Several nobles within the Royal Gardens of Cairhien sit about speaking of the recent events happening with Lord Maizran, Duke of House Demmar. Jerlon happens upon the scene, looking for his wife, who seeks to take refuge from him there often. The others excuse themselves, and the discussion turns toward Serenia's lack of an heir, and Jerlon's worry over that fact.

February 2000

February 27, 2000

The normal nightly excursions that Serenia takes to the Royal Gardens become more and more frequent. In search of his wife, Jerlon finds Lady Serenia surrounded by a group of Lords this particular night; who were about to discuss the Lord himself. After their dismissal, Jerlon and Serenia get into their age old debate about why she doesn't love him and never will own up to any such feelings. On their way from the Palace, Serenia feels the sting of an assassin, who's attempt fails, but gets the message through to them.

A few hours after the attempt on Serenia's life, she finally stirs, to find herself in a great deal of pain; her shoulder injured. Jerlon insists on taking care of her. While it seems as though Serenia might balk, and she does a small bit, she agrees to allow him to care for her. However, when opportunity presents itself, she does try to strive to get along on her own, failing.

March 22, 2000

Queen Adelina holds a closed High Court session for the nobles of Cairhien. The agenda for this meeting is brief, though of some importance. The Queen queries the nobles of Cairhien on their views of the Savior, and inform them of a request he makes to send Ambassadors to their fair city.

April 2000

April 5, 2000

Even a few weeks after an attempt on Lady Serenia's life, she finds herself still confined to bed. Her husband, Lord Jerlon, is bent on trying to brighten up her day by bringing her breakfast.

April 24, 2000

Child Narth finds the Lady Serenia dining on a light meal at the Silver Star Inn. Approaching her, the two later turn to conversation concerning the Savior and the differences of political views between Cairhien and Andor; the Child's homeland.

April 26, 2000

Perturbed that Serenia did not come home to dinner once more, finding she's been having nightly excursions elsewhere, Jerlon goes in search of his wife, finding her at the Silver Star Inn. The two engage in conversation about Jerlon's wants and desires out of life, particularly his life in Cairhien. Serenia manages to extend him a veiled olive branch, which he fails to notice and grasp.

May 2000

May 9, 2000

Lord Maizran, Duke of House Demmar, plays a visit on Serenia at House Hagon. There, he tries to divulge the reason as to why the Lady has yet to produce an heir, after having been married to one of his cousins for almost a year. Using deception, she skirts her way around the topic, using the medical condition of her mother as an excuse, even should it not be valid for herself.

Queen Adelina holds an informal court session to discuss trade negotiations with the Ambassadors of the Savior.

August 2000

August 1, 2000

The Queen holds a formal High Court session to discuss the negotations between Cairhien and the Savior's forces. To show his good will, the Savior has give Cairhien two loads of grain, free, however the Queen still holds some reservations about agreeing to any terms the Savior wishes; including giving him full recognition as the sovereign of his 'nation' - whatever that may be named now that Illian and Tear are conquered.

October 2000

October 16, 2000

Briana visits with the Queen of Cairhien for a short time. They discuss varying issues, though that of the Savior keeps cropping up. While the Queen tried to maneuver the aid of Tar Valon, Briana Sedai kept maneuvering away from giving such promises, leaving the Queen vexxed.

October 21, 2000

The first battle between Cairhien and the Savior comes to a head. Heavy casualties are reported on both sides, but none so much as on the Cairhien side, leaving the Savior with a distinct advantage in the battle.

October 23, 2000

The Savior's men are beat back when reinforcements from Andor come to the rescue. Cairhien wins the war, but not without a heacy price. The loss of their Queen bears down upon the citizens heavily.

Briana Sedai of the Red and Valencia Sedai of the Green butt heads at the Tower's triage camp near the Cairhienin base camp.

The pressure of the loss of Adelina takes its toll on Duke Lyren sending him in a drunken rage trying to find those to kidnapped the child heir, Nessa. Briana Sedai chases the wayward Duke down trying to get him back into the safety of the palace.

The nobles of Cairhien gather together in an attempt to take back their lives within the royal court. Lord Tamikan Delasseur names himself Chancellor to the Throne.

December 2000

December 18, 2000

Princess Nessa, heir to the Sun Throne of Cairhien, has been kidnapped. A large reward has been offered by the Noble Council for her safe return, but the House Filderryn has organised a search based on a few rumours and whisperings. It was widely advertised and so it begins, nobles and commoners, all searching for the missing heir.

Thad, Lyren and Valdan are meeting at the Silver Star Inn before going out to find the bartender of the One-Eyed Queen - a man who may know something about the missing Princess Nessa, heir to the Sun Throne of Cairhien. Thadıs cousin Elyse is with them for dinner.
