up belts, finish a final drink of water and of course take care of 'necessaries' as they fall into place. Only a few seem to be remaining behind to secure the inner camp.

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan swallows, in and of itself, a sign of nervousness, and perhaps gut twisting revulsion at what he is about to bring to the Queen's ears. He lowers his voice, so that only one with very good hearing, bordering on animal could hear beyond where they stand, yet the urgency in that whisper and his stance speaks volumes alone. He mutters to Adelina, "... have... visions..... the... men and... things,... your commands... battle..... saw... vision... you, that... the... You go... battle... own... peril Majesty. Let... Captains... war..." Valdan motions agitatedly with his hands.

Within the Savior Camp: "Okay men. Fun time's over! Let's go get them short-stuckup fools"

From the Cairhien Camp: Narth and the other Whitecloaks move off for the fight

From the Cairhien Camp: Narth heads toward the village.

Ashigaru Village: Narth arrives from the direction of the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas nods as he is spoken to and takes off towards the edges of camp. Whether he has a horse there is uncertain, but he is quickly gone from sight.

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor gets an evil gleam in his eyes and picks up another cudgel for use, this one studded with metal. He tucks the wooden one into his belt to be used if the other one fails him, or if he comes on someone who doesn't need to be killed.

From the Cairhien Camp: There is a moment of hesitation within Adelina as she listens to Valdan's words. A knowing of sorts enters her eyes. Her brother, Lyren, is afflicted with the same gift as the man who stands before her. She reaches out a hand and actually pats him on the shoulder, "A war is always a dangerous thing. I will be well." She smiles gently at him, yet any warning that he gives she seems not to heed. "Thank you," she manages, before taking the reins of her own horse, a bulky gelding that has fire and spirit, yet seems as gentle as a newborn babe at the same time, and sets about mounting him.

Ashigaru Village: Narth and his men spread out, keeping an eye out for an ambush

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar mounts his horse easily, settling into the saddle as though it were an old friend. He waits for the others to get mounted as well, crossbow already in hand. "For victory!" he cries loudly, raising his bow above his head and waving it about.

Within the Savior Camp: Owyen nearly hops onto his own horse, his eagerness transfering to the bulky beast below him. The horse dances about some, and then is calmed after a few minutes longer.

Within the Savior Camp: Lisaena moves along and waits. "Just say when and I'm ready." She's mounted her hose and is waiting for the sissy's of the men to finish their tarts and jam. "For the Victory!" She cries at the battle cry. Alright.. let's go kill a few worthless people.

Within the Savior Camp: Talfan gives a brief snort, and checks his mount. A sword hangs by his side but it does not seem to be his only weapon. Such a motley crew the army is yet surprisingly efficient. Maces and clubs, swords and pikes, Axes and spears, even some who prefer mporvised weapons with which they are more familiar to more formal ones. Armor seems to be an ecclectic mix, some owned by men conqueored who no longer have use for it. Some pieced together yet none the less, fairly effective. The creak of leather and the light smacking brush of seats greeting leather is heard as men assmeble. Horses roll eyes and turn ears, picking up on the tension of the riders, different from just another move of the camp.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana continues to await the Queen a look of peace on her face. She turns to the Queen now, "Your Majesty, I will make us safe from arrows and similar dangers but you must remain close by me. I will stay with you so that you may move as you wish. Is this well with you?"

From the Cairhien Camp: Another horn calls across the spanse, signalling those within the Savior Camp to launch the attack; three sharp bursting sounds, almost sounding like something of triumph. Those already on the field can hear the roar of men coming forward, something sounding like "Victory" coming from the Savior camp.

Ashigaru Village: Another horn calls across the spanse, signalling those within the Savior Camp to launch the attack; three sharp bursting sounds, almost sounding like something of triumph. Those already on the field can hear the roar of men coming forward, something sounding like "Victory" coming from the Savior camp.

Ashigaru Village: One of the whitecloaks scouts forward "Nothing here, bannerman"

Ashigaru Village:Narth nods "There will be Child. there will be."

From the Cairhien Camp: Once settled into her saddle, Adelina turns in her seat to look at Briana. "That is fine," she states softly. She raises her own sword, which she pulls from a scabbard connected to her saddle, and waves it about, "For the Sun Throne!" The words are yelled loud enough for those around her to hear. Some seem to catch among the ranks. She then kicks her horse forward, sounding no alarms to set into action, not warning the Savior's men of their own intended purpose.

From the Cairhien Camp: Valdan is left with his mouth hanging open as the Queen mounts her horse, green eyes filled with something bordering on hopeless disbelief. Does she think him mad perhaps? He may never know. And perhaps the warnings unheeded are the worst part of the 'gift' which is, to his mind, no gift. His hands crumple the front selvedge of his robe as the horn sounds and the sounds of an attack launching drowns out anything else he might have had to say. He turns and ducks into the tent without another word.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana rides at the Queen's side looking a bit distracted but is still able to keep up and stay beside her. Anyone familar with the one power can tell that Briana is embracing the source and holding some type of power.

From the Cairhien Camp: Georas heads toward the village.

Ashigaru Village: Georas arrives from the direction of the Cairhien Base.

Within the Savior Camp: At the sounding of the horn, Keldar spurs his horse into action. "I don't need any other bloody calls to get me going. Heeyah! Get going you nag." The elder man grabs onto a fair bit of the animals mane as it takes off running.

Within the Savior Camp: Keldar walks toward the Alguenya River

Within the Savior Camp: Owyen walks toward the Alguenya River

Beside the Alguenya River: Owyen enters the Alguenya River from the Savior's Battle Camp.

Ashigaru Village: Narth smirks to his men "Finally they realize that they have to fight too."

Within the Savior Camp: Chalor mounts a horse as illkept as he and kicks it in the ribs into a gallop, catching up to the rest of the Savior's men.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad kicks his horse after the Queen, echoing her shout. His armies follow.

Ashigaru Village: Narth heads toward the river.

Beside the Alguenya River: Taflan enters the Alguenya River from the Savior's Battle Camp.

Ashigaru Village: Narth makes some orders for his men "Keep awake. Look out for anything."

Beside the Alguenya River: Taflan heads toward the village.

Ashigaru Village: Taflan arrives from the direction of the Alguenya River.

Beside the Alguenya River: Trivan heads toward the village.

Ashigaru Village: Trivan arrives from the direction of the Alguenya River.

Ashigaru Village: A small portion of the Savior's force is the first to arrive on the village scene. A group of haphazardly formed men ride hard down the stretch. At least one, Keldar, aims a crossbow, aiming for anyone close by that manages to catch his eye. He is, also, consequently the first to arrive on the scene, with the others not too far behind.

Ashigaru Village: The Queen's forces are not to be cowed, but by the likes of the Savior's men. While not in full strength, a larger number of Cairhien's men is present and accounted for this evening, each under its own leadership; Thad Hargraves, Captain of the Royal Guard Forces, and Kolvin Filderryn, Captain of the Cairhien Guard Forces.

Ashigaru Village: Trivan moves along the perimeter of the village, his men deployed as scouts and told to not engage in battle, just watch the movements of the troups and report. As the first groups approach the village men bring messages to the Cairhiens, warning of positions and estimating what nuumbers they can. These do nto return to their posts but take up ossitions inter spaced amid the others, helping fill in the ranks as representatives of House Rhinorth.

Ashigaru Village: Chalor rides forward at a gallop and looks rather new to horseback riding by the sight of him atop his horse. He has no bow or other projectile weapons, but seeing how he can barely stay atop his horse, anything he used would likely be as harmful to his compatriots as to his enemies.

Ashigaru Village: Georas remains on the edges of the village, dodging behind buildings and an occasional tree. A stringed bow is in his hands as he scouts the edges off the village.

Ashigaru Village: Owyen rides low and fast, cursing under his breath as Keldar gets ahead of him. When within sight of those who they're to fight this evening, he sits up, lets go of the reins and gets out his longbow ready, already coiled, and just needing to be notched with an arrow.

Ashigaru Village: Narth shakes his head at the site of the allied forces. "There they are, swords out men." The squad of Whitecloaks draw their weapons out ready.

Ashigaru Village: Taflan says "Tighten up formatin you, over there, back in line, no poking about till we give you leave to do that. Close that gap." the words are barked out yet he seems of little more rank than those he speaks to. His own attention roves though he does do better at remaining where he is supposed to be amid the troups."

Ashigaru Village: Adelina rides nearly at the head of their group, then pulls her horse back to a near halt. This is far enough. "To arms, to arms!" The words ring easily about the field, calling to her men for support. The sword, whether ceremonial or not, waves in the air once more and points toward the men with which the Savior has supplied for the slaughter.

Ashigaru Village: "Shields up." Kolvin says to his caller, by his side as he reaches down and takes up a shield all his own to deflect arrows with. "Bowmen nock. Bowmen draw." he says in a calm manner of voice as he watches the horse ride in, "Pike set to receive." the small, thin man says in a slow and thoughtful tone of voice. "Let's not be baited, children. We have archers just like they do and they'll die just as fast with an arrow in their belly."

Ashigaru Village: At the queens words, hundreds of pesants hastily armed start running after the Savior's men... to meet the hundreds of hastily armed pesants on the Savior's side.

Ashigaru Village: All too aware of what's about to occur, Keldar can't help but release his bolt toward the crowd of Cairhienin forces, attempting to hit someone, anyone really. Suicide missions are what he does best, and up until now he's survived. His particular job is to make sure war is, indeed, waged. Firing first generally helps.

Ashigaru Village: Thad arrives very shortly after the Queen, his black mail and red sigil standing in stark contrast to those under his command, but matching quite well to Kolvin's. A quick glance behind to make sure his force is present and he joins the Queen with a few of the other horsed Royal Guard, protecting the Queen.

Ashigaru Village: As battle always does, the first blood has to be drawn, as the bolt strikes into the neck of a poor farmer from the northern borders of the country that he fights for, only to be the first to die this day.

Ashigaru Village: Chalor holds up, back out of arrow range hopefully. Though to make sure he takes some cover behind a few others. Best to wait for the first volley before charging in for the carnage.

Ashigaru Village: The sounds of the forces approaching draws the rag-tag army's attention, some smile in glee, others grimace more than smile. peasants. Tsk tsk. they are met with slings and arrows liberally sprouting from the Savior's army. they have learned in their past how to thin opponants and that is as good a way as any. Others ready spears to give a nasty surprise for the ones who get too close to impale themselves on. One getting too ear hers the whistle of a sword too closely, so close it is the last sound he hears.

Ashigaru Village: Georas hears the cries that signal the battle has started. He remains on the edges to try and make sure he can see signs, if a force should decided to try and flank the Cairhain forces. He occasionally pauses to notch an arrow and loose it into the forces of the enemy.

Ashigaru Village: Narth murmurs to a few archers he has with him "Get on top of one of the houses and shoot down some of those men."

Ashigaru Village: "Bowmen fire." Kolvin offers the command in a neutral tone of voice. And with such a rain of thousands of arrow whistles through the air with their simple heads arcing high first and then toppling from the sky at alarming speeds to rain down upon the Savior's men. Kolvin says, absentmindedly to his aide, "You know, this is truly poor tactical strategy here. No wonder teh Aiel savaged the army." he says with a wry sense of humor.

Ashigaru Village: Thad is not in any mood to laugh. He's busy directing a few of the pikemen nearby to stand by the Queen at any costs. He will not have anyone sneaking up on his monarch. His yellow eyes flash around the battlefield, directing a dozen or so of his men to take care to watch for anyone else attempting to flank the Cairhienin.

Ashigaru Village: Owyen pulls his horse to a halt, just as several among his particular group are plowed down by the falling arrows and bows. His horse squeals as it is hit in the rump, bucking at the stinging sensation and trying to rid himself of it. Owyen tries his best to get his animal calm and under control. Screams ring throughout the Savior's forces, but those that are cut down are only replaced by others. There are similar orders being barked in the background. "Archers ready.... fire!" A volley of arrows from the Savior's men fly toward the Cairhienin group.

Ashigaru Village: Briana is like an island of calm riding beside the Queen. Its like she is distanced from what is going on around her. Occaisionally a crossbow bolt or arrow arcs into the area around Briana and the Queen and shatters against some invisible shield that seems to surround them. Briana guides her steed with her legs in a practiced way while her hands are held out slightly as if holding something.

Ashigaru Village: Narth and his men finally get into the battle, engaging the front lines of the savior's infantry

Ashigaru Village: Chalor waits and watches arrows fall and kill his colleagues. Ah well, the charge will be on soon and it will be his turn to rain down death on those unfortunate enough to be in his path.

Ashigaru Village: The scream of injured horses and the cries of the wounded begin to add to the cacophony of sounds tainting the peaceful country side with the music of war. The twang of bows, the grating clash of metal and thuds are heard. Coppery blood and the faint stench of rent bodies spilling their guts helps form the heady perfume of battle.

Ashigaru Village: Adelina watches cooly and calmly as her people move into battle-ready positions. Her eyes watch with the efficiency that Lord Filderryn starts to issue orders. She folds her hands upon the horn of her saddle, and casts a sideways glance at Briana, "It looks as though things will be interesting." She looks over at Thad, watching him a moment, then looks back to the battlefield. "I'd have thought they'd be more... tricky, somehow. Ambushing us."

Ashigaru Village: Trivan rises from his place of concealment as a bloting horse runs by bearing one of the enemy. A quick swing of the mace in an overhead arc brings the man down and the horse is grabbed by the reins and spun, driven back into the oncoming enemy to help break them up and add to the confusion. He pulls back, the flanges on his axe rimmed in red to join one of the groups of Cairhien in a united band. Eyes rove over his own side to try to identify weak points and see how he may best be deployed.

Ashigaru Village: The men of Kolvin's army raise their shield over their heads and the men near the front also make an effort to shield the pikemen. This, however, is no foolproof method and dozen fall with wooden shafts planted firmly somewhere in them. The moaning and screaming begins then. "Bowmen nock. Draw. Fire." Kolvin says calmly once again as an arow sinks into the wooden shield he carries. "I think they don't like me." he explains to the aide by his side. "Pikemen hold. Calvary charge their flank then retreat." he pauses and looks at the other fellow, "Are you getting all this?" he asks and smiles winningly. And with that another storm of arrows flies and men on heavy horses, wielding lances and swords break forth from just behind Kolvin's foot line to converge on either side of the enemy's army for a single crushing wave before they wheel about, the survivors anyway, and make back for the safety of foot. "At least the horsemen are trained."

Ashigaru Village: Thad can hear the musings of the Queen and nods to himself. He's not half as useless a Lord as most think, and not nearly as blind. He approaches the Queen and reports, "One third of the men have been sent to the left, one third to the right. If there are any ambushes coming, we'll know about it before it can do us any damage. The rest of the men I am moving nearer the front, My Queen."

Ashigaru Village: Narth with a slash of his sword takes down an enemy man, "I hope that the Queen has more men, otherwise these Savior fellows are just going to over-run this position by shear volume."

Ashigaru Village: Briana turns to the Queen while still holding the power she replies, "Majesty, this is only the beginning." She then turns back surveying the battlefield. All the while still she is dividing her attention holding a well practiced weave.

Ashigaru Village: Spying the Children, Owyen growls under his breath. "Blood and bloody ashes, who'd have thought they'd invite the Children to this. Be damnable White Cloaks" He spits, then waits for the call for the cavalry to charge.

Ashigaru Village: Two of the Children Archers atop a house spy out the Savior's man Owyen and loose two arrows towards him on his horse.

Ashigaru Village: Georas picks out his locations carefully as he remains on the edges looking for signs of either more forces being held in reserve or reinforcements. He sends an arrow into the Savior's forces from time to time as he can find a clean shot.

Ashigaru Village: A whitecloak calls to the second-bannerman "Where's those bloody calvary, sir. That heavy armored folk'll just run us down if they're not stopped."

Ashigaru Village: The Savior's forces are perhaps not so incompetant as they may seem. the battle fodder front lines have tested the enemy and the group respond quickly using similar tactics, shields absorb arows raining down, defenses as well as weapons are readied and brought into play. Orders are barked out one by one, and these men, many of them fanatics, hardened fanatics, fanatics who helped take two other countries, begin to advance. Attack is aimed at what is assessed as a weak point.

Ashigaru Village: Owyen doesn't have a chance, having not noticed the archers aiming arrows in his direction. He is hit by both, unerringly, having not moved from his position in his waiting. There are those around him, comrades, who growl and start to charge off after the Children, not waiting for their order, and taking things into their own hands. Those archers on horseback draw their bows and take aim toward the squad, while others draw swords and look ready to cleave the men in white.

Ashigaru Village: Chalor grins and he starts forward, being one of those fanatics that are waiting to bring down another nation in the name of the Savior. The gleam in his eye and the grin on his face is decidedly evil. He has taken a small shield from his saddle, a buckler really, and strapped it to his arm so that he may deflect anymore incoming arrows.

Ashigaru Village: "Oh, I know, Briana Sedai, I know," Adelina calmly responds, paling slightly at the sight of men dying before her very eyes. Very few times, and only during times of execution, has she had to witness such things. Yet, she stands ready, and alert, to rally the troops when needed. Her hand grips the sword she holds carefully, even if she does not know how to use the weapon.

Ashigaru Village: Narth glances up and seeing the arrows coming down upon his men cries out "Shields up men! Arrows incoming" Lifting his own shield up blocks a few arrows, tho some of the more green Chidren of the Light aren't so lucky and three or four go down under the rain of steel and wood.. Fortunately for the Whitecloaks the arrows hit the Savior's own men as well.

Ashigaru Village: Thad motions to a few of the more heavily armoured men on horseback to take up a position near the front lines. Book knowledge is all he's got for this, and common sense. He speaks for a moment with those going to the front, a few final directions before basically leaving them to defend the line along with thier comrades in arms. The young lord looks back to see if he might catch a glimpse of anything amiss.

Ashigaru Village: Another volley of arrows is loosed as the Savior's archers aim toward the Cairhienin army, only this time they are doused with some sort of liquid, with the added touches of fire. As the rain comes down this time, what the arrows themselves do not catch, the fires are likely to do, unless put out.

Ashigaru Village: "Damn." Kolvin says in a thoughtful voice as his dark eyes squint a bit and he stands in his stirrups to see where the enemy is going. "Give the archers freedom of fire until engagement. Advance swordsmen as a buffer between the pike and their foot." shaking his head a bit at this his lips pinch against one another tightly as he waits a bit more. "I hope those farmers can kill a few of them. Redirect the calvary to advancing flanks. I hope they like the taste steel." and so it is that Kolvin's mismatched army of farmers receiving anotehr barrage of arrows and he sics his calvary on the advancing footmen.

Ashigaru Village: Georas takes up a closer position and tries to focus on taking out some of thier archers, using the buildings still as cover.

Ashigaru Village: Narth moves his men against a building as the fire-arrows start raining down.

Ashigaru Village: Cries of men covered in flaming oil start screaming out as their death comes slowly and painfully.

Ashigaru Village: Briana watches as the flaming arrows fly, "Once we close ranks any fires would hurt them as much as us. " For all the effect on Briana this fighting has you'd think she was out for a country stroll or something. Still there is something subtile in her eyes a hardness....

Ashigaru Village: Gathering a few more like himself, Chalor starts a charge of fanatics. They are not particularly well armored or well armored, yet they are fueled by the insanity of the Savior and they wish to rain down destruction on all those who oppose them. So the group of twenty or so begins a charge against those recently attacked by the fire arrows and who should be somewhat preoccupied at the moment when they rush upon them.

Ashigaru Village: As the archers press the attack forward, a horn is sounded within the Savior's group. Men on horse back come charging down the line, each hooting and hollaring their own scream

Ashigaru Village: Trivan sees a small cluster of the savior's men breaking free of the main group and takes a dozen men with him to meet them. It seems to be a trial probe of the flank. On foot two of the men do not seem to worry about the riders but work to bring down the horses in a tnagle that breaks up the charge. Swords sing and battle is begun, some of the hand to hand blows heard but not seen in the sudden fulrry of activity. Trivan moves with methodical efficiency and a grim expression as thick arms flex and move through the motions necessary. One by one the numbers are wittled down.

Ashigaru Village: Taflan sees the change in the stance of the troups facing and with a whoop intended to inspire men and intimidate enemy, he urges his group forward. Arrows will eventually diminish numbers that would be better wasted in hand to hand where they might at least exhaust the soldiers if not thin their numbers. A tip of the head acknowledges the fire arrow tactice usage.

Ashigaru Village: Narth growls seeing the calvary come charging down "Form the Phalanx, men! Must stop those berzerkers" The White Cloak Banner join together in a wedge shaped formation. Their shields held above them to stop any arrows coming down upon them.

Ashigaru Village: Keldar is among those within cavalry charging the Cairhien group. "For the Savior! For Freedom!" His cries ring, as as his horse pounds the ground. It easily jumps over any obstacles that gets in its way, causing the dirt to fly.

Ashigaru Village: Narth cries out as his formation moves into the fray "Swords up and out. We'll show these darkies what the true power of the Light can do!" The whitecloak formation shows of dozens of swords held up high to defend against the charging horsemen

Ashigaru Village: "Lord Hargraves, are you sure your scout stated that we're evenly matched?" There is some worry in Adelina's voice as she speaks, turning her darkened gaze toward the frontlines. "And that your men along the sides will be able to keep the Savior's own from coming about?" For all her talk of wanting to be involved in the battle, now is the time of reckoning. She thought she'd be fine, but when faced with this... mess... one quickly changes their mind.

Ashigaru Village: "For the Savior!" cries Chalor as he starts swinging his spiked club around, listening for the lovely wet crunch as it meets with flesh and bone. The dull crack of splintering bone is the sweet music to him and he is in a symphony right now. An eye glazed, frothing symphony of maddness.

Ashigaru Village: "Who formed this army? A Taraboner woman?" Kolvin says as he looks around as the entirely too frightened men surrounding him while his lips purse against one another. "I'm at a loss, honestly. With an army like what can I do, them them against a wall of death and watch them die? I didn't even have a moment to create any manner of pits or traps." The two calveries of teh two armies meet with one another, lances and swords and swords slashing and clanging. Screeching horses and shattered metal and, of course, the stench of human blood. "Tell the archers to fire behind the main line now. No need to kill any of our own, they're working on taht pretty well themselves." Kolvin growls. "Advance the swordsmen into the melee." he commands and with that the generous bulk of his forces begins to lumber forward to engage the horsemen who ought have lost their momentum against Kolvin's own charge.

Ashigaru Village: Briana reaches out her hands and squeezes Adelina's hand gently just long enough to comfort without making a scene. "Your Majesty, perhaps if you raise your sword and say something to inspire the men?"

Ashigaru Village: Thad nods and allows his horse to dance in circles so he can see. "Yes, my Queen. Evenly matched man for man. As for the men on the flanks, unless all 4000 of them are slaughtered in an instant, we'll receive a messenger from whichever side needs support." He whirls his horse around and gives a shout of his own, almost a howl if one were to think about it. He raises his sword and shouts again, heading toward the line of charging cavalry.

Ashigaru Village: Georas keeps his attention up and going as he moves along the outskirts without getting too close the the forces of the Savior's watching for any areas of his own forces that might need help, or any weaknesses in the forces of the enemy, something to report back with.

Ashigaru Village: Adelina glances over at Brias and nods her head a bit, "Yes, yes, of course." She pauses a moment to think, adjusting the smaller crown upon her brow. "For the Light. For the Sun Throne. May it Rise Forever!" A bit lame, or so her thoughts go, but it may work to bring some heart to the men out there. Her eyes watch studiously, looking to see if there's any change among them.

Ashigaru Village: Narth and his Phalanx of men are pushed back many paces but do not break the formation. Surviving against more of a mob then an organized fight. "Keep it up men!"

Ashigaru Village: Taflan says "Forward! Over there, there she is, that one who spurned us, that one who turned up her nose at our offers, There she is." It is Adelina who has been spotted, of course. At the same time she seeks to inspire her troops, she becomes visible and a target of the enemy. Excitement seems to swirl through the fanatics and another wave of them rolls forward, enthusiasm and fervor blending to fuel the fanatics."

Ashigaru Village: Keldar vaults from his horse in an attempt to tackle Thad from his own, as he gets close enough to do so. The man is obviously of high standing, or wields some sort of ranking. Its always best to get rid of the officers first: leaves room for confusion.

Ashigaru Village: Oh. Well. Right. Adelina managed to inspire the wrong group of people it seems, with Briana's encouragement to do so. She quietly checks those men around her, despite the fact that the Aes Sedia said she'd be protecting her, just to make sure she /is/ well guarded. Clearing her throat, she comments lightly, "It seems the odds are interesting..."

Ashigaru Village: Trivan disposes of the last of the broup and pulls his men, those who remain able to move, back to merge with another group, strengthening ehem. "Hold fast, attack from the side there with arrow, and if you can reach, when they press inward in that dip in the line. Let their own dead slow them down." Perhaps not as strongly military in training as som, he still has common sense to help reinforce areas that seem to falter, almost setting little traps to reduce numbers and split oncoming attack so more difuse.

Ashigaru Village: Thad meets some of the charging cavalry, still atop his horse. That situation is quickly altered, however, when his mount winds up missing a leg thanks to a desperate Saviourite. Thrown to the ground, Thad quickly rolls to his feet, then rallies the footsoldiers around him. "The legs, men!" he shouts. Once the legs of the Saviour's cavalry are gone, the heavily armoured attackers will be far too slow to fight properly. Or so the theory goes.

Ashigaru Village: Narth growls as a random arrow finds its way into his shoulder through a chink in his armor "For the Light!" He cries out to keep his men going forward "Wheel to the left!" and heads his men down towards the flank of the Savior's that are heading for the Queen

Ashigaru Village: Briana nods to the Queen, "It works both ways. But by putting yourself at risk even the untrained farmer with fight harder for you Your Majesty. You are a symbol of everything they are fighting for today." That said Briana turns to watch the enemy troops getting closer moving her hands a bit and perhaps preparing a surprise.

Ashigaru Village: Trivan works steadily along the distant line keeping the Savior's men from dircling around beyond them. He deploys his men efficiently though keeps an eye out for superiors to make sure he is coordinating with what they need done. He is lost from view as he wades in to make a more efficient team, made dripping gore as it cuts through padded leather and crushes metal armor.

Ashigaru Village: Having missed his target, Keldar rolls on the ground, out of the way of any stampeeding animals and hence out of the way of any trampling hooves. He growls under his breath, turning to meet Thad head on, if possible. He seems fixiated on the Captain, a lust for blood in his eyes. His weapon drawn, he wields it with a deadly calm.

Ashigaru Village: While the Queen's scouts may be loyal, they still need to take counting lessons... the number of men that the Savior has is slowly growing more then the number of Cairhien men and pushing them backwards

Ashigaru Village: The Savior's cavalry forces are fairly well, with the exception of the Cairhienin pikemen skewering some of those who were not ready to jump or dodge past the long shafts of wood sticking up in the air with pointed tips. They attack their Cairhienin counterparts head on, sword against sword, blade against blade. Some aim at their enemy's horses, attempting to unseat them.

Ashigaru Village: Thad turns to see Keldar heading toward him. His golden eyes narrow and his mouth twists into a feral snarl as Thad heads toward Keldar, hacking a few of the Saviour's men in the progress. 4 paces now separate the two men.

Ashigaru Village: Adelina frowns for a moment at Briana. "Yes, it does work both ways. But I'd prefer not to inspire my enemies, nor become a target of their obsession." Adelina reins her horse about a bit, taking off for another part of the field. Surely, this will startle some of her other guards, not expecting her to move from her current position.

Ashigaru Village: Georas slips into the outskirts, out to scout and get more information as he slips from sight.

Ashigaru Village: Briana reaches out to grasp at Adelina's sleeve, "No don't leave my side or appear to be fleeing!" Her voice is sudden and worried sounding also suddenly the Queen's action have shattered her holding of the power ending it for now. Briana tries to turn her horse and stay with the Queen while also trying to get her attention and stop her.

Ashigaru Village: The side of the Cairhien closest to the queen seeing her move start to buckle and cries of "She's leaving! We're doomed" start to rise up from the enlisted

Ashigaru Village: Keldar starts toward Thad, but just before he gets to the other man, a feral grin on his face, a horse comes between the two of them, as one of the Cairhien cavalry men charges forward. A disatisfied grunting gives notice that Keldar was nearly trampled, and when the horse moves, the man has disappeared.

Ashigaru Village: The Phalanx of the Whitecloaks comes into the path of a squad of calvary. Nearly breaking from the shear weight of the horse and men, they barely stay together, tho losing a quarter of the Children in the process.

Ashigaru Village: Fortunately, the Cairhienin horsemen are teh oen true shining example of adequate military that Kolvin has afield and the two side are likely very evenly matched. Kolvin looks to his aide, the small irritated fellow he now is, "Call my army to melee and let them free. I pray that we have more luck than we have training." Kolvin explains and then spurs his own horse forward as the silver, heron marked blade flashes in the light and the huge warhorse Seikansha that carries the lordling erupt forth of iron shod hooves and clumps of ground. A great surge of the remaining Cairhienin comes with at hunderous yell as teh follow behind the man who is their de facto leader. Sometimes its so easy to make a pretense of bravery. Soon the black clad Filderryn and his Saldaean trained warhorse are spinning a dance of death with a silver blade of wonder and dark horseflesh barded in steel. Kolvin seeks to find someone who appears a leader or commander or lieutenent and one man's arm slips free of his body the the dancing blade's behest. Like a hot knife through butter.

Ashigaru Village: When Adelina finally does stop, she does so in such a way that she's the exact, same, spacing that she was before from the field, ensuring that there is some hope that she'll remain safe. "For the Rising Sun, May it Shine Always." Once again, the Queen's voice resounds, though Adelina does not wave around her shiny sword this time.

Ashigaru Village: Thad blinks for only a second as the man disappears before turning to fight the others on foot. He shouts in retort, "Don't be fools, she isn't going anywhere. Now fight or you really will be doomed, you ox-brained idiots!" With that said, he hacks into a Saviourite's skull, cleaving the man from stem to stern.

Ashigaru Village: The Cairhien army holds itself together, barely. Although one or two do run off in a panic only to be taken down by a flying arrow coming from the Savior's side

Ashigaru Village: Briana chases the queen down till she finally stops. Briana turns her horse to survery the battlefield again. Now her face is worried and sweaty her braid partly undone. She takes a deep breath moving her hands once more and staring into the distance as she tries to summon the power once more.

Ashigaru Village: In almost a blink of an eye, the Savior's cavalry retreats. Yet, only to be replaced by hundreds, if not thousands upon thousands, of foot soldiers advancing forward. Where'd all those people come from? Another volley of arrows fly forward, covering the advance of this particular group, heading into the Cairhienin entourage.

Ashigaru Village: Narth mutters "The Queen doesn't have enough men to stop those reinforcements." then louder "Keep it together men! We have em now"

Ashigaru Village: Arrows from Kolvin's ramshackle, farmer army continue to rain on the Savior's forces past their own men. They haven't slacked off on their duty. Kolvin himself, along with his own calvary lead the charge towards the footmen that have appeared. Not so numerous as the footmen approaching them but they are a'horse and come a nearly a thousand through the hail of arrows. The heavy weight of the horses won't be denied by the enemy's swordsmen so easily as the pikemen they initially would have had to deal with.

Ashigaru Village: These men, the footsoldiers that move forward, seem more kept and presentable, not like the first of the soliders that came through from the Savior's army. There's something about the way they move, the efficiency they put forward, that suggests these are no ordinary soliders. Their own archers continue to rain arrows, lighting them afire again this time as they do so. If they are concerned about killing their own men, they don't seem to show it, nor do the footsoliders who advance. Those along the front lines engange Cairhien's men, steel against steel, with a trained precision.

Ashigaru Village: Thad appears at Adelina's side almost as soon as the new soldiers appear. "My queen," he says, breathless and spattered in teh blood of others. "Your orders?? We are outnumbered by far, but we may pull it off if we have our flanks crash in. Or, beat a retreat shortly and nurse the wounds. It is almost dark. It is yours to decide. We will fight for you."

Ashigaru Village: Just as Adelina is about to answer, the weather helps make her decision. Large tufts of flakes come from the sky, signaling snow. The clouds above look heavy and laden with cryztallized waterfall. She looks at Thad squarely, stating in a quieted voice, too quiet, "Sound the retreat."

Ashigaru Village: Briana once again holds the power with no obvious effects. She turns to Thad and nods, "If we can counterattack and push them into the river we could win. If we retreat they will come again tomorrow..or take us in a rout right now."

Ashigaru Village: Narth holds his men against the fresh forces "Keep it together men."

Ashigaru Village: Briana shakes her head, "Wait your Majesty..seek the advice of your general first that is the wisest course. Can Kolvin be called now?"

Ashigaru Village: Thad watches the Sedai and the Queen. "Discuss it if you wish.. but every moment more men die on both sides. I will get kolvin for you, your Majesty." The wolfkin heads off to get Kolvin's attention, stopped here and there to fight a few Saviourites. He would reach kolvin shortly.

Ashigaru Village: Adelina looks to Briana, "As you can see, he's in the thick of battle." She nods toward the area where Kolvin fights. "I cannot see losing more men just to summon him." She looks back to Thad and squarely states, "Sound the retreat. Andor should be arriving here by the mor-" She cuts off her words as Thad already starts on his way out.

Ashigaru Village: Seeing the fresh forces come in, as well as the new rain of fire-arrows, more and more of the Cairhien start to run... retreat order or no retreat order

Ashigaru Village: Briana nods her head, "Very well..I will offer what aid I can to avoid a rout." With that said she bows her head concentrating and raises her arms to the sky.

Ashigaru Village: Thad turns after speaking to Kolvin for a moment. He returns without his cousin to the Queen. "Perhaps you should make this decision without his counsel." Yellow eyes glance over to the otehr Filderryn. "He is busy killing right now, i would not disturb him more."

Ashigaru Village: The Savior's own men groan at the sight of the snow, though they continue to press forward. Swords clang against one another as they press the Cairhien group with such a force and vigor that can't quite be matched upon the field.

Ashigaru Village: Narth mutters "They're breakin. This queen has to let em run or they'll be slaughtered."

Ashigaru Village: Kolvin is, indeed, in the very core of the battle as he battles from the back of his horse while his scything blade cuts through a man before him. Seikansha bucks and kicks powerfully with its hind legs into the chest of another. The horsemen of Cairhien are slowly joined by the foot but they pay a bloody price with their lives. The people who lay on the mound of growing death are, decidedly, more often the Cairhienin peasantry and common folk. Though many of the enemy and more than a few of the former horsemen nobility have joined in becoming fertilizer.

Ashigaru Village: With nothing more encouraging to say, Adelina nods her head a bit, mind made up, "The Andoran's should be here on the morrow." She nods to the bugler, who's kept close by, and in that, he sounds the retreat, four sharp notes, each of varying length.

Ashigaru Village: Briana turns to Thad, "Guard her life as your own Lord...I will be along shortly." She looks distrated once more doing something few would understand. "Majesty go now please you must not fall today."

Ashigaru Village: Narth to his men "Okay men! That's the Retreat sounding, but we need to protect them fleeing or these savior's will take all of them down"

Ashigaru Village: Thad nods and finds himself a horse, mounting it and sticking to the Queen's side. "Tomorrow, my Queen." He sends word to the men on the flanks to close in and allow the retreat to occur. It's a standard move, nothing out of the ordinary nor too risky.

Ashigaru Village: With the sounds most of teh Cairhienin army subliminally breathes a sigh of relief and turns its tail and breaks for home. A few, who know something of warfare, make a fighting disengagement of teh affair and make an effort to cost the enemy as heavily as they can but it is obviosuly a withdrawl none the less. One that is badly needed under these circumstances. Kolvin's army retreats, bloodied and battered.

Ashigaru Village: "On the morrow," Adelina agrees, nodding her head a bit. She spurs her horse into action, once her 'guard' is set about her, riding as quickly as possible to get away from the battle.

Ashigaru Village: Briana raises her arms looking out towards the advancing army. A small smile plays over her lips as the snow starts to turn into hail stones battering the men left behind and especially the attackers.

Ashigaru Village: Cries of victory start up from the side of the Savior's men and many of them seem to chafe and wish to make chase

Ashigaru Village: Adelina heads toward the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina arrives from the direction of the village.

Ashigaru Village: Thad heads toward the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad arrives from the direction of the village.

Ashigaru Village: The bulk of the army runs off for their lives

From the Cairhien Camp: As soon as she's reached the safety, or relative safety, of the camp, Adelina slows her horse and walks into the 'friendly' base. "Light send that I'll never have to live through another such event again in my life." To Thad, she'd look a little green.

Ashigaru Village: More bulk then

Ashigaru Village: Narth leads his men to defend the retreating Cairhien forces "Next time. We'll have more men next time..."

Ashigaru Village: Briana watches as the hail stones fall harder and heavier starting to coat the ground in ice here and there. Now at last she seems to come to herself once more as whats left of the Cairhein rear guard starts to fall.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad nods and comments to her quietly, "I agree, your Majesty. I may have an idea about how to perhaps make tomorrow's battle even shorter, but it's best discussed in private." His yellow eyes take in the sight of the guards around them, nodding to himself.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina pulls her horse to a stop, not too far from where she mounted hwen she left, and then dismounts. Grooms take her beast, as she tries to manage her legs, more so wobbly from watching all that death, then anything else.

Ashigaru Village: Kolvin heads toward the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Kolvin arrives from the direction of the village.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina nods her head a bit, "We can speak in my tent, where there are chairs and a stove to sit around." She nods to her tents, speaking to Thad as she does. Wobbily, she starts to walk in that direction.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad dismounts as well, handing his horse to another groomsman. He offers the Queen his arm to steady herself and follows her toward her tent.

Ashigaru Village: Seeing the orderly retreat but with the weather changed and the darkness coming down, the Savior's men are ordered to back off and keep the fight for another day

Ashigaru Village: The hail definitely causes an impact, causing some of the Savior's men to curse loudly and admonish each other. Darkened eyes glower at the woman who they preceive to be responsible for this, then they quickly gather their forces to move back for the night,

From the Cairhien Camp: The med tents are already filled with the wounded and dying and Valdan has his hands full as more of the army rides in, but he does pause as he catches a glimpse of Adelina, some relief showing on his face to see her alive and not carried in.

Ashigaru Village: Briana turns her horse and rides off following after Kolvin.

From the Cairhien Camp: Adelina takes Thad's offered arm, looking rather thankful for that motion. At least hiding away in her tents, the majority of fighters won't be able to see just how.... overwhelmed she was from today's exercise. She catchs Valdan's look and nods, though briefly, back in his direction. "If you will."

From the Cairhien Camp: That, Adelina speaks to Thad.

Ashigaru Village: An arrow flies after the witch

From the Cairhien Camp: Kolvin rides in near the end of the armies stragglers with his sword still in his hand. As he gets nearer to he 'core' of the camp which centers around her Majesty's tent and slips off of his horse whom he ties near some other horses at a small trough.

Ashigaru Village: Narth moving back to leave the field of battle calls to the woman "Better move that horse of yours, or you'll be left behind and you're responsible for your own defense."

Ashigaru Village: Narth heads toward the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Narth arrives from the direction of the village.

Ashigaru Village: Briana being at a fast canter and far up towards the friendly camp proves too difficult a target for the stray arrow. Soon the hail and stormclouds make it hard to see her at all. Finally Briana has disappeared into the camp.

Ashigaru Village: Briana heads toward the Cairhien Base.

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana arrives from the direction of the village.

From the Cairhien Camp: Feeling a little more wobbly, Adelina sighs a bit, "Perhaps our discussion should wait until after I've a nap, or some such." She speaks in an apologetic tone to Thad, and then releases his arm to start off to her tent.

From the Cairhien Camp: Thad nods. "Of course, your majesty. Sleep well."

From the Cairhien Camp: Briana rides into camp just before what remains of the Whitecloaks. She rides up near the Queen and slides off her horse carefull passing the reigns to an attendant.
